646 CH27 (641), Golden Hands

I ended up deciding to work on the Shell Bells first, so I headed to my work lab and began to lay out everything I would need for the procedure. A single Superior Shell Bell required 6 Ocean Shells, so I'd need 12 of the 13 that I currently had to make two Superior Shell Bells for my parents. I also brought out everything I required for the ink I needed to turn the shells into a healing item, along with the materials to create the Ocean Shell laminate I would need to coat the main body/Ocean Shell.

For the ink, I brought out some ground-down Starmie appendage. Staryu powder would work as well, but I decided to go with the more potent option. Some ground Corsola growth/branches were placed on the table as well. Then came Azumarill blood, Octillery blood, and ink, along with some Luvdisc blood. The Heart Scale powder was optional but I naturally added it to the table as well. Also optional was the Mystic Water, but I added it along with the watered-down Oran Berry juice that would have normally sufficed.

The laminate needed much less than that. 5 Ocean Shells that would be ground to powder and some self-made clear glue that I had in storage. Once all the instruments were ready as well, I began working on the ink since I needed it for the first step. The various powders would not only ensure that the ink was not too runny but also belonged to species that could regenerate the appendages the powder was made from, which considering what I was planning to use the ink for fit right in. The same was true for the blood and ink, or rather their sources. They were also from Pokemon that had a connection to life or possessed a strong regeneration.

I made sure that all materials were properly mixed during each step, and after close to 25 minutes of work, I had more than enough ink for the 2 Shell Bells I was planning to create. With the ink ready, I levitated the two Ocean Shells to avoid the two pinpricks the holders would have left. I took brush no 1 and dipped it into the ink container. I then began to inscribe the inside of the upper shell with the pictogram of Mew. On the outside of the shell, I wrote the words mother of life using the Unown alphabet.

Inside the lower shell, I drew the pictogram of Kyogre, while the outside gained the words lord of the sea. I repeated the process on the second shell before I began to create the laminate while the ink was drying. The process was not complicated and I had the laminate ready for coating in just 15 minutes. I made enough for 6 layers even though I was only going to do 5, but in this case, it was better to have a bit too much on hand rather than missing some.

I waited an extra 5 minutes to ensure that the ink was dry before I began to coat each shell with the laminate using brush no 3. Once the whole shell had been coated I had to wait for another 15 minutes for the coating to dry. On this layer, I inscribed the runes/symbols for energy absorption as well as retention. Once the ink was dry I put on another layer of coating before once more waiting for it to dry so that I could start the third round of inscriptions.

On the inside of the upper shell, I drew the pictogram of Manaphy, while the lower one gained a Suicune. The outside of the upper shell had the symbol/rune for recovery inscribed on it along with the word guardian, while the lower shell gained the symbol for purification and the word herald. Once the ink had dried, I put on a third layer of coating before inscribing the symbols for energy release, holder, start, and end on it once the coating had dried.

The fourth layer gained the words attract, ambient energy, refreshing, and soothing. Once the ink dried I applied the fifth and final layer which covered the ink and only left a smooth as well as unmarked surface. With this the Superior Shell Bells were complete, I only needed to wait for everything to dry and harden which would take another 20 minutes before I could "activate" it so to say by infusing it with energy to get the inscriptions working.

I used the downtime to check out the current state of my subspaces. The number of cows had grown considerably and had long surpassed our consumption. In a few more years there would be enough for me to throw a part of them into the main space so that Utopians could treat them as another freely available food source if they wanted to. The same was true for the fish in the marine section. While I had already transferred some of the bigger fish to the main space, the numbers I was considering for the next transfer were much higher, especially since there was much more water space to accommodate all those fish ever since the main space became a cuboid.

The flora space was also doing great. My storage and the amount I was growing was enough for me to feed a city on my own. Well, that or allow the inhabitants of Utopia to eat without worry and still have a rather big surplus. That was also why I was not worried about adding a Munchlax/Snorlax to Utopia since I could easily afford it. Heck, I could theoretically feed a large family of Snorlax and still feed every other Utopian as much as they wanted.

Anyway, noting that the shells had dried, I took them into my hands and began infusing them with energy/aura. I was happy to note that I felt them absorb energy from the atmosphere. Shortly after that the shells began to release a soothing aura, indicating that my efforts had been rewarded. I observed both shells and confirmed that they were B-Class Superior Shell Bells that not only had a healing effect but also helped recover stamina. They also had a soothing effect that helped with stress and weariness. All these additional effects were why they were Superior Shell Bells instead of regular ones.

