Twenty-two years old, a young man named Alan dies but is born in a new world due to his good karma. What world, you may ask? Of course, it's the world of Pokemon. Will he keep his memories? Will he get a system or a cheat like other Mc's? Well, you will have to read to find out. Follow Alan on his journey in the world of pokemon. ***Disclaimer*** I am not knowledgeable about pokemon games and this is how I always imagine myself in the world of pokemon. The story will be slow as I don't want the mc to grow super op in just few chapters. I hope you give my book a chance. I do not own anything related to pokemon except my Oc characters.

Alan scanned both the pokemons with his Pokedex, checking their level, and one glance was enough for him to know how impossible it was for Beldum to win this. But was it really impossible?

Alan looked at Steven, ready for a show.

Beldum was not a strong pokemon; it could even be considered one of the weakest. With the only move available to it being Tackle, it lacked the offensive power, but its defence was high compared to the other pokemon.

Both the pokemons were not at much of a type disadvantage to each other; the only difference was that one pokemon probably had a more extensive arsenal of moves while the other only had one move it could depend on.

But there was one advantage that Beldum had over Squirtle if it could even be considered an advantage. That was its weight.

Beldum was one of the heaviest pokemons among all pokemons within the same evolution level. The last stage of Beldum, the Metagross, was called a living tank for a reason.

It was all on Steven how he was going to fight this battle.

"Squirtle, use Haze," said Gary taking the first move, Steven, on the other hand, gave the most unexpected command.

"Bel run around," he said, and Beldum did as Steven said and started running around the battlefield. It almost looked like it was playing and enjoying itself, or was it actually just playing? Nobody knew except Beldum itself.

"Are you asking it to play because you know you can't win?" said Gary when he saw Beldum run around the field. He formed an arrogant grin when he thought how Steven had already given up.

'How could he even think of beating me?'

The whole field slowly and steadily started getting covered in a haze as the temperature decreased slightly. Steven could feel the cold, but he ignored it and paid full attention to Gary and Squirtle.

"Squirtle, use Work Up," ordered Gary as he saw Steven was in no hurry to attack him while Beldum was running around the whole battlefield, "use it to your maximum capacity."

'I will finish this in one move to show my awesomeness.'

Steven looked at Gary and kept his small smile while the rest of the people could not understand what he was up to; according to most, he had already given up.

The only ones who knew he had not given up were Alan, who knew his friend's real nature, and Cynthia, who was having some doubts after what Alan had said to her.

"Your worst mistake was to let my Squirtle power up; if you have given up, just say so so we can just stop," said Gary with a smirk on his face and an arrogant look as he looked at Steven.

"Did nobody teach you? There is a very thin line between arrogance and confidence," said Steven while shaking his head, and then he looked at Beldum, "this much should be enough."

"I will show you if I am arrogant or confident. Squirtle, use Rapid Spin."

Hearing his trainer, Squirtle jumped up before withdrawing his limbs into his shell and started spinning and shooting off towards Beldum.

"Beldum, that Squirtle wants to have a tackle fight with you," said Steven as if he was telling a baby to play its favourite game, "you can freely play with it."

"What?" said Gary when he heard Steven's command, "you want to clash head-on? Your Beldum is not even fast enough due to its weight..."

But as soon as he did so, the Beldum, which was randomly moving around the field, made a turn towards Squirtle and flew towards it at speed a lot faster than anyone would have expected, even with its heavyweight.

'Light Metal, the ability of Steven's Beldum,' thought Alan as he looked at the fight.

Both Squirtle, who was powered with Work Up and Beldum, who had been 'playing' around, smashed into each other at a breakneck speed, creating almost deafening noise.

*Bang*

As they clashed, the dust clouds flew around them and then a pokemon skid out of the dust cloud holding its head which had a big lump on it.

"How is this possible?" shouted Gary as he was surprised by what had just happened.

"Do you know what happens when something really heavy moves around, gaining momentum and then hits you in the head?" asked Steven with a small smile, "Bell, fly to me."

As soon as he said that, Beldum flew towards Steven and just as he was close, Steven gave another command, "that Squirtle said it will take away Eve."

The big eye on Beldum's head started glowing in sharp light before it gave a loud yell and flew towards Squirtle.

"Bell-Dum."

Beldum was a pokemon with very low intelligence. They could be very easily agitated and could very quickly be made happy. Primarily when it was related to something they had an emotional attachment with.

Being a shiny, Bell was kicked out of his Metagross colony and discriminated against until it became Steven's partner.

It, however, never got along with other pokemon or people until it met Eve. Coincidently, out of Stevens's expectations, Bell opened up to Eve, and they became good friends.

So telling a pokemon who theoretically hated other pokemon that their friend was about to be taken away by someone would make them angry. Add that to the fact Beldum's actions were purely based on emotion, not intelligence.

As he saw Bell coming towards them with that light on its head glowing brightly, Gary and Squirtle panicked as they had seen the power behind the weight of Bell combined with high speed.

Panicking at the sudden turn of events, Gary hurriedly made an order, "Squirtle, use water gun."

Squirtle did not dare disobey his trainer and used a Water Gun at its power.

"Squir..." it took in a deep breath before he let out its biggest water gun ever, "...tleeeee."

As the Water Gun shot off towards the angry Beldum, it did not even care to move aside. It struck the Water Gun head-on with all its weight and speed.

Unfortunately for Gary, it was not enough to stop the momentum built up by Beldum.

