Troubles and rewards 

One of Crobats released an air cutter while another one released Venoshock directly at Aoki.

" Charmander Protect …..Pidgeotto Air slash. You two don't hold anything back "

A semi-translucent shield appeared in front of Charmander that protected them from the Venoshock.

Pigeotto's air slash was like sharp winds taking the form of a crescent moon which destroyed the Crobat's air cutter which reached near her instantly. Pidgeotto was shocked to see the power and speed of Crobat's air cutter.

Charmander dashed towards one of them and used a fire spin while PIdgeotto used a steel wing.

Aoki gave them some commands but his main focus was on Nidoran as he commanded him to fight those Goldbats along with Misty.

Normally Nidoran would not stand a chance against such a large number of enemies but this is where Aoki's talent truly shined.

On the other side, the Weepinbell condensed a solar beam and started firing at the Zubats.

Normally it would take a lot of time but since Sunny day was up it was condensed into seconds. Some managed to dodge but they were taken down by bullet seed.

Misty and her Pokemon started fighting the Golbats and Zubats with Weepinbell and Nidoran helping her.

"Weepinbell leave those bats to Misty and help with the large bats" Aoki commanded calling Weepinbell to his side.

As for the people there….

Most of them were alive but would die due to blood loss if nothing was done in time.

"Everyone keep fighting as I said, I need to help those people, " Misty said as she dashed towards the end of the chamber.

She took out some portions and started feeding everyone.

Although portions had very little effect on humans, at the moment every help was needed.

"Misty duck !! "

Misty ducked her head hearing Aoki as blades of wind passed over her head creating large marks on the wall.

'Eee ! a second late and I would have been dead…' Misty shivered as she moved away from the battle.

Back to the main battlefield.

"Pidgeotto increase your speed as I taught you "

"Weepinbell stall some time for Pidgeotto "

"Charmander roll back and use Dragon tail to jump in the air "

Pidgeotto realized that even with the blessing of tailwind, the Crobat was faster so she started using the Agility and Double team to increase her chances.

Crobat used confused ray, and supersonic to confuse but none of them hit Pidgeotto.

Her new speed pushed Crobat to a corner.

Charmander was fighting against the one that was spamming shadow balls at Charmander. He jumped in the air as Aoki instructed as was able to get a hit on Crobat who could not react on time.

Aoki was now sure that the Crobat was released by a trainer as it knew steel wing, aerial ace, shadow ball, sludge bomb, etc.

Even with all that Charmander was held against that Crobat fairly.

Out of all his Pokemons, Charmander liked to battle the most so finding strong opponents was blissful to him.

Aoki made Weepinbell join the battle with Pidgeotto and let Charmander fight till he felt like was enough.

Meanwhile, Nidoran walked up to all the fallen bats and started to absorb their poison with Misty making sure that nothing goes wrong.

The more Misty saw Aoki's Pokemon fight, the more his image became dignified to her.

Being able to command three pokemon simultaneously when one wrong move can cause death is very difficult.

'I cannot stay behind, I have to work harder so that I can fulfill my dream too. ' said to herself.

Boom!

The combo attack of Charmander and Pidgeotto landed on Crobat causing an explosion. The second Crobat condensed a Shadow ball to hit Charmander but Weepinbell's Solar Beam hit him from the back making him crash on the ground beside the first one.

Now that the two Crobats were on the ground, Weepinbell used vine whip to bind them while Charmander used Dragon Breath and Dragon rage multiple times finally ending the battle.

Aoki took out two Pokeball and caught the Crobats not before making Weepinbell absorb their poison and collect some in a small bottle. There were puddles of spilled poison all over the place too which Aoki collected carefully.

He did not give it to Nidoran as the power of the poison would be overkill for him. Nidoran had not yet formed the poison sack so he would give them to him when he is ready.

'This battle gave the same feeling as the time when my Pokemon confronted the Venusaurs..

The feeling being closure to death…the feeling that everything in the world depended on me..one wrong move and everything crumbles.

Although the battle was hard and tiring, the power boost my Pokemon will get after this match is worth it'

All of the Pokemon that fought the battle were injured and given immediate medical attention

Fortunately Aoki and Misty had enough medical supplies for them to make a complete recovery and not develop a scar or permanent injuries.

"Misty let's move everyone from here and then take a rest. This chamber is still filled with poison and will be harmful to us "

"I was thinking the same thing, let's do it "

There were around 10 people here with 15 pokemon.

Two of them were the archaeologists they were searching for while the rest were some trainers and cave explorers but one of them had a black shirt with an R logo.

" Sure enough, a team rocket is involved, " Aoki muttered.

This incident could be the result of multiple actions like team rocket members messing up deep in the cave and making the Crobats come to the area with lesser Pokemons or these Crobats were stolen from someone by the Rocket members and didn't listen to their commands or the Crobats came out of them rest by themselves.

'This needs to be investigated….I still want a Clefairy anyways so I will see about this matter on the way'.

Misty and Aoki one by one started collecting the Pokemon in their Pokeball and started moving towards the camp inside Mt. Moon carrying those people with Weepinbell and other Pokemon.

They reached the camp after walking for 2 hours as they had already defeated all the wild pokemon.

Initially, they had decided to take rest somewhere near but their Pokemon recovered fast so they took this step.

Moreover, the new wild pokemon did not attack them as they knew the consequences.

