" I'll have important stuff to do so you'll stay here, Jerry would take care of you here" I said to Jessie while patting Jerry's shoulder who was standing beside me.

Jessie nodded obediently while smiling widely at me.

"Goodbye now" I said as I went on my way and just after I turned around my kind and cheerful face was replaced by a serious and calm expression as I went to my first victim's house.

Standing in front of a medieval-styled house not far away from the library, I knocked at the door three times.

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Who's there!" A crude man's voice said coming from the inside as a loud footstep could be heard walking toward the door.

In just a few seconds the door opens as a large middle-aged man with black hair and a skinny fat built was looking at me with a fierce gaze.

"Hello there, I am Tobi, your new neighbor" I said kindly as I extended my arms but he just stares at me fast and didn't shake my hands then slammed the door in my face without even saying anything but luckily I manage to stop him using my foot.

"That's a bad manner you know" I said with a calm tone as the corner of my mouth curved slightly.

I reach for his right arm which was holding the doorknob and silently used my Mark of Trust.

A ton of people who live not far away from this crude man's house was attracted by the noise as they surround the front of his house blabbering at each other.

I turned around facing them as I pat the crude man's shoulder while releasing an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry everyone, my friend was kind of in a bad mood" I said while continue at patting the man's shoulder then released a small bow.

"A friend? Rick you have a friend?" An elderly man who was standing in the very center was more stunned about the crude man having a friend and asked him directly.

Rick just nodded but the elder man was still surprised but soon dissipate as he move his gaze to me with a kind smile.

"Could I ask what this gentleman's name is?" The old man ask me as I nodded and told my name.

"I see, Tobi huh, what a nice name" He compliment

"Thank you" I said while releasing a gentle and kind smile.

We continue having a normal conversation as the other civilians also started to introduce themselves to me while some recognize me, I also wasn't loafing around

as I marked every single one of them until there is no more non-marked person left but that doesn't mean I already own the outer layer.

According to the old man named Fred, the outer layer was once united but because of a conflict, it was divided into many different parts and the government in the inner layer didn't care about the citizen in the outer layer and only care for themselves.

Hearing the old man's answer, I fell into a deep thought but was soon interrupted as the other civilian joined the conversation that lasted for a very long time.

I was startled by the system's sudden interruption but soon compose myself as I appraise my rewards.

{Pokemon Aptitude Enchancer}: A syrup that enhances pokemon's aptitude by one level for example; A Red stage Pokemon would become DeepRed stage.]

I was delighted at my rewards, let's first talk about the Pokemon Aptitude Enhancer, it's a very useful potion that could help Pokemon advance in Aptitude! that alone was enough to tell you how valuable that is.

And the most valuable item of the 3, The Foodchain, is an Op skill that would be extremely useful for the organization's future development!

I couldn't wait to try out my new skill but a sudden noise interrupted me.

I didn't quick react but observed the sound direction as I saw silhouettes of two people who quickly run to the opposite of our direction.

I hurriedly follow them carefully making sure they didn't notice.

After running for 30 miles away from Rick's house, they finally stopped as I hide behind a tree not far away from them.

"Do you know who that brat is?" The taller man asks his partner as they both change their outfits to a black costume with a big R at the center.

My eyes widen seeing their outfit, recognizing what that outfit represents.

'Team Rocket'

"I don't" His partner replied

"Then what should we do now? The mistress ordered to report any changes that happen in that village at all cost."

"What do you mean 'what should we do? of course we're gonna report to the mistress!" His partner annoyingly as he took out a cellphone thingy in his pocket but was interrupted by a sudden gunshot.

*bang*

I shouted the taller man down and quickly run toward the remaining one and pin him down.

The one with a cellphone didn't have time to react as everything happen in just a flash as he was already laying on the ground.

I activate my Mark of Trust at him, he would be more useful alive than dead.

'Team Rocket's member was here meaning they're also eyeing this place.' I conclude by hearing their previous conversation.

'Looks like this place wasn't as easy as I thought' I thought rubbing my nonexistence beard.
