17 CH17, Psionic Training (3)

When Mikail woke up the next day he wanted to finish the sixth step as soon as he could.

Since he had to train while distracted, he decided to call his mother right now instead of meditating for 2 hours like he usually does.

He looked at the clock in his room, he did not want to wake up his mother too early and saw that it was 8:30 a.m.

'She should be up by now, methinks.'

He called out to her and began his training.

He used the bathroom break, his breakfast, the time he stretched and played, as well as the time he played with his mother as distractions while he tried to move his psionic energy.

By the time his nap time had arrived, he was pretty sure he had succeeded in completing the sixth step.

He decided to use the rest of the day to make sure and begin the seventh step the next day.

Before going to sleep that day Mikail felt satisfied with his progress.

His tests had shown that he could now move his psionic energy anytime he wanted to.

He had managed it while playing with both of his parents and while watching TV.

All in all, he thought it was a great start to the new week.

He spent the next two days moving the psionic energy in the environment during his meditation sessions.

By the evening session of the 2nd day, he felt that he was done with this step.

He thought that he had completed the seventh step relatively fast and decided to reward himself with a free day.

The eighth step was to move the psionic energy in the environment outside of meditation.

He would begin with this at the beginning of the next month since tomorrow was the last day of this one.

He spent the next day doing no form of training whatsoever.

He simply relaxed and spent his day doing what a child his age normally does.

Just eating, playing, and sleeping but without all that screaming they normally do.

This was the first day since he awoke 45 days ago that he simply relaxed without doing any form of training.

On the first day of the new month, which was the 4th, he began doing the eight step feeling refreshed.

He managed to always move the psionic energy in the environment outside of meditation, while not being distracted, by the end of the day and hoped to finish the eighth step by the end of the week.

Which was 2 days away, since today was Dialday and the first day of the weekend was tomorrow.

After he woke up on Kyoday he did not call out to his parents right away, after seeing that it was 9 a.m, and simply did his stretching moves on his bed.

He did not want to wake up his parents in case they were still sleeping because it was the weekend.

After he finished his stretching exercises, he went over all previous psychic and aura training steps a few times, and once the clock struck 10 a.m he started shouting for his parents.

They had their breakfast and his parents decided that they were all going to the Hope Mall today.

'Another Hope something, it looks like the Hope club is growing.

I know Hope Hill is somewhere out there.'

After they were ready, they drove to Hope Mall, which was apparently near the center of Hope Town.

It took them 15 minutes to arrive there and another 15 to find a parking lot.

Mikail was excited because this was his chance to scan quite the wide range of materials.

He might not be able to take them into his space, but he would find out information on them and see their value.

The mall itself looked a little larger than he was used to.

There was an area designated for Pokemon fights on the right side of the entrance, which was something he saw for the first time.

The mall had 7 floors and every floor had stores in them.

On the first floor were a PokeCenter, a PokeMart Plus, a supermarket, a Cafe, and a sitting area.

The second floor only had a Silph Co., Devon, and 3 Pokemon League-owned stores.

The third and fourth floors had cloth and accessory stores.

The fifth floor had all kinds of home and outdoor equipment stores.

The sixth floor had entertainment venues, like a bowling hall and a movie theater.

On the seventh floor were the restaurants.

Mikail was told that they had 4 places they were planning to visit.

The supermarket.

The PokeMart Plus, which was a PokeMart just bigger and with a wider variety of products.

One of the League-owned stores, specifically the one for Pokemon materials and lastly a restaurant.

They first went to the supermarket, where Mikail managed to learn of the purchasing power of the local money.

He had heard that the money on Terra was called Poke just like in the games, but he had no idea how much 1 Poke was worth.

Now he knew.

From what he saw in the supermarket, a piece of bread or a 2-liter bottle of water cost 1 Poke.

This was roughly equal to the dollar or euro from his previous life.

His parents bought food ingredients, snacks, and drinks at the supermarket.

All purchases were put in a bag of holding, sorry I meant a Silph Co. Bag.

Surprising for him, but now that he thought about it not so surprising, was that the supermarket only had animal meat.

They also sold no berries.

Those he saw at the PokeMart Plus they went to.

He was surprised at the prices he saw but he probably shouldn't have been.

He organized the prices he saw in his mind.

A single Pokeball costs 100 Poke.

A Great Ball costs 500 Poke.

An Ultra Ball costs 2000 Poke.

'The price of a Pokeball and Great Ball is cheaper than in the games but the increase between balls is higher, which leads to an expensive Ultra Ball.'

A Potion costs 200 Poke.

A Super Potion costs 800 Poke.

A Hyper Potion costs 3000 Poke.

'Like with the Poke Ball, the price of Potions is cheaper or equal to the games depending on the game.

The increase between models is high as well leading to such high prices.

They also don't sell any Max Potions or Full Recoveries, at least I haven't seen any.

At least these work on humans as well.'

An Antidote costs 200 Poke.

A Paralyze Heal costs 200 Poke.