They were surprised to see a lot of Archaelogitsta at the camp ready with their Pokemon. Seeing Aoki return with a lot of people, they ran towards him to help.

There was a woman with a medical degree who checked the condition of the people and informed them that they are out of danger for the moment but needed to be taken to the hospital.

One of them began sobbing and thanked Aoki and Misty for saving his brothers.

Few people stayed at the camp to help Aoki and Misty rest while the rest called for help from the Pokemon Centre and started to leave the cave.

Aoki and his Pokemon rested for about 12 hours and were in their best condition and ready to go. He had a lot of things to do in Mt.Moon.

" Misty, I will be going deeper into the routes not following the map to search for Clefairy and look into the matter. Do you wish to come?

" I am going with you! "

" It would be very dangerous you know? We fight have to face a hoard of Crobats this time"

" I don't care, I promised to accompany you throughout your journey so I will not leave you alone.

Moreover, you will need someone to have your back for you to fight without worry "

" Fine!, let's go then"

They took a short rest with Aoki making food for everyone. " Can you tell me when the next full moon is ? "asked Aoki to one of the archaeologists.

" It was supposed to be today " he checked his watch and said that around 8 hours are left for it.

Aoki connected some dots and reached a conclusion and asked Misty to hurry up and follow him. If Aoki's conclusion was right they could witness an amazing site and solve the case together.

"Misty take out your bike we are going faster, " Aoki said as Pidgey grabbed from the back and started to fly faster.

"That's a convenient way of going faster you have developed I must say"

After an hour they returned to the place of the battle with the bats still fainted, Aoki ignored them and started moving forwards while making Charmander and Weepinbell destroy every pokemon in his path.

After another hour of fighting some strong Pokemon, they reached a place where there were traces of battle.

They looked around and found dead bodies of humans who had their necks snapped.

All of them had an R logo shirt on them.

In front of the bodies was standing a Clefairy, the Pokemon looked towards Aoki and tilted its head. Although Clefairy looks very cute in general but standing beside a dead body her cuteness was frightening.

"We came at peace, we have nothing to do with them," Misty said.

Clefairy was a species similar to grass-type Pokemons that could sense emotion to a degree so it could tell that Misty was telling the truth. Weepibell and the other Pokemon did the rest of the talking with the Clefairy.

Aoki from his bag took out his top-quality Pokeblock and Pokemon food.

"If you take us to your tribe, I can give you tasty food"

Clefairy came forward and put a piece of it in her mouth after sniffing.

The eyes of Clefairy started shining with a gleam as it gulped the entire thing in one go.

"Did you like it?"

Clefairy nodded its head and snuggled against Aoki's palm as if asking for more.

After eating another serving, Clefairy asked Aoki and Misty to follow it.

" Did you get what happened now Misty "

" Yes, team rocket tried to capture the Clefairy and disturb their sacred ritual which happened on every full moon. Let's forget about the investigation and focus on the current situation" Misty said

"Sure, it would be the best "

They moved forward and started hearing some voices of Pokemon which they assumed to be Clefairy.

A little ahead was a cave entrance that emitted light, Aoki and Misty entered the cave entrance which opened up to an area with the sky visible.

The light from the Full Moon fell on a big shining stone around which danced Cleffas, Clefairies, and Clefables.

On the walls of the chamber, more moonstones were embedded which shone from the moonlight.

Some of them looked towards the guest while one Clefaible came forward, Aoki asked Weepinbell to convey the message that they came at peace.

" We didn't come to disturb you but to witness the ritual. I hope it won't cause any problems. "

The Clefaible said something which Aoki asked his Weepinbell to tell him. After spending a lot of time Aoki could figure out mostly what he was telling him. But before Wepinbell could tell, a sweet voice rang in Aoki's mind.

[Don't be scared human, I am talking to you with telepathy. I was saying that you are allowed to watch only if you don't make any noise or disturb us. If you interrupt us, the same will happen to you like the humans you saw on the way ]

Although Clefairy looked cute and harmless but had strong control over gravity with which they generally snapped the necks of Pokemon or People that attacked them.

Aoki agreed and sat down in one corner with Misty and his Pokemon.

The tribe continued their ritual by dancing and singing around the big moonstone happily. It was a harmonious scene that brought peace to the minds of all the watchers. Misty supported her head on Aoki's shoulder and watched the scene.

At one point the big moonstone shone and half of the Clefairis started glowing and evolved into Clefable.

This made them celebrate with another round of singing and dancing.

Aoki made some delicious food for the tribe which made them very happy.

In the end, Aoki made an offer if any one of them wanted to join him. The largest Clefable thought for a while and asked Aoki to release all his Pokemon as he wanted to talk to them.

Aoki did that was told and released Pidgeotto, Charmander, and Nidoran as Weepinbell was really out. Every Pokemon of Aoki told about how Aoki took care of them and fed them delicious food every day.

Finally, the Clefairy that showed Aoki to way decided to join him but after a battle with his Pokemon.

Aoki chose Nidoran but this was the most annoying fight Nidoran ever had due to the moves of Clefairy like Charm, sing, gravity, and metronome bringing out psychic of all the moves.

Due to Aoki's accurate commands, Nidoran didn't get hurt too much and won against the Clefairy.

Aoki exchanged two high-quality Moonstones with more food and some portions and bid farewell to them.
