Chapter 2

It has been a week after Alden and Shroom officially became partners and is currently being trained by Zach

"Stun pore!" Alden yelled towards Shroom

Shroom didn't say anything and puff up its body making yellow powder burst from it's pores

"Dodge it" Zach said calmly towards a Poochyena

Poochyena side step and avoid the yellow powder "Now use bite"

Poochyena growled and pounced towards Shroom with a wide mouth

Shroom tried to dodge the attack but Poochyena pounced at him with incredible speed effectively landing the hit

"Shroom no!!!" Alden screamed and run towards Shroom who has fainted

Zach came forward and sprayed Shroom with a potion and after a few seconds later Shroom wake up

"Shroom are you okay!?" Alden asked frantically and Shroom only nods at his trainers worried eyes

"Young master sorry to be rude but you could have dodged the attack if you'd reacted earlier and you've also made a lot of mis-"

"Hmph it's not my fault you're strong" Alden pouted interrupting Zach's words

"..." Zach didn't say anything

"Young master your towel" A maid who was observing from the sides give Alden a towel

Alden took the towel and wipe his and Shrooms face exhausted Alden goes to his room

"Argh why am I even doing this battle thing that only makes you hurt " Alden plopped down to his bed and complained to Shroom

Shroom who heard Alden complaining tackles him in a playful manner

"And yet how are you having fun!" Alden poked Shroom's cheeks

"Young master it's time for dinner" Anna said knocking on the door

"Coming!" Alden get up from bed along with Shroom heading to the dining room

Alden took a seat in the table and greet his mother

"So how was practice?" Alden's mother asked Alden

"Zach hurt Shroom again!" Alden said to his mother while chewing down food

Alden's mother hummed and eats her food making Alden annoyed

"Why aren't you angry" Alden questioned his mother

"Why would I be? Zach is only training you" Alden's mother said

"Training? more like torturing" Alden argues and his mother looks at him in the eye and said

"Dear this is all a part of training you can't just train with no difficulty and expect to be strong"

Alden eye rolled and his mother flicked his nose

"Either way this is just a part of training" His mother said and continued eating and so does Alden

Time skip 1 day

"Dig" Zach said avoiding a barrage of seeds

"Umm use stun pore on the ground?" Alden said unsure but Shroom does it nonetheless

Alden raised his guard ready to order Shroom if there's any sign of activity

A couple of seconds pass by and there's no sign of Poochyena resurging

10 seconds pass by and Alden lowered his guard a bit but suddenly cracks in the ground appeared and Poochyena rise out of it

Poochyena bite shroomish inflicting a huge damage but then a surge of electricity sparked around Poochyena's body indicating she's paralyze

Alden wasted no moment and said "Bullet seed now!!!"

Shroom jumps and 3 seeds was spitted out of his mouth damaging Poochyena

Poochyena flinched from the pain and the sparks of electricity dissapeard making her able to move again

"Tackle!" Alden ordered Shroom before Zach can issue his orders

"Dodge!" Zach said but since Shroomish was close it did not have time to dodge making Poochyena faint

"Yes!!!" Alden celebrated his victory finally wining a battle against Zach

"Well done young master you have used your head well" Zach congratulated Alden and sprayed Poochyena a potion

" Thx for the battle I'm gonna go brag this to mother!" Alden thanked Zach and goes to his mother to brag along with Shroom

"Mother! Mother I've beaten Zach!" Alden said spotting his mother

"Oh Alden you're here I was just talking to someone" Aldens Mother said

"Here this is Jenny and her daughter Gen" Alden's Mother continued

"Hello there Alden"Jenny said

"Hi..." Gen said nonchalantly

"Uh hello?"Alden greeted the two of them

"Right Mother I've beaten Zhask" Alden said waiting to be praised

"Oh your son already has a Pokemon? Why won't you let Gen and Alden battle" Officer jenny requested

"Thats a great idea we're close at the training are so why won't us go now" Alden's mother said already moving her feet Jenny and Gen followed her

"My praise..." Alden follows them sadly

"The only rules are no switches and healing your pokemon with a potion during battle" Zach said acting as the referee

"Start!"

"Go Growlithe" "Shroom!" Alden and Gen called out their pokemon

"Bullet seed!" Alden ordered Shroom and 5 speeding bullet seeds was spitted out of Shroom's mouth

"Ember" Gen responded fast to Alden's order and commands Growlithe

The ember clashed with the bullet seeds causing a small explosion

"Use flame wheel" Gen ordered and arcanine suddenly burst into flames and rolled towards Shroom

"Dodge it!" Alden commanded and Shroom dodged to the left but growlithe suddenly turned and hit Shroom in the back

"Shroom!!!" Alden yelled out worried

"Shro-mish" Shroom cried out surviving the attack

"Bite" Gen commanded without giving a chance for Alden to even think what to do

Growlithe blared her teeth and aim towards shroom

"Eh uh toxic!" Alden ordered hastily

"Stand back!!" Noticing the danger Gen yelled towards growlithe unfortunately the toxic hit Growlithe straight in the mouth swallowing it

Growlithe's eyes grew wide in pain but still managed to deliver the bite

"Go away" Alden ordered Shroom and the latter escapes Growlithe's jaws

'Now I just need Shroom to stay alive and we'll win' Alden thinks and catch his breath

"Use leech seed" Alden ordered and 3 seeds was spitted out heading towards growlithe

"Ember" Gen commanded burning the leech seeds away

"Flame wheel!" Gen commanded again and growlithe turned into a flaming wheel

"Stun pore!" Alden ordered and Shroom puffed its body and released yellow powder

Growlithe evades the pores and headed straight to Shroom

Alden sweats and said "Toxic go!" but Growlithe managed to hit Shroom before Toxic was made

"And the winner is Gen!" Zach announced and sprayed both pokemons with an antidote and potion

Shroom waked up a few seconds later and Alden hugged him asking the same questions again whenever Shroom faints

"Here" Gen handed Alden a water bottle which was half empty

Alden accepts the water bottle and thanks Gen

"That was a good battle!" Jenny said "Yeah good job Alden!" Jenny and Alden's mother clapped

"But I lost" Alden pouted

"You did great even with a type disadvantage thats amazing you know" Jenny said

"You two would make a great team" Aldens mother voiced in

"Right hey we should make them training buddies" Jenny suggested

"That's a great idea I'll send Alden by Saturday" Alden's mother said

The two of them then talked random things forgetting about Alden and Gen

"... Don't go deciding things without our decision" Alden helplessly said
