'She raised by a level?' thought Alan as he looked at their opponent, who was flying in front of them with visible anger on her face.

There was no exchange of words between them, and the Beedrill was the first to make her move. She used Focus Energy and Agility to raise her stats while Alan asked Eve to use a Sunny Day.

Eve had already used a Power-Up once again before the fight began. A cheap move, but who cared.

With the 'sun' appearing again in the evening sky, the battle between the two Pokémon began.

The Beedrill used Poison Jab from the starting; though she was stronger, she knew that her opponent was strong as well; going all out from the beginning was the best thing to do.

"Use Growl and then Dig."

Eve did as told and used a Growl before using Dig to escape. The Beedrill stopped in her tracks, waiting for Eve to appear.

"Use Calm Mind," said Alan as Eve further raised her Special Attack. The Beedrill understood Alan's tactics and used a Focus energy herself to gain a boost.

Once done with the Focus Energy, she used Toxic Spikes to trap Eve.

'That is a bit problematic,' thought Alan as he saw the Toxic Spike take effect, "use Shadow Ball."

Eve jumped out of the ground with a large Shadow Ball already charged by her before releasing it at the Beedrill.

"Use Psychic on those trees and step on them," said Alan as he pointed at the trees that broke during the fight between Shin and the Beedrills.

"Good thing Psychic is at Expert stage," said Eve as she stood upon the tree logs.

At the expert stage, a Pokémon can use two moves simultaneously. Psychic, which was at the expert stage, would allow Eve to use another move along with it and hence she could use Psychic to float the logs while also using other moves along with it. If Psychic was still at an advanced stage, it would not have been possible.

The Beedrill, on the other hand, narrowly dodged the Shadow Ball and was surprised at how Eve was avoiding her Toxic Spikes. But she, too, had a fair share of fights; that was how she had reached level 36, through fighting for her life.

She dismissed the shock and charged Eve with another Poison Jab.

"Confusion."

Alan wanted to use the same tactics he used on Fearow. Since Psychic-type moves were super effective on a Beedrill, he had to take full advantage of it.

Eve moved one of the tree logs to block Beedrill while she stood on the other and used Confusion.

Beedrill dodged it immediately, but she was then hit by a third tree log that came flying at her from behind.

"Bee-Bee."

She was pissed at how she could not get to Eve to land a hit.

Beedrill did not have high Special Def, while Eve had low Defence. This fight was about who would land more hits since it could go either way regardless of the level due to how different they were to each other.

Eve jumbled the logs, distracting her opponent before firing off another Confusion. At the moment, it was one of Alan's favourite moves. It had a low range at the early stages, but due to Eve's high level and having reached the Beginner stage, the problem with range was solved effortlessly.

She kept firing Confusion after Confusion while Beedrill tried to get past the logs Eve was using to keep her away.

'She is so dumb,' said Eve in Alan's mind, and he could understand why she would say that.

For a Pokémon so strong, the Beedrill was not even considering the possibility of destroying the logs. She was so angry and focused on other things that she ignored a very basic thing.

But as if she had read their minds, the Beedrill blasted straight into the logs with annoyance, destroying them in one hit.

'You Jynxed it.'

'Tsk,' Eve clicked her tongue, used the wooden shards as weapons, and threw them at the Beedrill, who was stunned at her own stupidity.

She soon snapped out of it, and with anger more than before, she dodged all the tree shards and made her way to Eve.

"Confusion once again," said Alan with a calm tone.

This time, the Beedrill flew high into the air and released a Pin Missile, a move that allowed her to keep some distance from Eve.

Both Pokémon had an advantage over each other, and Alan could tell what Beedrill was thinking.

She would stay away and attack since it was too difficult to get close. With things were going, Eve would dry herself of Psychic energy.

"Use Psybeam," he said since it had a longer range than Confusion.

Beedrill, however, stayed away from Eve's range, trying to play the time game.

'Since when did Beedrills start thinking?' Alan cursed in his mind before he thought of a possible solution.

He looked around for a possible 'thing' he could use to gain an advantage while Eve tried to get a hit on the Beedrill as they both engaged in an exchange of Psybeam and Pin Missile.

"That's it," said Alan as he found a possible solution to their problem, "Eve use Shadow Ball on all the trees nearby."

Eve did not question him and ignored the Beedrill while she started destroying one tree after another.

Beedrill had a bad premonition after Alan gave the command and decided to stop her actions before charging at Eve with a Poison Jab.

"Fly around with the log and dodge."

Eve used the log to fly around while she released Shadow Ball one after another and destroyed all the trees around them.

"Use Psychic and through all the logs all at her."

And Eve did what Alan asked before using Psychic to raise all the trees and flung them at the Beedrill.

Having learnt her lesson, the Beedrill did not dodge the logs but started destroying them one by one.

"What are you doing?" asked Eve as Beedrill was getting close to her.

"We might have to take a hit."

"Alright."

With every log thrown at her, the Beedrill would destroy it before she was finally close to Eve. She used her strongest Poison Jab at her opponent with a satisfied smile, and Eve was sent flying backwards.

She was not critical, but the Poison Jab was super effective.

With a crazed grin, the Beedrill once again made her way towards her opponent, wanting to finish this as soon as possible.

"Morning Sun."

Alan first decided to heal Eve to make sure she could take another hit in case needed before he finally began his plan.

"Use all the destroyed shards and float them around Beedrill."

Alan gave another command, and Eve stood up before using Psychic to throw thousands of wooden shards at Beedrill.

