619 CH92 (614), Various Perspectives/Reactions (3)

POV: Jessie/Jessica Joy

Location: Kanto, Hope Town

Date: 18th month of 2185

Mikail had left for Hoenn while she had stayed back in Hope Town. Jessie had initially planned to accompany him on his journey through Hoenn, but considering how quickly Mikail's Pokemon were progressing along with the attacks caused by his bounty, she had been worried that she would be a burden on him if she traveled with him.

In addition to her worries about holding Mikail back was the talk she had with the girls. They had shared their discontent regarding the situation and while none of them said it outright, they were not willing to let her monopolize Mikail's first year.

Considering her growing worry about becoming a burden, and not wanting to sour her relationship with the girls, she had agreed to postpone her travel plans with Mikail. The girls all thanked her for her understanding and told her that she could use the year to prepare for Mikail's next journey.

That was exactly what she had been planning to do when she shared her decision with Mikail. She was now working for him and had free access to his Pokemon reserve, and due to Mikail's instructions the guardians he left behind were willing to cooperate with/listen to her.

Jessie was planning to use their help while training her Pokemon, and she hoped to have at least Arbok as well as Blissey break through to the gold stage during this year. It would naturally be great if the others could break through as well, but those two had to do so.

Aside from raising her Pokemon's strength, she also aimed to earn an award for her/their performance(s). The success of the girls had motivated her and she too wanted something that affirmed her hard work.

POV: Ace Gold

Location: Sea, Southeast Coast of Kanto

Date: 18th month of 2185

Mikail should now have set off toward Hoenn and he was doing so on his own. Ace had to laugh whenever he remembered how surprised Mikail was when he told him and the boys that Jessie had suddenly decided that she wanted to stay back in Hope Town after all. Unlike that clueless guy, Ace had noticed the girls getting together for a private talk during each of the competitions that they had gotten together for during these last few months.

Mikail that guy was either naturally dense or purposely ignoring anything romance-related for some reason. All girls were obviously interested in him, and due to the way Mikail was acting, his relationship with all girls was developing in a way that was open to more. Honestly, this thing had some rather explosive potential, and if not for the fact that the mothers did not seem to mind the situation and actively pushed it along, Ace would have been worried about his friends.

However, as things stood, the whole situation provided him with an amusing show to watch and Ace loved his private rom-com too much to jeopardize it. Still, amusement factor aside, Ace had long decided to give Mikail a wake-up slap if he did not deal with the girl issue by the time he turned 18. As Mikail's good friend Ace saw it as his holy duty to help him realize his folly before it was too late. Nonetheless, until then he would sit back and enjoy the show.

POV: Yu Tianjin

Location: Orre, Phenac City

Date: 18th month of 2185

Yu had just returned to Phenac City yesterday and since he had agreed to meet up with his friends today at their usual hang-out spot, he along with Sarah made their way there after lunch. Ryuuto had said that he would be there as well, so Yu was resigned to being bothered about Mikail again.

He didn't fault Ryuuto for that since he knew that the poor guy was probably being pestered by Professor Crane to do so. That old man was kinda crazy if he had to say it. Ever since Mikail left a bunch of flaming, wet, overgrown, and sparkly Rattata at his private PokePark, the Professor had called him once, while his assistants had called Yu at least once every two days.

They only stopped after he lost his cool three days ago. Yu told them to stop bothering him since Mikail was leaving for Hoenn and wouldn't bother with anything else until he finished the Hoenn circuit. Well, that might not have been his exact words, but it was pretty much what his actual words amounted to, just considerably less aggressive.

It had been three days and they had not called him again, so they seemed to have gotten the message. He just hoped that the professor would not use Ryuuto to send another message since Ryuuto was working as a field trainer for Professor Krane. Whatever, Ryuuto and he were good friends, so he'd just tell him to stuff his question to the place the sun did not shine if it came down to it. Yu knew that Ryuuto would not mind that and simply laugh it off, before shrugging and saying that he had done his job.

He was not surprised when things went just as he had suspected, though Yu was a bit surprised when Ryuuto asked him to introduce him to Mikail at some point since he was curious about the guy who was able to attract the attention of so many big shots. Yu made no promises since that depended entirely on whether Mikail was interested or not.

POV: Kinji

Location: Kanto, Depth of Viridian Forest

Date: 18th month of 2185

Kinji had made his way into the depths of the Viridian Forest after leaving Mikail's home a few days ago. By now his young friend had to have left for Hoenn and Kinji did not doubt that Mikail would be able to dominate the Hoenn circuit. Mikail was growing too fast and while Kinji was a Bug King, he was sure that his friend would surpass him before long.

