Family and Some Encounters

It had been a week since Eve had reached Light Violet potential while Alan got his second pokemon.

Alan walked down a hallway from the airport in Viridian city while Shin was following right beside him, looking at everything in curiosity. Eve as always, was inside the Pokeball, which was hanging around Alan's neck.

"We will soon meet our family, and I am sure they will be happy to see you," he spoke to Shin, who had grown a lot within the last week.

Alan had still not begun his training, but it would soon start since they would be travelling the whole Kanto region.

Over the week, Alan played around with Aura and found out about its many peculiarities.

For starters, it gave him a huge physical strength boost when he implemented Aura. He was still not proficient enough to control it properly, so he was sure that the boost he gained with Aura was a lot higher than he currently had.

The next thing he found out was that he had vast reserves of Aura.

He did not have anyone to compare himself to, but he had asked Cynthia about it, and even she was surprised by the amount of Aura he had after explaining a few things to her.

She had guided him in Aura training every night in the past week on video calls. According to her, it was best to train in Aura early in the morning along with your Aura partner.

She too had an Aura partner, which she trained with, and it was also her second pokemon, a Riolu.

She would teach him how to use his Aura and how he could better control it.

According to Cynthia, the first step was to feel it, which he could already do very easily, attributing to his incredible talent in Aura, followed by the next step, which was moving the Aura.

He was currently at this step and struggled a bit with it.

Alan had a long way to go before moving on to the next step in his aura training, and it would just get more challenging as he reached higher levels.

As he was busy telling Shin about his family, he suddenly heard a shout within the Airpot.

"MY CUTE BABY!!"

Without even making a second guess, he knew who it was by those words.

It has been six years, and he was sixteen years old now, yet his mother still called him silly nicknames, which were borderline embarrassing in public. He had tried to protest but was hit by the emotional torture of how 'he no longer loved his mother anymore,' making him give up and accept his fate.

As he walked towards his mother, who was waving her hands, a small smile appeared on his face regardless of being embarrassed. He missed his family, and the last time he visited them was about a year ago.

But before he could even reach her, a small figure ran jumped towards him before she hugged him tightly.

"Big brother."

A dotting smile appeared on his face as he looked at the little girl in his arms.

She was none other than Alan's younger sister, Elizabeth. She had the same black hair and eyes as Alan, while her face resembled Ellie, unlike how Alan resembled his father, Alex.

"How is my little princess?" asked Alan before he picked her up and placed her on his back while giving her a piggy ride.

"I missed you so much! Did you miss me too?"

"I missed you as well," replied Alan as she stared at him with cute eyes.

"Beth, come down, let your brother rest," said Ellie as she tried to get Elizabeth off Alan's back, but the little girl clung onto her brother, not wanting to let go of him.

"Let her be," said Alan as he too did not mind it but rather felt happy as he saw Elizabeth smile.

"You and Alex spoil her too much," said Ellie as she gave up while shaking her head before looking towards the pokemon that was following behind Alan, "is this your new pokemon?"

She looked at Shin, who watched the interaction between Elizabeth and Alan with a hint of jealousy. It was quickly caught by Ellie, who was looking at him.

"Yes," Alan nodded his head, "I bought an egg from the auction, and even in my dreams, I would not have imagined that it belonged to a Mystical Pokemon."

Ellie showed a small knowing smile before she walked up to Shin and held her arms out to pick him up.

"Don't, he loves punching people," warned Alan, but it was too late as Shin immediately punched Ellie when he saw her getting too close to him. But to his surprise, Ellie easily dodged the punch and picked him up before she gave a slight turn as if playing with him.

"Aren't you a feisty one?" she said before turning towards Alan, "and I believe you are going to let this one do what it likes the most?"

Shin tried to get out of Ellie's grip, but he could not, no matter what he tried.

"It would be best if I train him in what he wants to do the most," said Alan as he already had a fighting style planned for Shin.

"Brother, my gift?"

"You love pokeballs, right?"

"Yes, and I am going to catch a lot of pokemon with them."

"Well, guess what?" asked Alan before he waved his hand a little and a Pokeball appeared in his hand, "this is the Luxury Ball that you liked the most; this will be my gift to you."

"WAAAAH!!"

She immediately jumped from his back and snatched the Pokeball from his hands before she started playing with it.

"You should not give her such expensive gifts at such a young age," said Ellie while shaking her head at both of them.

"Which Pokemon should I catch with it," said Elizabeth as she looked at Shin, "can I catch your pokemon?" she asked with baby eyes.

"Kub-Kub."

Shin immediately started yelling, as if trying to say he was Alan's pokemon and he should not give him to Elizabeth.

But then Elizabeth showed him her tongue, "I was just teasing you, hehehe."

"Let's get in the car and talk while we are on our way to Pallet Town," said Ellie as she walked towards the car while Shin was still in her hands, but he was no longer struggling, but instead he had resigned to his fate, just like Alan.

"How is dad?"

"Once his previous research was finished, he immediately began his next one, which is related to the first in a few ways."

"Mega Evolution?" asked Alan as he already knew what his father was researching about.

Ellie nodded her head, "the research on Mega Evolution was a breakthrough for your father, and now he is working on something very similar to it."

"So tell me, when will you leave for your journey? I was really surprised when you chose Kanto as a starting point."

"I will be starting tomorrow; I cannot delay it any longer. As for why Kanto? I want to be as strong as possible before the next Elian Conference; I will make sure to dominate the whole tournament and sweep through it. For that, I need a strong team, and therefore I will go to each region, gathering my team and training them," replied Alan while he clenched his fists tightly.

