187 Aoki vs Elite four - Dragon Domain
After the one-sided slaughter of Lorelei's team, it was Bruno's turn, but Aoki wished to make an announcement before that.
"All of you have been seeing one-on-one matches for a while, so it might get boring. Let's spice things up a bit," Aoki said, piquing everyone's curiosity.
"I will take on the rest of the Elite Four together... One of my Pokémon against three of theirs at the same time. If six of my Pokémon faint, I lose, but if all eighteen Pokémon of the Elite Four lose, I win. What do you all say?"
The public immediately wanted to see what Aoki was proposing. Although changing the rules was not permitted, Aoki's status was special. He already had good connections with people like Professor Oak, Chairman Goodshow, and Alfred.
"Interesting proposal. I say we go through with it," Alfred said.
"It's not an easy task taking on the Elite Four one after another, and now Aoki is increasing the difficulty even more. Let's say Aoki wins, this sets an unrealistic standard for future trainers. I don't approve of this," one of the League executives said.
"The standards of new trainers are declining in Kanto. In these times, we need a strong role model, and Aoki is fulfilling that role. The more achievements he gets, the more encouraged new trainers become. Moreover, staying constant is not always better. We should encourage change," Alfred said.
With agreement from Agatha, Koga, and Lance, it didn't take long for Aoki's proposition to be approved. With loud cheers in the background, Elite Four members Koga, Bruno, and Agatha walked into the stadium as the water-type field changed to a grass-type field.
"Youngsters these days are too impulsive... but I like this change," Agatha smiled, sending out her first Pokémon, Frosslass.
"Show me if this confidence translates to strength, Aoki!" Bruno said, sending out his first Pokémon, Hitmonchan.
"I have heard a lot about you from Sabrina. Let's see how you measure up to what I have heard," Koga said, sending out Venusaur.
Aoki smiled and sent out Salamence. All three Pokémon of the Elite Four felt the full pressure of a peak champion-level Pokémon, which applied a strength debuff on all the Pokémon.
"Let's get started... Salamence, use the Domain of the Dragons!"
Dragon-type energy burst out of Salamence, covering the entire battlefield. The three members of the Elite Four found themselves standing on a mountain platform. The sky was full of clouds resembling hundreds of dragons, with the largest one resembling Salamence. They all felt goosebumps on their bodies. Despite Agatha being a psychic, Salamence's dragon domain affected her.
"This Pokémon managed to replicate the domain of a legendary Pokémon... unbelievable," Agatha thought, looking at the menacing Salamence flying on the opposite side of the field.
It felt like they were about to fight a legendary Pokémon.
"Frosslass, use Blizzard and Ice Veil," Agatha gave a mental command.
A huge amount of icy wind escaped Froslass's body, targeting Salamence while creating a snowstorm.
"Venusaur, use Poison Cannon," Bruno commanded.
Similar to Hydro Pump, poison shot out of Venusaur's back towards Salamence.
"Hitmonchan, Mega Ice Punch!"
Hitmonchan disappeared and appeared on top of Salamence with ice condensed in its arms.
"Salamence, Heat Blast!"

Fire-type energy burst out of Salamence, completely destroying all the attacks that were sent at it. With almost invisible speed, Salamence rotated its body and slammed
Hitmonchan to the ground with its tail.

Salamence dived down at Hitmonchan with Dragon Rush, creating a crater upon impact and rendering Hitmonchan unable to fight. Opening its mouth, Salamence blew out an ocean of flames combined with psychic power that covered the entire battlefield. Froslass's Snow Cloak ability was immediately disabled, and Venusaur's entire body was lit on fire, refusing to be put out. Two waves of Flamethrower were enough to take down Venusaur and Froslass.
Recalling their fainted Pokémon, the next wave of Pokémon consisted of Lucario, Nidoking, and Golurk. Salamence's Hyper Beam was enough to instantly eliminate Nidoking, while Lucario was blasted with multiple Fire Blasts. Golurk went down to a Hydro Cannon. Salamence was fast and ruthless. Its wings and scales tanked attacks like they were nothing, while each of its attacks dealt enormous damage.
Agatha used Mismagnius, Trevenant, Alolan Marowak, and Gengar, but Salamence's mastery over Ghost and Psychic-type energy made it ignore their permeability ability.
Koga used Crobat, Toxicroak, Arbok, and Weezing, but no matter how lethal the poison was, none of them affected Salamence.
Bruno used Pokémon like Emboar, Machamp, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop to attack Salamence with various martial arts, but none of them got past Salamence's defense.
The Elite Four used their full power and years of experience to attack Salamence, but nothing worked. Even among the champion Pokémon they had faced before, Salamence was probably the strongest they had fought.
The viewers had a blast watching Salamence defeat all eighteen Pokémon of the Elite Four effortlessly.
After the battle ended, the three elite four members found themselves back in the stadium.
Although they lost, it was undeniable that the battle fought against Aoki was a completely new experience for them.
It showed them that they still had room to grow even more.
Seeing Pokémon like Charizard, Clefable, Articuno, and Salamence under Aoki's command, it was undeniable that he was one of the strongest trainers, if not the strongest, the world currently had.
After witnessing Aoki's Salamence in action, even Oak and Lance agreed that their own Pokémon would have extreme difficulty standing against a Pokémon like that.
As the match against the rest of the Elite Four ended, people's anticipation reached its peak as it was finally time to challenge the Champion.
Aoki deemed that it was enough and decided to return to the normal battle style for the fight against the Champion. With all the Elite Four members defeated ,it was finally time for Aoki to face the Champion.
