24 Second evolution and more training

The next morning Aoki and Misty entered a famous coffee shop. There were two Meowths at the counter to welcome them. They realized that the entire cafe was Mewth-themed, from decorations to wallpapers everything was related to Meowth.

There were a lot of customers served by people wearing Meowth embroidered aprons.

" Ummm it's nice ! " said Misty after drinking the cup of coffee that made a white mustache under her nose.

Aoki took a pic taking out his Pokedex before telling her to wipe it off.

" Good materials "

" Hey delete that! " Misty started acting like a cat to snatch the Pokedex. In the end, Aoki deleted the picture in front of her but he already saved a copy as soon as he took the picture.

He had more embracing pictures of her like when she fell down into a pond after slipping or when she banged her head into a tree while screaming as a Caterpie fell on her head from the tree.

In the afternoon Misty and Aoki went for the gym battle which was set on Public mode so there was an audience to watch.

Some were trainers who lost to Brock and wanted to see who bites the dust next while most of them were locals of Pewter city.

" Go-Go Misty you can do it !! " cheered Aoki from the crowd.

'Stop embarrassing me !! " cursed Misty as her face turned red. Some people in the audience recognized Aoki and Misty which increased their expectations for the match.

The match began with Misty sending out her Poliwag while Brock started with his Geodude.

Brock used the same sandstorm strategy and defeated Poliwag despite having a type advantage.

Note that her Poliwag was still in the Junior stage so her water moves were not so strong. Next Misty sent out her Staryu which managed to defeat Geodude.

Now the difficult part began. Brock sent out his Onix who immediately increased his defense after coming into the field.

The clash between Staryu and Onix was nothing less than spectacular. The crowd cheered in excitement watching them clash.

Somehow Aoki felt like Brock was going easy on Misty. There were many instances where Brock didn't initiate to attack Staryu which would have ended the match.

'Some partiality for an old friend seems fair '

Aoki's conclusion was spot on as Brock indeed went easy on Misty. Since his childhood friend was starting as a Pokemon trainer, it made him happy so to encourage her, he went a bit easy on her.

After a hard battle, Staryu came out victorious defeating Onix with continuous water attacks.

Both Aoki and Brock had to agree that Misty was good at commanding her Pokemons. She was an unpolished gem that could be shined to be perfect.

Aoki made Misty her favorite dish and an intimate kiss for winning.

After the match, Aoki started giving his Pokemon intense training and trained with them. He was alone outside the city as Misty and Aoki generally trained their Pokemon alone.

After evolution Pidgeotto's speed had increased to a new level so Aoki increased the weights on her.

Pidgeootto now had three goals; first was to master the new moves that came after evolution, namely Air slash and Agility, second to learn to coat her body parts in steel-type energy, and third increase her speed and maneuvering even more.

Out of the three, the most difficult was the second one as that level of energy manipulation would push a Pokemon beyond its limits.

Pokemon ever doing that but Aoki believed that if she had learned steel wing, she can do that too ..no had to do it.

Aoki opened his Pokedex and looked at the stats of Pidgeotto

[ Name: Pidgeotto

Type: Normal / Flying

Species: Bird Pokemon

Gender: Female

Ability: Keen eyes ( immune to attacks that lower accuracy ), Tangled feet ( raises evasion if pokemon is confused )

Stage: Intermediate

Moves: Tackle, sand attack, gust, quick attack, tailwind, workup, Protect, double team, peck, wing attack, aerial ace, roost, steel wing, agility, Air slash ]

Next was Charmander who had now good control over fire and dragon-type energy, so it was steel-type training for him too.

Charmander had learned metal claw before so it was time to learn iron tail and coat his body in iron-type energy. Out of all the three Pokemon Charmander was the worst at energy control so he has to work extra hard.

Aoki had never stopped training in martial arts so he taught some moves that he can use in battle.

Finally, he focused on Bellsprout who had learned Solar Beam. " I think it is time for you to evolve buddy ".

Hearing this Bellsprout was visibly happy. It's okay for a Pokemon to not evolve throughout its life but it is harmful to a Pokemon to hold back its evolution for too long.

Aoki told Bellsprout to stand in front of him as he kept three medium-quality leaf stones and the miracle seed in front of him.

The leaves stones cost him 20k Pokedollars but Aoki was ready to spend for his Pokemon.

Although Bellsprout didn't need these to evolve, Aoki wanted to provide him with as much energy as possible before evolution.

