58 Festival at Maiden's peak

Maiden's peak was a small town near the coast but pretty famous around Kanto.

After reaching Maiden's peak, Aoki and Misty were surprised by the sheer amount of decoration and stalls that were being set up.

Both of them had no idea why the festival took place so they asked some of the locals.

An old couple pointed at the tallest cliff near the coast and said,

"See that statue of the women over there, some say that it was a woman who turned into stone after waiting for the return of her lover who went on a journey.

There used to be a village in this area ages ago in which the lover was very loved.

So when that person was about to start his journey, a celebration was held for him.

Since then every year a large festival takes place for 2 days in honor of the woman who kept waiting for her lover and the lover who chased his dreams. "

Misty and Aoki felt very touched after hearing that story.

"You'll not leave me, right? " Misty asked

"What are you talking about? Of course, I am not leaving you.

If I leave you, who will date my tomboy sweetheart? " said Aoki, laughing.

A tick mark appeared on her forehead,

"Was the second part necessary huh! " Misty growled at Aoki making Aoki laugh louder

Seeing this the old couple remembered their youth while a smile bloomed on their face.

After teasing Misty for a while Aoki tried searching for a hotel for them to stay in.

He found that almost all hotels were already booked making him search for an empty hotel till evening.

Finally, he found one with a small room.

They did nothing at night as they had already bought the clothes that they were supposed to wear to the festival beforehand.

The next evening the festival began with a round of fireworks.

The streets were filled with people and Pokemon enjoying themselves and dancing to the rhythm which was being played all over the festival.

Even in such a crowd two people always managed to gain the attention of the onlookers. They were Misty and Aoki who wore a yukata and a Kimono respectively.

When Aoki saw Misty in a kimono, he was stunned by how beautiful she looked while it was the same for Misty.

They walked towards different stalls holding each other's hands while Clefairy followed behind them while munching on something new.

Clefairy too gained a lot of attention, especially from children.

Some men tried hitting on Misty in spite of Aoki being there but got a death glair from Clefairy sending chills down their spine.

There were people from the police force all around who controlled the crowd and maintained safety. It was nice seeing Growliths and Arcanines in festival overcoats.

In such a festival pickpocketing was common but Aoki was not worried as Clefairy was with him.

Aoki and Misty tried different food which was not normally available in the market.

There were a lot of games like balloon shooting, memory games, ring throwing, fishing, etc. giving out prices if won.

In these games, Aoki manages to win a fancy watch while Misty won a small doll set which she liked very much.

Aoki remembered the anime episode where Gastly appeared but he was not much interested in that Pokemon.

In one part of the festival, there was a group of Jigglypuffs singing while a group of Pikachu joined and danced around them.

Fortunately, the Jigglypuffs were singing a normal melody or the entire festival would have gone to sleep.

Misty and Aoki reached the hotel by 2 am but it was not the end for them.

The moonlight entered through the window and fell on two couples were about to indulge in an act of intimacy.

Misty removed all her clothing one by one in front of Aoki…

"Are you sure you want to do this ?"Aoki asked

"I am sure.....this is the best moment possible "
