7 Pallet Town, Kanto Region.

"This is Route 1, one of the famous routes the trainers of the Kanto take when they go on their journey. The forest we just passed was Virindia forest known for its bug types, while the city is Pewter city known for its rock type gym," as they closed in on Pallet town, the driver of the taxi explained the famous landmarks to the Salvador family.

"I want to catch a bug type for my team; maybe I should get it from Virindia forest," said Alan as he thought about all the bug pokemon he had seen when they passed the forest.

"I would warn you against it," spoke the taxi driver, "not only is the forest infested with one of the most dangerous bugs but there is also a colony of Scythers that will attack you on sight. Unless you are strong, I advise you not to enter the forest."

The fame of Virindia forest was known throughout the world for its bug-type pokemon as the bug types from Kanto were right behind Unova in their fame.

"Don't worry, Eve and I will one day come and defeat all the pokemon in this forest, right Eve?"

"Eveee," it replied with a slight nod.

Alan took out his Pokedex and scanned it over her.

Eve had just passed the baby stage and entered the beginner stage yesterday, and it could finally start battling. Both Alan and Eve were excited about it since Alan had shown some league fights to Eve, and she was hyped up for it, wanting to start training immediately.

'I will make our blood bond tonight.'

HE had not bonded with Eve since it was still in the baby stage. From what he knew, the blond bond would take some of their blood essences and taking away blood essence from a baby pokemon could lead to a drop in potential and growth.

And when she finally entered the beginner stage, they were busy packing for Kanto and a few other things.

He had still not learnt about the ability of Eve since it would only be known when it would use it during a battle.

"How long till we reach Pallet town?" asked Ellie.

"It will take us just an hour or two at max," replied the driver, and Ellie just nodded her head.

The drive was boring with nothing significant happening, along with the fact that they were all tired from the long flight; they just wanted to reach their destination as soon as possible.

After a few more hours, the car suddenly stopped.

"Are we there?" asked Alan, but then he slumped back on his seat when he saw the forest that was still around them. However, some cars were parked just a few meters away from them.

"We will be getting off here," said Alex as he opened the car door, followed by Ellie and Alan soon after.

"Why would we get off in the middle of a forest?"

"It is a rule of Pallet town; you cannot get there on a vehicle," explained Ellie while Alex paid the tab for the taxi.

"Then how are we getting there?" he tilted his head in confusion.

"He should be here soon," as Alex spoke, the space around them distorted, and two figures appeared in front of them. A woman and a pokemon.

Weirdly enough, Eve perked her ears as if she knew something was about to happen before the duo had appeared, but none noticed her.

"Huh?" the woman looked at the Salvadors, surprised by how they were here, and she did not know anyone of them.

"It's nice to meet you. May I ask who you are?" she asked out of curiosity.

"My name is Alex Salvador, my wife Ellie Salvador and my son Alan Salvador," with a polite smile on his face, Alex introduced himself and his family to the woman, "and you are?"

"Where are my manners," said the woman as she proceeded to introduce herself, "my name is Catherine Sharon."

"It's nice to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine, but I will take my leave now. Hope you like your stay in Pallet town."

Once she was inside her car, Alan could not help but speak, "why did it feel like she was showing off?"

"Evee," and Eve nodded at that.

"Don't mind her," said Alex before speaking to the pokemon in front of him, "I am here to meet Prof. Oak."

"He has informed me of your visit; please prepare yourselves for a teleport," as soon as he spoke, the space around them twisted, and they disappeared from where they stood.

The next time they appeared, they were not in a forest but rather a peaceful town with farms and small houses built everywhere.

"So this is Pallet town?" asked Alan, but he and Eve went to a corner puking their guts out the next moment.

"It happens to everyone during their first teleport," said Alakazam before he passed some of his Psychic energy through them, making them feel better.

"Hmm, you have not yet formed a blood bond?" he then asks, surprised as he senses that there was no connection between Alan and Eve.

"She just reached beginner stage; I will be doing that tonight," replied Alan, not trying to hide anything as there was nothing to hide.

"If you go straight from here, you will reach Oak Laboratories; Prof. Oak will be waiting for you there," without waiting for any response, the pokemon disappeared once again.

"He was in way too much hurry," said Alan before they all started walking towards the laboratory. Soon enough, they reached a piece of land with a huge mansion and a laboratory built right behind it.

"So this is Oak residence? Way too big, I can't even imagine how they would clean the place so big," said Ellie as she looked at the size of the house.

"Trust me; it can be a hassle."

"Huh?"

A beautiful woman with green hair walked towards them, followed by a few kids the same age as Alan.

"My name is Purple Oak; you must be Alex Salvador and family? It's nice to meet you," the woman introduced herself.

"Ah, Purple Oak."

She was a well-known figure in the world of pokemon. Even though she was not a champion, she might be just as strong as one. Also, the wife of a former champion Blue Oak, a woman many others looked up to.