That was why he had headed to the central area of the Viridian Forest as soon as he left Mikail's farewell party. He planned to stay here for the foreseeable future to train his Pokemon. Just because he was certain that Mikail's Pokemon would surpass his at some point, did not mean that he was planning to make it easy.

Besides, he had his pride as well, as one of the youngest bug trainers in history to make it to the champion class, and he was not satisfied with just his Bug King title by a long shot. His next goal was to become a Bug Emperor, and the first step to that was to face the strong bug types that lived deep within the Viridian Forest.

Battling against the bug types of the forest, observing their battle style, move utilization, and even simply training before beating them was how his Pokemon reached their current strength, and it was how he was planning to raise them to the next level as well.

He would also keep an eye out for any item that could be useful to improve the strength of his Pokemon, including any mega stones that could possibly exist within the forest. According to what Mikail had shared with him some could potentially be found in the forest. As for any new potential additions to his team, Kinji was honestly not looking for any right now, but if he came across a truly interesting Pokemon he would not miss the opportunity to catch it.

Frankly, ever since he had seen those Rattata of Mikail, Kinji could not help but think about the myriad possible bug variants that could exist, and rather than what he might be able to find here, he was more interested in those. He was especially interested in the possibility of a bug/dragon-type Flygon or Yanmega, and even though Kinji doubted he would find one here, there was still a little voice that said "But what if".

POV: Yoruichi Shihonin

Location: Orange Archipelago, Unnamed Island

Date: 18th month of 2185

Yoruichi could not help but wonder whether Mikail had already set off toward Hoenn. She had been sent to this wild Island a week ago, so she had been unable to attend his farewell party, but she did visit him before she left for this Zapdos d*mned Island. That meant that she had actually been the first one to wish him all the best during his journey.

Unfortunately, that was the last time she had talked with him, or any of their friends really, since any modern communication was cut off on this island due to some d*mn magnetic interference or something. She had been assigned this mission due to her semi-specialization in the electric type, and had it not been for the fact that she missed the chance to send off Mikail, she might have complained less about the whole thing since the abundance of electric-type Pokemon on the island did interest her.

The island was one of the larger ones, and so far their exploration team had stuck to the outskirts of the place since the wild Pokemon here seemed to be quite strong. Their team had come across various stage 5 as well as 6 Pokemon while exploring the island so far, and even then they had come across 5 different electric types/tribes.

They had even seen some kind of yellow electric dragon none of them recognized fly above their heads before it landed in the center of the island, though Yoruichi could have sworn that the dragon looked more goofy than majestic, at least from the glimpse she managed to catch of its head/face. Still, goofy or not, the pressure they had felt when it flew above them was frighteningly strong and none of them had dared to move until it had passed their location, but that only made her interest in the dragon and the island stronger.

Yoruichi was pretty sure that Mikail would be interested in the island as well, though she was forbidden from sharing anything until the order/alliance gave the green light, so sharing anything with Mikail would have to wait until then.

POV: James George

Location: Kanto, Sienna City

Date: 18th month of 2185

James had once again returned to their family home. He had to inform his grandfather that he was leaving for the southern continent. Mikail had left for Hoenn a few days ago, so there was no reason for him to stick around either. Besides, he had developed a solid friendship with Mikail by now, so he had decided that it was time to resume his journey, though he had yet to share that particular decision with his gramps.

James had long shared his surname with Mikail since he felt that they wouldn't be able to build a genuine friendship without addressing the Cufant in the room first. He had obviously waited until they got to know each other better first to avoid being judged solely by his surname, but he ended up being surprised when upon sharing his "secret" with Mikail, the guy gave him a smirk and told him that he already knew that he and Layla were from the George family.

Thinking back to it, James should not have been surprised that Mikail had found out about their background since he had repeatedly proven that he was a resourceful person. Not to mention the connections he had developed over the years.

Anyway, his grandfather had been quite happy when James told him that Mikail knew about their identity as members of the George family and still continued to hang out with them. James was just hoping he would be as happy with his decision to resume his journey because he was honestly fed up with having to stick to Kanto for so long.

James did not know what Layla was planning to do. It was entirely possible that she would stick around Kanto to wait for Mikail since she seemed to be genuinely interested in him. James reckoned that she might have followed after Mikail to Hoenn if not for the joint decision of the girls to let Mikail spend his first year on his own.
