It's been around 10 minutes since the Gym match started.

Final showdown between Misty's Slowking and Sabrina's Alakazam was about to happen.

Aoki has seen the power of Slowking as he borrowed him from Misty for research so he knew how strong Slowking was.

Alakazam had already taken damage from Gyarados so if Misty executed the commands while making minimal mistakes, the match would be won by her.

Knowing that Alakzam had finished his teleport limit Misty used her new strategy.

Since Sabrina was using telepathy, Slowking connected his mind with MIsty too.

'Use trick room'

A transparent box formed around the entire room slowing down Alakazam by a considerable amount.

'Now its the game of pure strategy '

'Slowking Shadowball barrage and teleport '

Alakazam too used Shadow ball but it didn't hit anyone while Slowking's shadow ball hit Alakazam as Slowking teleported in front of Alakazam, due to the boost from Trick room and teleport Slowking was now a lot faster than Alakazam dealing a lot of damage bringing his HP down to the bottom.

Just as Alakazam was about to use recover, Misty commanded ' Slowking use Disable '. Alakazam used Psychic to push away Slowking but Slowking responded with an equally powerful psychic attack creating an explosion.

Both the Psychic Pokemon started shoring each other with moves with Alazakam turning out to be stronger but Slowking compensated for it with his versatile water moves enhanced with Psychic.

As the water from Gyarados's Rain dance and some ice still remained, Slowking used that to his advantage too.

Sabrina was not in a tough spot, prolonging the battle would be bad as Slowking turned out to be stronger than expected.

After the announcement of the new evolution lines, she managed to get her Eevee to evolve to an Espeon but she didn't have any Slowpoke that evolved to a Slowking. She had battled a few Slowking brought by the trainers but none of them stood close to the one Misty had.

It was after a long time someone was able to make her enjoy a battle.No matter what she would do now, Slowking will have a counter to it.

Even if Alakazam's teleport cooldown ended, both pokemon were capable of teleportation and the match would go on for a long time.

As the battle went on for a few more minutes, Slowking too used up his teleportation limit.

Aoki was continuously reading both Misty and Sabrina and was predicting what would they do next, most of his predictions came out to be true and if his next prediction is correct, the match end in a few moves.

And just as Aoki expected Alakazam went for a devastating Hyperbeam which would instantly end the match if hit even after using Protect but Misty did something that was completely out of Aoki's expectation.

'Slowking use substitute'

A rock statue appeared in front of Slowking tanking the entire damage while Shadowball hit Alakazam straight in the face making him crash outside the field.

Ding!

Alakazam's icon banked out as a "Congratulations Challenger " message popped on the screen.

"Yes !!"

Misty jumped with joy as her strategy worked. She didn't care about Sabrina and enveloped Aoki in a deep kiss.

Sabrina's eyes twitched a bit seeing Misty but she didn't say anything but Aoki could sense that she was a bit embarrassed.

Aoki was very impressed by the way Misty handled the situation as Sabrina was a very tricky opponent.

Alakazam returned his Pokeball and disappeared as Sabrina approached Misty while floating with Psychic energy.

"Congratulation on completing the Saffon gym trail, I present you the Marsh badge and the T.M for Psychic. " Sabrina said as some emotion appeared in her emotionless eyes.

T.Ms were also divided into three tiers based on price and availability common, rare, and super rare.

The T.M for Psychic and Earthquake came under rare while Substitute and Dragon-type T.Ms come under super rare.

Misty had told her that her father had gifted her a T.M but he didn't expect it to be of Substitute.

Aoki had searched the entire black market and didn't even get a glace of the T.M for Substitute.

Aoki called out his 3.5 m tall Charizard to dry off the water from the gym and Misty's clothes before preparing to leave.

Sabrina didn't show any reaction even after seeing the meaning of Charizard but she found that she could not detect Charizard's rank as Charizard had completely suppressed his energy.

"Well then miss Sabrina, I will be having my match tomorrow be prepared, " said Aoki with a smirk and left with Misty.

From the moment Aoki had ented the gym, he had set a strong impression on Sabrina.

'Strange..why did he ask me to be prepared, wasn't he the challenger. If he is that confident, let's see if he is worth the attention or just talk' the wondered.

The next day Aoki and Misty gathered outside the Saffron Gym once again but this time, it was Aoki's turn to challenge the gym.

Taking out his Pokedex he gave Clefable's Pokeball the last scan.

Last night Aoki Clefable copy the move Substitute from Slowking as it would be useful later on.

Usually, a pokemon who knows mimic and copycat can forget the move after a few hours or minutes but as Clefable was now at elite rank and moreover 'His' Clefable, she was able to retain that move permanently.

"A bet? " Sabrina found that very amusing that a trainer that started a few months ago was first making such strange choices.

Seeing Misty who was hearing the conversation with interest and a smile as if she knew what the outcome was.