Bell pierced through the Water Gun and made its way towards the Squirtle, who was now out of breath after the previous attack and struck it right in the chest.

The Squirtle flew off into the air giving a painful cry.

Not wanting to waste any chanced, Steven called out to Beldum while pointing his finger, "Bell, look what is up there."

Beldum's anger immediately calmed down after Steven called out and looked up to where Steven was pointing. Ignoring the Squirtle it had just thrashed, it flew up looking for what Steven was pointing at, and very soon, it was about twenty meters in the sky.

Gary, who had guessed what was about to happen, lost all the colour in his face, "Squirtle, get up and move away."

"Bell, look, that pokemon wants to play tackle with you," said Steven once again with an evil grin which he copied from Alan and just as he said, Bell looked at Squirtle, who was struggling to stand up.

And just as Gary had expected, Bell started dropping from the sky and crashed straight into the Squirtle, who had barely gotten up after the last tackle.

*BANG*

Once again, dust clouds flew into the air, hiding what had happened, but most people could guess what the result of the last tackle was going to be.

As soon as the dust could settle down, the referee walked up to the field and looked at Squirtle, who was lying on the ground, unconscious. Gary, too was on the floor looking weaker than before.

"Squirtle has lost consciousness; Beldum is the winner. The victory goes to Steven Stone from the Hoenn region," surprise could be seen in his voice as he too could not wrap his head around the result.

Who could have imagined a pokemon with no intelligence, and just one move could defeat a pokemon two levels above and possibly more moves in its arsenal.

'Never underestimate your opponent,' thought the referee as he saw Steven and Bell walk away towards their seat.

"What just happened?" someone spoke in the silence that the stadium was enveloped in, and everyone could hear those words trying to wrap their heads around the previous fight.

The who was most likely to win, Gary Oak, had lost miserably.

Everyone looked towards Prof. Oak as if wanting to see his expression. He still had the same smile, but one could see disappointment and worry somewhere in his eyes.

"From how the things are going, it does not look like Kanto will have anyone good in this generation, unlike its past two generations," said Caroline from the side.

She was not trying to put Oak down, they had been friends since young so that she could be open with him, and Oak too nodded his head as he heard her words, "there is still Sabrina," he said softly, but there was some uncertainty in his voice as he looked at Cynthia and Steven.

"There is also Leaf..."

"Next match Leaf Green from Kanto Region vs Alan Salvador from Elian Region," announced Zack, and Oak did not complete his words.

He just sighed.

Caroline felt a bit sorry for her friend, but deep inside, she was happy too.

'Will Kanto finally lose its supremacy for once?'

Cynthia looked at Steven and then at Alan as she remembered the text he had sent her.

Steven reached the place where Alan and Eve were waiting for him.

"I loved how you destroyed his smug face," said Alan as he made a fist.

"What can I say? I am just that awesome," replied Steven before bumping his fist with Alan's, "it's your turn now, don't make me regret being friends with you."

Their parents watched them mess around and formed a smile; who would not be happy to see their kids make good friends?

"Good luck Alan," said Alex before he gave a small warning, "make sure you are careful."

"Don't worry, he will be fine; he is my son after all," said Ellie.

"And that is exactly why I am worried," said Alex before losing all the colours on his face, 'Fuck me and my tongue.'

"Do your best, just like I told Steven, have fun and do your best. Don't care about winning or losing," said Devon with his signature smile and thumbs up.

"Do your best," added Lisa with a smile.

Alan thanked them both while he saw his parents fight in the background. He walked towards the battlefield while Eve jumped on his head, his steps calm and steady.

As both the participants took their place, the referee walked up to the field, "introduce yourselves."

"Alan Salvador."

"Leaf Green."

"This will be one on one battle between Leaf Green of Kanto region and Alan Salvador or Elian Region. Both of you send out your pokemons."

"Go Eve," said Alan and Eve jumped down from his head landing in front of of him in the battlefield.

"Bulbasaur, I choose you," Leaf threw her pokeball and a green coloured pokemon appeared in front of everyone.

Seeing the appearance of the pokemon everyone looked at Oak, as if asking for an answer. It was one thing to give a royal pokemon to his grandson but another to give it to a random girl.

Oak as if understanding what they meant gave a small smirk before he spoke in a soft voice which everyone could hear, "don't look at me like that, you should have already guessed who she is right? Does it look weird that the daughter of the royal guardian has a royal pokemon?"

Hearing his everyone's face sank, they already knew what the name 'Green' represented but it was almost hard to believe that the guardian clans which kept to themselves wanted to appear again.

"You will soon see others make an appearance, it isn't like the ones from your region have not started making some movement, right? Caroline" said Oak, his words giving everyone the answer they needed before he turned his eyes back towards the two young kids who were about to battle, 'will Kanto give rise to the strongest generation again?'

He had his hopes high for Ash, Gary and Leaf as well the other 'two' but so far Gary and Ash had not lived up to his expectations, 'maybe this tournament will help them realize the path they need to walk on?'

Alan took out his pokedex and scanned Bulbasaur followed by Eve.

As Alan looked at the level of Bulbasaur he could not help but shake his head, 'another Light Violet for sure, who even is she to get a royal pokemon?'

"Begin."

"Bulbasaur Use Sunny Day," said Leaf and Bulbasaur did as told.

The match started in a same way it had started with Alan's first opponent Jennie, but Alan knew this was going to be tough battle, not as easy as it was before.

Here is a bonus chapter for today!

I hope I can get some Power Stone for the book.

Thank you!