Aoki fed Bellsprout something which was made after combining his food and poke blocks.

" You can start now, " said Aoki as Charmander and Pidgeotto surrounded their friend to see him evolve.

Bellsprout burst out in a white light which turned deep green as it covered the leaves, stones, and miracle seed, its body grew larger as the light turned light green as the rainbow wing released its energy into the evolution light.

All of a sudden Aoki felt weakened but he didn't lose his focus and waited for Bellsprout to evolve.

This was by far the most strange phenomenon to Aoki. Even after digging through various information pages on the internet and in books, he could not find a condition where evolution drains a person's stamina.

'I might have some kind of power but no use of thinking about something I cannot control'.

Aoki had his suspicions as his Pokemons were growing too fast.

The light faded and what uncovered was a 1.7 m tall Weepinbell. The light normal light yellow color of a normal Weepinbell was now golden, a branch-like structure grew out of his head which was purple rather than normal green.

The big leaves on his sides were deep green with a feeling of sharpness. The normal pink mouth was now deep purple.

Most importantly he stood at a height of 1.7 m which was 0.7 more than an average Weepinbell.

Weepinbell slowly opened his eyes and released a cry announcing his evolution.

Charmander and Pidgeotto congratulated him while Aoki gave him a hug" Congratulations buddy "

Weepinbell hugged back Aoki with his leafy arms.

Aoki scanned the data of his newly evolved Pokemon

[Name: Weepinbell

Type : Grass / Poison

Species: flower Pokemon

Gender: male

Ability: chlorophyll ( enhances speed under sunlight )

Stage: Intermediate

Moves: vine whip, growth, wrap, sleep Powder, poison Powder, sweet scent, sunny day, protect, double team, razor leaf, acid, Giga drain, wrap, stun spore, slam, energy ball, bullet seed, solar beam, synthesis, poison jab, knock off ]

Aoki gave more food to Weepinbell to replenish his energy and start the training for the new moves that he learned after evolution.

Aoki reappeared the weights and made some changes to his calm mind techniques.

For the next 5 days, Aoki and his Pokemon trained very hard especially Charmander as he got left behind by his friends due to their evolution.

Charmander wasn't ready for evolution yet. Before evolution, Charmander needed to create harmony between fire dragon and steel-type energy before evolving as said by Aoki.

The level of difficulty of the training was more than the time when Aoki prepared them for the junior cup.

Aoki made them master all the moves they knew along with mock battles at their full strength. He made sure that their health didn't deteriorate to an alarming level and was always ready with medical supplies.

In this new wave of training, he asked Weepinbell to poison Charmander and Pidgeotto to increase their resistance to poison. The same was for the paralysis effect too.

Although Aoki seemed like a demon to them, they never complained as they could feel a rapid increase in their power levels. Especially Charmander who got a huge boost in both power and confidence.

He was no longer the timid Charmander but a fire dragon brimming with muscles and pride.

During these five days along with doing intense physical exercise, Aoki created a lot of new dishes, Pokemon food, and Pokeblocks.

Sometimes he helped out around the town as a Pokemon ranger and observed more pokemon.

He often challenged trainers to a Pokemon battle and won some extra cash from them.

Aoki also brought some oil and a brush for his Pokemon for proper grooming. The thing that improved the most was Aoki's massage techniques enough to make Misty moan when he massaged her back.

He also visited Brock multiple times to learn more about Pokemon grooming and massage techniques as he was many times better than Aoki in that.

After a satisfying stay at Pewter City, it was time to leave.

Aoki restocked his supplies and made sure to bring plenty of torches and repels. All these were to prepare for Mt.Moon. Misty did her part of the shopping and brought additional things they needed.

Aoki had asked about the behavior of Gravellars and Geodudes from Brock and found that Gravellars won't do anything to trainers and pokemon if they don't do anything first. They can even battle your Pokemon if you give them food.

They have to travel a lot before they reach Cerulean City, first, there is route 3 which is around 15 km if they walk straight but Aoki had pokemon in mind that was deep in the forest, Moon town which was 9 km from Mt.Moon.

Then the total length of Mt.Moon was around 10 km if they had to avoid all dangers and finally another 15 km to reach Cerulean City. The other route was a straight way to Cerulean City around 30km which had plenty of towns on the way.

On the journey to Cerulean City, Aoki had his eyes on two Pokemons that he absolutely had to get on his team.
