122 The Turning Point

"I know now. Youngest, thanks for the advice," Kang Jihoon contemplated a bit on what Floyd said and was about to leave.

"Wait~" Floyd hurriedly called him, his face full red as he said, "The thing that you saw earlier, that's just a misunderstanding,"

"Ah, that, earlier? Don't worry, I won't say anything," Kang Jihoon smiled slyly, looking at him.

"I didn't say you won't say anything, I just clarify that's just a misunderstanding," Floyd blushed as he said angrily at him.

"I know, I get it, I get it," Kang Jihoon just smiled as he waved his hand and walked away.

Floyd was helpless don't know if this guy really understood what he said.

And not only Kang Jihoon and Linh the one who approached him but also other people like Chen Xin and her team, Phuong, Jonathan, etc.

(I will shorten some names because it's too long)

These people were extremely excited about having their new pokemon on their sides. Floyd knows that feeling too, so he doesn't let them get disappointed and advises each one of them.

It is just that he doesn't understand why Chen Yu felt cold at him, he doesn't remember he provoked him, right? Floyd's thought

After a few hours, it was already evening and the meeting started again.

The main topic today is the video that Floyd previously recorded, using the power of beasts to change or affect the environment.

Seeing the video, all people except the few who already witnessed it opened their mouths in shock.

"You can actually do that?" Jonathan exclaimed, everyone could see how bewildered he was by what he had seen today.

"This was so magical, unscientific," Cuong responded.

"Since the beasts appeared here, our world already become unscientific. They already defy the science," Floyd calmly said.

"Almost everything in our world has drastically changed, even some of the environment," Kanraku said.

"That, pokemon, we need it, what is their name?" Hu Tianyi asked.

"Cherrim, the final evolution of Cherubi," Floyd answered, "It can be located once you get deep inside Kemonohaji forests, we will plan to go there next week on Monday," he added.

"It's dangerous there," Choi Yerin said.

"It doesn't matter, we already planned to go there, there must be an interesting new beast there, I would try if I can catch one, much better if it was strong," Kang Jihoon excitedly said.

"You were going too?" Choi Yerin was surprised then her worry weaved even more.

"Cough, of course," Kang Jihoon lied.

"Who said you're going? You have to pass my test first, later," Floyd exposed his lie as he rolled his eyes.

A few moments later, the topic related to the environment and beasts became the main topic, because of the move 'Sunny Day', other elements like Rainy Day by Watortles have also been discussed, thinking about where they can efficiently use it.

A few hours later, everyone left. Floyd returned to his pokemon and called them out going to the safe zone and fighting wild pokemon.

When the wild Pokemon saw Floyd, they hurriedly challenged him to fight.

"Horsea, it's your turn," Floyd called her out.

"Horsea?" Horsea sighed helplessly, then went forward, challenging Beedrill.

"I'll throw the coin," Floyd flipped the coin, and when it dropped to the ground, the battle started.

Horsea released a thick black smoke surrounding her, it's the smokescreen move.

Beedrill didn't hesitate to rush forward and used Twineedle, and Horsea was hit.

Horsea who was about to use Dragon Dance, was hit. She felt the pain of being hit by Beedrill, she was waiting for Floyd's command, but she remembered Floyd said he would not command and she would fight independently.

When she was in deep thought, Beedrill already used his second Twineedle and accurately hit Horsea.

Horsea screamed in pain, she felt hurt and hurriedly used another smokescreen.

Although Beedrill couldn't see anything in the thick smokescreen, it didn't deter him. He used Twineedle towards the last position he had seen Horsea.

However, when he struck, he hit nothing; Horsea had already moved to a different spot. Aware that Beedrill would rush at her if she used Dragon Dance, Horsea opted not to use it this time. Instead, she used Water Gun, but to her surprise, Beedrill instinctively avoided her shot and retaliated with Twineedle.

Horsea screamed as she was flung backward. Seeing Beedrill charging again with a second attack, she felt unsure what to do and resorted to using Water Gun again.

Zzzzzzzing

Horsea was hit by the attack and lost consciousness.

Floyd, witnessing this, was shocked. His Horsea hadn't managed to land a single hit on Beedrill. Observing Beedrill, Floyd realized that this Beedrill wasn't just a 'Rookie' level, as he had initially thought, but likely a Pro level, somewhere above level 30.

Although Horsea was also at Pro level, she was nowhere near Beedrill's caliber, and the gap between them was significant.

Floyd acknowledged his miscalculation, puzzled about where Kanraku had found such a strong Beedrill.

It was the first time he had seen such a formidable Beedrill, as the ones he usually encountered were at 'Rookie' level, with the strongest being early level 20's at Pro level.

The fact that Beedrill had reached this level without a trainer's guidance was remarkable. Floyd learned a valuable lesson: never underestimate any species, no matter how weak they may seem, or you might regret it.

He immediately rewarded Beedrill and healed Horsea. Beedrill, still eager, pointed his stinger at Floyd as if ready for more challenges. Floyd glanced at his available Pokémon, deciding on Fraxure. "Okay, Fraxure, come out!" he called.

"Fra-xure," Fraxure stepped forward, ready to face Beedrill. However, upon seeing Fraxure, Beedrill shivered and quickly took his reward, backing away. Floyd and Fraxure were speechless; they had thought Beedrill was simple-minded, but it turned out he was actually quite cunning.

Rhydon stepped up next, challenging Fraxure. As Floyd flipped the coin, their battle began.

Somewhere in Tochigi City, at a funeral site, Akira, dressed in a black suit, knelt in front of the gravestones of his fallen comrades. Beside him were incense sticks and offerings of flowers and snacks. In silence, he reminisced about the friendships they had shared, the tragedy in the forest, and the confusing glimpses of the future he had seen.

Longing to know more about the future and the mysterious Pokéball he had glimpsed, Akira had attempted to recreate it based on its appearance but lacked knowledge of the necessary materials. His visions of the future were just fragmented, showing only brief highlights, not comprehensive details.

As he yearned for more insight, a headache suddenly overwhelmed him.

"Ahhh!" he screamed, clutching his head in pain. Struggling to stay upright, he grasped the gravestone with his left hand, panting heavily. Sweat dripped down his face as an image flashed in his mind.

"This… is this the method?" he pondered aloud. "Can I really see the future?"

"He… He… hahahahahaha"

"Hahahahahahaha"

"I can see it! I can see it! Hahahahaha!"

A manic laughter escaped him as he looked up at the sky, reaching out with his right hand as if to grasp something. "With this weapon, I can control them, and not just that… I can also control the world, hahahahaha," he exclaimed.

Rising to his feet, Akira gave a final glance at the graves of his comrades.

"Farewell, my comrades!" he declared, walking away with a sense of newfound purpose and power.