"I know you can do it," encouraged Ellie before she made a playful smile, "some of your 'friends' from the training camp will also start their journey tomorrow, and you might meet them today at Oak residence."

Alan looked at her with a confused face before he understood her words.

"I hope they won't disappoint."

"That would depend on just how much you and Eve have grown."

Alan did not reply to that but kept his confident face.

Drive to Pallet town was boring except when Beth asked Alan to tell her about different pokemon.

They soon reached the outskirts of Pallet town, and as soon as they got off the car, the space around them distorted, and an Alakazam appeared before their eyes.

"It's been a while since we last met," said Alan as he saw Prof. Oaks pokemon.

"Hmm?" Alakazam was about to reply when he noticed something, "you unlocked Aura?"

"I met my Aura partner, and he helped me with it," explained Alan but left out the other details.

Alakazam nodded his head, but it showed a surprised expression when it looked at the pokemon that was following behind Alan.

"Is that?..." he asked, with slight disbelief in his voice.

As intelligent as he was, seeing a Mystical Pokemon as a new trainer's partner was rare, if not impossible. And from what he knew, the mother and father of this pokemon were 'them.'

"My Aura partner," said Alan as he could understand Alakazam's surprised expression.

"Let's go," said the Psychic pokemon before all of them disappeared and then reappeared in front of Oak residence.

"You should know the way," it said before teleporting away once again.

"Let's go, I can feel some people inside, and I am sure you would want to meet them," said Ellie with a sly smile as if she was hiding something from Alan, "I will take Beth to her room before I come to see you, it's time for her afternoon nap."

She immediately picked up Elizabeth and made a run for it, not letting Alan question her.

At first, he was confused but then just shrugged his shoulders before walking into the Oak Mansion, followed by Shin.

"Maybe she is up to one of her pranks?" he told himself as he remembered the times his mother pranked him.

The doors opened automatically, and a large hall appeared in front of them. But rather than it having furniture like it was on normal days, the hall was filled with all kinds of tech stuff.

"Is this for some research?" wondered Alan.

"Indeed."

He heard someone say from behind and he smiled as he saw who it was.

"How have you been, Prof. Oak?"

"How many times have I told you to drop formalities with me?" said Oak as he shook his head, "so you are finally going on a journey. You should be excited, right?"

Alan nodded his head as they both started walking indoors, "I barely slept last night and the one before and maybe the one before that as well. I have been waiting for six years, and it will finally happen tomorrow."

"Hmm? Tomorrow?" asked Oak with a surprise but then gave a smile as if something would happen very soon.

"Is there a problem?" asked Alan as he sensed the changes on Oak's face.

"Of course, the great Gary Samuel Oak will go on his journey tomorrow."

With a cocky smile on his face, a boy with spiky hair and a purple shirt walked towards them, followed by a Wartortle.

But he was not alone; two more people walked in front of him.

Alan, who saw them for the first time, did not need an introduction to know who they were, and his mind was going through hundreds of thoughts as he saw them.

"You should know them already but let me introduce you to them," said Oak as he walked forward before pointing at one of the two men, "this is my son, Blue Samuel Oak, or just Blue. He is the former Champion of Kanto Region."

"You must be Alan?" said Blue as he raised a hand towards Alan, who was looking at him with stars in his eyes.

Alan hurriedly shook Blue's hand in excitement, "it is an honour to meet you," he said, sincere with his words.

"As for him," said Oak as he saw Alan and Blue were done with their introductions, "he is also a former champion of Kanto Region, Red Ketchum. But he quit because it was too much work"

Unlike how Blue was welcoming and cheerful, Red was the polar opposite. He kept looking at Alan with his serious eyes as if he was searching for his secrets that were hidden with him.

As the time went by, Alan started to feel pressure which soon became almost unbearable to him.

"Kub-Kub."

Enraged at what Red was doing to Alan, Shin raised his fist which was now covered in very small fire and ran towards Red. But he was stopped dead in his tracks by the pressure released by Red.

"Let's leave him out of this," for the first time Alan spoke to Red but his words were ignored as the pressure now fell upon them both and Shin who was not strong yet, and had not even started his training was already on the floor.

"I said leave him out of this," enraged seeing Shin like that, Alan burst out with a strong Aura from his body and from his neck a black light flashed before Eve appeared in front of Shin, taking all the pressure on herself.

Surprised by the sudden out burst of large amount of Aura and an Eevee suddenly appearing to face him, Red gave a small smirk before he raised the pressure once again.

"Look at his face," snickered Gary from the side but one glance from Blue was enough to shut him up.

As the Aura inside Alan started leaking out to resist the unknown pressure, he started feel weak from it's after effects.

Aura was essential part of one's life, it could be restored but once the Aura is depleted, it would leave one in a weakened state.

Just when he thought he would drop from exhaustion, the pressure was lifted off and a voice was heard from behind him.

"I think he said to leave the little ones out of it."

Alan immediately recognized the voice and looked back to see his father walking towards him.

Alex stood beside him as he stared daggers at Red.

He bent down and whispered something in Alan's ears while giving a an evil smirk. Red who was known as the strongest champion of Kanto, visibly flinched when he saw that smile while Blue looked tried his best to not get involved between the two parties.

"Red," spoke Alex as he once again looked at the man in red clothes standing in front of him, "have you seen Ash?"

Red's eyes trembled but before he could say anything Alex gave him a small smile, "make sure you invite him and your wife to the dinner tonight."

And the smile soon changed into an evil grin, this time Alan gave the exact same grin to Red.

"And you too, Blue."

If we reach 1k Power stones (Or somewhere close to it), then I will drop another chapter.

Enjoy this chapter!