"Father had to visit somewhere a few moments ago urgently, so he will not be here for a few days; however, he asked me to help you around."

"It will be our pleasure."

"You guys can go to the battlegrounds, there will be someone to supervise so you can go have some fun," she told the kids, and they hurriedly ran towards the battlegrounds.

"Why don't you go with them too while I show your parents around the house?" she asked while looking at Alan and Eve.

"We have not made a blood bond yet."

"But you can always battle, right?"

Understanding what she meant, Alan looked at his parents, who nodded their heads, and he too ran towards the direction the kids went.

"This training camp is for them; let's just let them have some fun,"

With that, the adults went for a walk around the house while Alan ran after the kids and very soon, he reached an ample space with a pokemon field drawn on it.

"That's so cool, right, Eve?"

"Eve ee."

As the duo walked towards the place the kids had gathered, Alan saw a familiar figure surrounded by a few guys standing among them.

She looked towards him as if sensing his gaze, and her eyes widened with surprise, but then, with a slight smile, she walked towards him under the watch of all the people.

'Why is she coming here? And where is her Gibble?' thought Alex before his attention went to the Pokeball that was strapped on her waist, 'so she already made a bond? I guess I am the only one here who hasn't,' he concluded as he saw everyone had a Pokeball on their waists.

"Just like you said, we meet again."

"I said it just for the heck of it; who knew I would see you here as well."

"So you are going to be part of the training camp?"

"Yes, I am very much looking forward to it."

"Why does your Eevee not stay in a Pokeball?" asked Cynthia with a puzzled look.

"We have..."

"And who might you be?" before he could answer, a sharp voice came from behind Cynthia.

A boy with pink hair and a beautiful face that was more feminine than girls walked towards them with a haughty expression.

"Judging your clothes, you don't seem like the type to be worthy of being here," he spoke before turning to Cynthia, "why don't we resume our talk and leave this bumpkin behind?"

Alan's face distorted in anger, but then it suddenly became calm once again, but everyone on the field noticed it.

"What, you have something to say?" said the boy with a wide smirk.

Alan looked at him with a long sigh but then shook his head before turning to Cynthia, "I guess we will talk later."

"You! Don't ignore what I say."

"Do you have pokegram?" instead, Alan ignored him again and kept talking to Cynthia.

"Yes, let me add you on it," she said before they both exchanged their contacts under everyone's gaze.

'The Cynthia Sharon exchanged her contact with someone?'

Half the training ground was filled with boys who were now fuming in jealousy.

"You, I challenge you to a pokemon battle," unable to hold back his anger, the boy challenged Alan.

"Sure."

"Huh?"

'Wasn't he supposed to say no?' was what almost everyone was thinking.

Without waiting any further, Alan walked towards the battlefield with Eve, more than ready for a fight.

'I always wanted to have a pokemon battle; no way am I turning away from it.'

'I need to win this, or I would end up being a joke,' as relaxed as he was trying to act, Alan was freaking out at the moment.

This was going to be an essential battle for him and Eve; not only was his 'pride' on the line, but it was also his and Eve's first battle together. This could set a stage for them, the confidence they would gain; this battle had more at stake than what it looked like.

He could have rejected it, but he did not want a friendly battle. What use would it be? There was no way he would perform his best in it, unlike when something was at stake in this one.

"So you have chosen humiliation? Then let me show you the difference between you and me."

As the boy stood at the other side of the battlefield, a man walked up to them, acting as a judge for this battle.

"Introduce yourselves."

"Daniel Joy, Kanto Region."

"Alan Salvador, Elian Region."

"So even the region you come from is the weakest," he tried to provoke but got no answers from Alan who had his eyes closed.

"Bring out your pokemons."

Daniel held his pokeball in his hand before throwing it towards the battlefield, "show him his place, go Ralts."

Alan too opened his eyes and said in a calm voice, "Eve, let's win our first battle."

'What is its potential?' he thought and placed a hand on his eyes and activated his 'God Eyes.'

Thats what he decided to name it, as a ten year old he really loved the name.

'Dark Blue. Thats the highest potential pokemon I have seen so far.'

Alan took out his pokedex and immediately scanned Ralts for any basic info he could gather and compared it with Eve

Just from a casual glance Alan knew that the tables were not in his favour. Most of the moves learnt by Ralts ver Special moves, means it could keep the distance while attacking Eve.

'So it does not show me the IM of my opponent. If only had made a Blood Bond and used those TMs.'

He sighed as he could see himself at a disadvantage but now was not the time to think about it but to rather fight since Daniel had already called his first move.

"Ralts use Calm Mind."

A move that would increase his Special attack, a good choice but since the pokemon used was weak, it would take some time to charge and use and Alan tried to make use of that opportunity.

"Eve, full speed tackle, he can't move while he is charging," as soon as his words dropped, Eve charged at Ralts with no hesitation.

As the Ralts charged its move while Eve tackled, the stage was set.

Alan and Eve thus started their very first battle.
