Announcement: Second Half March Possible/Likely Changes

This is a heads-up for all my readers. Please read it since I think it's pretty important, but if you don't care and don't want to, that's okay too, just skip the whole thing, but don't be surprised if something suddenly changes in the middle of March.

None of you have probably noticed it, but there has been a downward trend for my patreon site since October 2022. Many, if not most of you might not care, and that's okay, since everyone looks out for himself/herself first.

Still, I have posted it at the end of all chapters I am uploading, but patreon is what is motivating me to keep the story going, so seeing the numbers get worse each month for the last four-plus months has been a bit demoralizing. So, as result I have decided to keep observing the situation for the first two weeks of March, and if I see that the trend continues, I will make a change to the current chapter release both on patreon as well webnovel, with the goal to make patreon more attractive.

Some might call it a money grubbing move, but they can say whatever they want. They can keep reading the stuff I'm writing for free, but I have to justify the amount of time I am investing into the story to myself and my family somehow. In the end, I am just a human as well, and I have to look out for my interest/well-being too.

Anyway, as I said the change is to make becoming a patron more attractive, so for patrons the change is mostly/nearly entirely positive, aside from the next part, but even that can be compensated of there are enough patrons to complete the goals.

Let's get the bad news out of the way first. If the change happens, and it most likely will, the weekly chapter release rate will be reduced to 4. Chapters will then be released on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday joining he weekend as a break day.

The positive change for patreon is that the number of advanced chapters for all patrons will increase, while the previous requirements remain the same. This means, that the goal "price" of, we need to reach so much money to fulfill goal x, won't increase, but the rewards of reaching the goal will.

I am planning to simply shift each "goal" down by one, so the current chapter increases of goal 1 will become the new basic chapter number available to patrons. Furthermore, I am going to turn the bonus chapter rewards for goals 2 and 3 into repeatable ones, so in each month that goal 2 or goal 3 are met, I will release 2 bonus chapters.

That means each month can have up to 4 bonus chapters, which would practically negate the reduction of the weekly release from 5 to 4 that will happen. I can also say that I will keep an eye on the goals that are being met, and I promise that I will upgrade the weekly chapter release number back to 5, the moment goal 2 has been met 4 consecutive times, while keeping the other (positive) changes.

Anyway, here is how the new advanced chapter model will look like.

New Basic Chapter Availability:

3€/Rookie-Class: 2 ch. -> 4 chapters

5€/Junior-Class: 3 ch. -> 5 chapters

10€/Senior-Class: 5 ch. -> 7 chapters

15€/Expert-Class: 8 chapters

So, once Goal 1 is achieved, which will most likely automatically be the case for March, the chapters available to you will be like this, if you are a patron, or become one.

Goal 1 achieved:

3€/Rookie-Class: 4 ch. -> 6 chapters

5€/Junior-Class: 5 ch. -> 7 chapters

10€/Senior-Class: 7 ch. -> 9 chapters

15€/Expert-Class: 9 ch. -> 10 chapters

The new Goal 2 will be like this:

Goal 2 achieved:

3€/Rookie-Class: 6 ch. -> 8 chapters

5€/Junior-Class: 7 ch. -> 9 chapters

10€/Senior-Class: 9 ch. -> 11 chapters

15€/Expert-Class: 11 ch. -> 12 chapters

The new Goal 3 will be like this:

Goal 3 achieved:

3€/Rookie-Class: 8 ch. -> 10 chapters

5€/Junior-Class: 10 ch. -> 11 chapters

10€/Senior-Class: 11 ch. -> 13 chapters

15€/Expert-Class: 13 ch. -> 14 chapters

I don't know how many have paid attention to it, but after these changes, if goal 2 is met, a 3€/Rookie-Class patron will have access to as many chapters as a 15€/Expert-Class patron currently has and had for the last few months, while an Expert Class patron will have access to 50% more advanced chapters without having to pay more.