An Awakening costs 250 Poke.

A Burn Heal costs 350 Poke.

An Ice Heal costs 350 Poke.

A Full Heal costs 1000 Poke.

'Except for the Full Heal, the status condition healers somewhat fit the games even if Burn and Ice heal are a bit more expensive.

Full Heal is much more expensive but it seems to heal multiple afflictions so that kinda evens it out.'

A Revive cost 15.000 Poke.

'When I saw that one I was shocked.'

Here the revive does not revive your knocked-out Pokemon, and it certainly did not revive dead ones.

But it was used on Pokemon in critical conditions.

On Terra Revive seemed to seal wounds and stabilize the Pokemon till it could be treated.

It was used to prevent Pokemon from bleeding out, dying due to internal bleeding, or organ failure.

Those were the most important ready-made products he saw.

'I, naturally, used observe on what I could and I found out something interesting thanks to this.

Name: Potion

Type: None

Quality: Low

Faults: None

Uses: Contains nutrition and mixed energy.

Can be sprayed as well as ingested, and helps mildly with physical wounds and recovery. It is recommended to spray the Potion at the afflicted area for wounds.

And

Name: Super Potion

Type: None

Quality: Low

Faults: None

Uses: Contains nutrition and mixed energy.

Can be sprayed as well as ingested, and helps moderately with physical wounds and recovery. It is recommended to spray the Super Potion at the afflicted area for wounds.'

The important part is that both potions possess a quality the same quality.

This means there have to be potions of higher quality.

The conversation I had with my father confirmed that.

He explained that stronger Pokemon needed better potions.

"Daddy can heal Agni?"

That is what I asked while pointing at the potions.

My father shook his head.

"No those don't work on Agni anymore.

Potions of this quality work only for (low) Silver-stage pokemon and below.

You don't know what that is yet but let's just say these work only for Pokemon weaker than Agni."

My eyes shined when I heard his explanation.

"Agni strong."

This not only confirmed the existence of higher-quality potions but also showed that Agni was above the (low) silver-stage at least.

Back, to what I saw here.

There were also selling berries, vegetables, and Pokemon meat.

The vegetables they sold were of the energy-rich variety.

The berries available have a price range from 25 to 250 Poke per piece.

The Oran berry costing 25 Poke and the Leppa berry costing 250 pokes.

'I could not decide if that was expensive or not knowing their effects,

but what I knew was that I had a money printing machine called sub-space flora.'

Pokemon meat was sold by the kilogram (kg).

The price was divided by the Pokemon species and its stage as well.

Stageless Pidgey meat cost 80 Poke per kg.

Iron-stage Pidgey meat costs 200-400 Poke per kg.

These two were always available.

Bronze-stage Pidgey meat costs 1000-3000 Poke per kg.

This was limited by supply.

The general rule for Pokemon species that were abundant was,

Stageless ones have a 2-digit price.

Iron-stage has a 3-digit price and Bronze-stage has a 4-digit price.

The rarer species were naturally more expensive.

The same counted for limited supplies.

His parents bought some medicine, moomoo milk, moomoo cheese, and meat at the PokeMart Plus.

By the time they left the mart Mikail, who had done his training in the eight step the whole time since they left their home, was feeling happy.

He had ample distractions until now, especially in the PokeMart but towards the end, he still had managed to move the psionic energy in the environment without fail.

If he could keep that up until they returned home, he would deem the eighth step complete.

That would be 1 day earlier than he had assumed he would finish, which was a pleasant surprise.

He kept going at his training while they went to their next stop.

At the League-owned store, his father commissioned a saddle and harness made from Tauros leather that fit on Agni for Mikail.

"This way you can ride on Agni as you wanted once you're 2."

Mikail couldn't control himself and ran to his father and hugged him.

"Daddy thanks.

Love you."

His mother kept shooting photos and cooing.

Mikail finally let go after a minute while feeling doubly happy.

One, because of the saddle.

And two, because he was trying to move the psionic energy outside during that moment and still succeeded.

If that had not prevented him from doing the eighth step then nothing else he could do without putting himself in danger could.

He could say the training was complete and only unlocking his mindscape was left.

After they left the shop they went to a restaurant, his parents chose called Pidgeys Roost which you would never guess served Pidgey in all forms.

His parents ate Pidgey Burgers with fries and he had a toddler menu with small, thin Pidgey Stripes and mashed potatoes.

Leaving the restaurant they went to the sitting area to relax a bit before returning home.

Once they were home Mikail had his nap and afterward played a bit with his parent before they had dinner.

They watched another movie by Schpielbunk called Arcanine King.

You could never guess what the movie was about.

Mikail was extremely amused by this.

'Would Disney try to sue them across realities if they knew about it?

I'm not too sure.

Could be.'

Mikail was brought to his bed and slept after deciding that he was officially finished with the eighth step and hoping he could unlock his mindscape tomorrow so that he could start the next week trying to reach Tier 1.