Eve had a purple tinge around her face since she was poisoned by the previous attack along with the Toxic Spikes.

As all the wooden shards were thrown at Beedrill, it created a scene where Beedrill was covered in them with no visibility. She could not see Eve, who was at the ground, poisoned.

"Use Swift to know her location," asked Alan.

Swift was a move that would always hit the opponent.

While the wooden shards acted as a smokescreen that kept Eve hidden from Beedrill, it did help the Beedrill stay hidden from Eve as well.

Swift would make sure Eve knew where her opponent was.

"Jump towards her."

Beedrill, who was suddenly hit by Swift, was confused, but she soon saw Eve moving towards her. She immediately charged another Poison Jab to finish this fight here and now.

As she moved her stingers and poked towards Eve, Alan gave his next command.

"Protect."

A spherical shield surrounded Eve, blocking any attacks thrown at her.

The Protect blocked the Poison Jab, leaving the Beedrill full of opening at the failed move since she was not expecting anything to stop her attack.

"Psychic."

Eve used Psychic to get hold of the Beedrill and flung her to the ground.

They could have done this before, but due to level difference, the time Eve could hold Beedrill in Psychic was limited, and Alan wanted to use it when Beedrill least expected it to make it more effective.

"Charge a full-powered Hyper Beam."

Eve understood what Alan was thinking and started gathering Normal-type energy around her mouth with an evil smile.

Beedrill could feel the powerful energy fluctuations from the move Eve was using and knew it would be a threat to her life if not dodged.

With its mind panicking to escape the hold of Psychic, Eve was done charging her strongest Hyper Beam.

"I love this move," said Eve before she brought the Beedrill towards her, and when it was within a meter, she released her fully charged Hyper Beam.

*Boom*

The beam travelled for tens of meters, destroying everything in its path.

The Beedrill, who was held down by Psychic, took the full brunt of that beam, and after the attack was over, she was still floating in the air with the help of Eve's Psychic, but...

Half of her body was missing, while the other was bleeding with greenish blood.

"Espeon used Hyper Beam," said Eve as she walked towards the Beedrill who had few breaths left, "it killed her opponent."

She used another Psybeam to take the last breaths Beedrill was left with.

With that, the Beedrill died with an angry and dissatisfied look still on its face.

"You can be mean at times," said Alan as he walked towards her.

"It was for poisoning me."

Alan took out another full heal and cured Eve of all the poison.

[Big sis, you are so strong, I want to learn a Hyper Beam too] Shin, who had idealized Eve ran towards her with an excited expression.

Eve just stayed silent and gave a proud look.

"Do you feel any changes?" asked Alan.

Eve immediately stopped goofing around with Shin and checked herself before giving a satisfied smile.

"I levelled up."

Alan activated his Pokedex and checked her status.

"Good," he said before he looked at his youngest Pokémon, "what about you?"

[I levelled up as well] replied Shin, and Alan could understand him due to Eve's Psychic powers.

"Good job," praised Alan before he petted Shin's head and used his Pokedex once again to check his status as well.

"Headbutt?"

Alan looked at the new move Shin had leant due to evolution and it brought a pleasant smile on his face.

'I should start training his Fighting-type moves from now,' thought Alan but he gave a wary smile at his words. Shin, a fighting type pokemon, ironically only had two fighting type moves in his arsenal, 'maybe he will get more when he levels up? I should get him some good TMs after I leave the forest.'

Once he was done with his thoughts, he looked at his partners excitedly.

"Good, let's reap the rewards of our hard work," said Alan before they moved towards the Beedrill nest.

Alan collected all the Beedrill honey and led his Pokémon towards the next colony of Pokémon.

They had eleven hours before meeting up with the Mission Squad, and it was enough to gain enough level given the high potential of both his Pokémon.

Within the Viridian Forest an underground Cave.

A group of people gathered around a table while they focused on the large screen in front of the room.

The screen lit up, and all the people in the room stood up before kneeling in front of the person who had appeared on the screen.

"Sir!" they said in a unified tone.

"Team Rocket has built this base to hide our shady dealing of Kanto Pokémon with other Regions," said the man on the screen as he looked down at all those before him, "but there is a small rumour among the League that this base has been compromised."

His words brought shock to everyone's faces, while some had fear.

"Don't worry, it is still not confirmed if they know about this, but I want you to prepare to move our base from this location. We will empty this whole cave in two days and transport all the captured and stolen Pokémon to a different location."

None voiced an opinion, but all nodded their heads in agreement.

"Darka," the man on the screen called out.

"Yes, sir," said the man with a scary tattoo on the face.

"As an Executive of Team Rocket, I give you all the authority regarding this operation. Make sure there are no mistakes."

"I will obey your command," said Darka, still kneeling, but a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

The man noticed it too but ignored it.

"Did you get the map?"

"Yes, sir. We received the map yesterday after we successfully delivered the goods to the customer."

"Good, keep it safe! I will take it from you in two days. Now start preparing and make sure there are no mistakes."

The screen cut off as soon as his words finished. Darka, who was waiting for it, stood up with a cocky smile plastered on his face.

"Well then, I am the boss here; any objections?"

No one voiced any thoughts as it was a decision made by the Executive himself.

"That's what I thought," he said before he looked at the two other people, " we three are the only Advanced stage trainers here; let's make sure this mission is successful. I will make sure to put a good word in for you as well."

The duo nodded their heads.

Darka started giving out orders, preparing the captured Pokémon to be moved out of this location along with all other things.

'This will make sure I am promoted.'