Now I just had to get these valuable gifts to my parents. I felt the need to get an insured delivery service since the two Superior Shell Bells were worth more than a million Poke, so it was better to avoid them getting "lost" on the road. I honestly considered delivering the gifts in person for a moment or two, but I did not want to interrupt my time in Hoenn by traveling back and forth.

I left Utopia and called my parents to ask them where exactly they were so that I could have the Superior Shell Bells delivered to them, though I only told them that I was sending them some gifts. It turned out that they were currently in Sinopia City, and when I asked them for a delivery address they gave me the address of the hotel they were staying in. I requested them to be ready to receive the delivery within an hour or two.

They promised to head for the hotel right away and stay there for the next three hours before we hung up. I quickly searched the net for the best available express delivery service and then selected the fastest and most secure option, which cost 12k Poke. While that was rather costly for a delivery service, they guaranteed that my package would be delivered to anywhere on the northern continent within an hour and that they would reimburse 5 times the cargo's worth if it got misplaced during the delivery.

Anyway, I paid the money and a delivery guy showed up within just 5 minutes after I gave them my current location. The man accepted the package and left just as quickly. Once he was gone, I decided to head to the Grass Hall for that extra Frenzy Plant lesson I mentioned yesterday. Considering what she had said yesterday, I was hoping that Mothra/Butterfree's talent would come through today.

As soon as I made it to the Grass Hall, I went straight to the reception desk and booked a session with Master Hamir. Thankfully he was currently free so I was able to get a session right away, which was why I was heading for Hall 8 after accepting my receipt. Master Hamir greeted me warmly and I once more asked if Mothra could watch the training session. Thankfully, Master Hamir agreed once again so I called out Chibi Mothra and let her watch the lesson while she perched on my head.

Obviously, Hashirama/Venusaur was the one who went through the lesson since there was no way we would waste the chance for some extra training since I had already paid for the session, even if the main reason for that decision was Mothra. Halfway through the lesson, my phone rang and I picked up after apologizing to Master Hamir for the interruption.

It was Mom, and she told me that they had received the package. I asked them to open the package first to not ruin the surprise since I had not told them yet what I had sent them, but after they did that I told them the exact effects of the Superior Shell Bell. Mom was quite happy with the gift and Dad took hold of her phone to personally thank me for the gift as well.

I told them that they were welcome and asked them to take care before hanging up since I was in the middle of a training session. I once more apologized to Master Hamir for the interruption, but he said that it was fine before he admitted that he had ended up hearing most of the conversation. He expressed his interest in the Superior Shell Bell and asked if I still had one. He offered 1.5 million for it, but I shook my head and honestly told him that I did not have any other Shell Bells.

He seemed disappointed by that but then asked me where I got them from since he wanted to see if he could get one from the source. Unfortunately, I had to disappoint him again. I told him that it was a private business and that they worked with a list that had a backlog that would take at least a year to work through, so it was impossible for anyone else to purchase any shell bells since they had stopped accepting orders of the moment.

Thankfully Master Hamir maintained his professionalism and only said that it was a shame before focusing back on the Frenzy Plant lesson. Eventually, the second hour passed as well and I left the Grass Hall after thanking Master Hamir for the lesson. I directly found a secluded place to enter Utopia. Everyone was already waiting for us there, and they all looked at us full of curiosity, or rather they were looking at Mothra, who happily took off and laughed excitedly before declaring that she had managed to learn Frenzy Plant, confirming what I had seen on her status sheet.

She then demonstrated the move, proving once again how broken her talent was. There was quite a bit of excitement when they saw her demonstrate Frenzy Plant, and once she was done, everyone's gaze swiveled to Hashirama, but he waved them off. He first told Mothra that she was simply awesome before telling the others that not everyone could be an absolute freak of nature like Mothra, and he emphasized that he meant that in a good way. Hashirama then admitted that he would need at least a few more weeks before he properly got the move down.

That was already pretty good/fast and I assured him that there was no need to rush things since trying to rush things just because of Mothra would actually end up delaying things. Thankfully all my Pokemon knew by now that they should not try to compare themselves to Mothra since her talent made her unrivaled as far as learning moves was concerned. Besides, Mothra would now be able to assist Hashirama in learning Frenzy Plant, so it was a net win for him/us.

After that little show, I went ahead and kept my word by doing today's batch of spa sessions/massages, even if I had ended up postponing it until now. Those that were not getting pampered did their usual thing and I managed to finish today's session a bit less than two hours after dinner.
