39 What is this place!!
It's been a week since Aoki and Misty departed from Cerulean city towards Vermillion City.
If they continued at the speed they were in, it would take almost 20 days to reach Vermillion City which they had no problem with.
They were taking the longest route by the coastline as that was a path with less forest city. The short path had a lot of complications and chances that their GPS would stop working.
Vermilion was the second largest city after Saffron city in the Kanto region due to it having the largest dock for all kinds of ships.
The road to Vermillion city was around 50 km from Cerulean city as they have to take a long route if they don't want to go through Saffron city.
Both of them had decided to come to Saffron city after getting the gym badge from Vermillion City.
Aoki already had 6 Pokemon so he was currently not interested in increasing his party size except if he gets a rare Pokemon.
Misty had 4 Pokemon and wanted to add two more to her team so they decided to take the route through the coastline to see different kinds of water Pokemon.
With the addition of Gyarados and Bagon, their food expenses have increased again. As there were now more mouths to fill, every Pokemon started to learn to help in cooking to make the process much quicker.
Misty had successfully learned to make basic dishes that had the required amount of nutrition in those days.
A week later after crossing some small towns and cities, they finally reached the coastal line.
Aoki and Misty played on the beach with Misty wearing a bikini giving Aoki's eyes a nice feast.
"Like the view ?" said Misty doing a pose.
"Very much "
After having some fun with Misty, Aoki began training his Pokemons in the water.
Although it was a bit cruel for Chameleon, he had to get used to water if he wanted to grow more.
Moreover, Charmeleon was unexpectedly fired up to fight against his fear of water.
Aoki had formally started Bagon's training with a calm mind, and energy manipulation.
He is still a novice at energy manipulation so he hasn't started physical training yet which he plans to start in a few days.
One specialty of dragon Pokemons was that they could learn a wide variety of moves.
Although Dragon-type pokemon are known as the strongest species of Pokemon, they are not famous as starters due to their very high maintenance. Unless used in some resources like Dragon fang or corpses of strong dragons, dragon pokemon grow very slowly.
Aoki has plans to find some Dragon Pokemon carcass in the black market when his Pokemon is at least master level.
His Bagon was very friendly with all his Pokemon and tried fighting everyone as soon as he learned his first attacking move which was a good point to help him get stronger.
A little far from Aoki, Misty was training her Gyarados to fly. If Gyarados have enough control over flying-type energy, they can hover in the air making them more mobile on land.
When the energy control reaches another level, Gyarados can even fly in the air like a flying Pokemon but not as comfortably as them.
After training his Pokemon till they can't stand anymore Aoki continued his journey.
There were sightings of Slowpoke around this area so Misty and Aoki were searching for it as Misty wanted a Slowpoke.
Getting Misty a slowpoke can get Aoki to release another research paper on the evolution of Slowking.
These Pokemon had psychic powers which would be a good partner for Misty's Starmie.
Aoki assumed that there might be Slowkings and Politoed out there but were hidden from human eyes.
Apart from Slowpoke, Aoki was searching for king rock as they sometimes washed up on the shore.
Aoki had already placed an order for a piece of King's rock from the researcher association which would take a few days as it was not available in their stock.
Aoki had to reveal his identity as Professor Gunhildr before placing an order but he was not so worried about leaking his identity as this association maintains maximum privacy.
If Aoki had at least 3 master-rank Pokemon, he would be fine even if his identity was leaked.
None of his Pokemon were reaching elite rank soon due to sheer difficulty to reach that level.

The light from the crescent moon fell on Aoki and Misty who were laying by the shore on a mattress.
Beside them was a bonfire where all their pokemon were chatting while eating marshmallows after burning them in the fire.
Today the night sky was free of clouds so all the stars were visible. The winds from the ocean were not too cold too, in short, a perfect night environment.
The peaceful moment was broken as they saw a pink Pokemon wash up to the shore while releasing a pained cry.
Aoki and Misty went to see the situation and found that it was a young Slowpoke with a large bite mark on his leg and body from where blood flowed.
Based on the pattern of the bite mark, it belonged to a Gyarados. It was luck that Slowpoke managed to escape from Gyarados.
In one of the hands of the Slowpoke, there was two Kings' rock that was held tightly.
The Slowpoke looked at the two humans with a pained expression
"Please Help me! " a voice rang inside the head of both Aoki and Misty.
"Misty take out our medical box" Aoki ordered.
"Clefairy you know what to do"

Misty immediately started disinfecting the wound while Aoki asked Clefairy to use a healing pulse. Aoki left the rest of the work to Misty as she knew more about water pokemon.
Slowpoke lost consciousness during the treatment.
The first thing Slowpoke saw after opening his eyes was Misty feeding him while he was laying on her lap.
"Thank you humans for saving my life, " he said in the heads of both Aoki and Misty.
"Unfortunately I have to leave, pardon me "
"You are not leaving till your injuries are healed " rebuked Misty.
"Forgive me I cannot stay any longer, " said Slowpoke as he tried using teleport to run away but due to the unhealed injury his psychic energy ran rampant and enveloped both Aoki and Misty.

"Bam! "
Aoki's head slammed into the ground.
"Bam !"
Misty fell on him, worsening his condition.
"Misty I appreciate you sitting on my face but now is not the time. Please get off! "
Misty realized what happened and hurriedly moved away from Aoki whose head was planted into the ground.
Aoki called out Clefairy and asked to use heal pulse on his face as his nose had started bleeding.
"Where even are we ?" said Misty, as far we vision went she could see a forest filled with mist.
Aoki took out his Pokedex and saw that there was an error in the error section.
"Misty, try using the compass "
She did what Aoki asked but the compass needle started rotating all around.
"Where did the Slowpoke that teleported us go? I have the kings rock with me " said Aoki
"Don't know. Teleport must have transported us to his homeland.
Let's move ahead and see if we can find anything. "
"You found the Slowpoke weird right? "
"Yes, it was not lazy at all. It appeared to be energetic unlike every Slowpoke I had seen so far"
Aoki released Pidgeotto to blow away the mist in front of them as they started walking.
A little far from them a tall mountain filled with trees could be seen too.
They kept walking through the forest and heard the occasional sounds of insects or falling water. The trees in the forest were filled with fruits Aoki had never seen before.
Aoki didn't try to eat or make his Pokemon eat those fruits as he doesn't know if they are poisonous or not.
Clefairy who was walking with them told that there are a lot of Pokemon at the end of the forest.
As soon as they exited the forest, their vision was filled with a scene that could be described with one word, 'massive '
There were around 200 Slowpokes and Slowbrows of different sizes gathered around a platform.
There was a lake near them from where tons of Shellders were looking at the scene while some were biting a Slowpoke's tail.
Similar to the numbers of Shellders were a group of Poliwags, Politoads, and Poliwraths.
On which stood a Slowbro who was different as he had the shell on his head like a crown rather than the tail and another never seen Pokemon that looked like a green frog. Misty had no idea about them but Aoki knew those two were Politoad and Slowking.
Every Pokemon turned backward and looked towards Aoki and Misty and the next second at a specific Slowpoke who had a bandaged leg.
The bandaged Slowpoke was the same slowpoke who made a face as if saying
"Sorry, I messed up "
