Saffron Gym Challenge

Alex was excited, after making research on the gyms- He had learned that Saffron city had a fighting type gym, he was surprised that one of his favorite Waifus wasn't there! But he quickly learned that Sabrina had won the Indigo league two years ago and tried against the Elite 4.

She had been able to beat Lorelei and Bruno but she was backed into a corner by Agatha, and now she was trying for the position of Saffron city gym leader- Considering that she had won a league and taken down two members of the Elite Four, Alex was sure she would be able to beat Chuck rather easily but he had a different story in this world… He was the man that trained Bruno.

[Author's Note: We'll be switching to Saffron city for the official battle~ Sabrina is going to be a romantic interest in this novel so this is important~]

[Saffron City]

Sabrina sat in the waiting room, clutching Alakazam's Pokeball tightly. Her beautiful blackish-purple hair made her look very beautiful and it reached down to her shoulders, she opened her eyes and their azure figures were glowing.

"I will win," Sabrina muttered and the door of the waiting room opened revealing a middle aged man who wore a Karate GI.

"It's time for your battle," He said, "Come and get beaten by our Dojo master,"

Sabrina gave an eerie smile and then psychic aura flooded her body as she slowly rose into the air, under the astounded eyes of the Middle aged man. Sabrina landed next to him and the aura vanished.

"Let's go," She said quietly and the man nodded, he was already aware of the immense power and potential that Psychics held but he couldn't help but gape in awe, this was the first time he was seeing a real Psychic in front of him.

As they stepped out the door, the crowd went wild and the newscasters cheered as well.

The Referee stood in the center of the arena, raising two white flags into the air.

"Former Indigo League Champion, Sabrina Moon will face off against Saffron city Gym leader, Chuck!"

The crowd erupted into cheers and Sabrina floated into the air, her figure shrouded into ethereal light as she levitated toward the Challenger's podium.

Chuck gave a small chuckle as he tightened his black belt, He was very confident in defeating Sabrina.

He started walking toward the Leader's podium and once he got there, he raised his right hand into the air and the gym turned silent.

"Today, I shall beat the former Indigo League Champion, Sabrina Moon!" Chuck exclaimed.

The cheers were invigorated again in Chuck's favour but Sabrina didn't care if the audience was in her favour, she was determined that she was going to win.

"Send out your first Pokemon!" The Referee called out.

Chuck unclipped a Pokeball from his waistband and Sabrina did the same.

"Go, Primeape!"

"..."

The arena was covered in a blinding light as both Pokemon were released into the battlefield.

Primeape stood proudly on the battlefield, letting out a primal cry that threatened to shake the battlefield. It was clear that this Pokemon was strong.

A screen which hung at the ceiling of the gym lit up and showed Primeape as well as it's level.

'Level 43, huh?' Sabrina thought to herself.

On the Challenger's side of the battlefield, Sabrina's Haunter was revealed to the world.

The screen still lit up as Haunter was shown as well as it's level.

'Level 40,' Chuck thought.

"Start off with Foresight!" Chuck called out, eager to begin and win the battle.

Sabrina made a slight frown but her gaze was unwavering.

'Shadow Sneak,'

A crimson glow surrounded Haunter, showing that Foresight had been used but Haunter submerged into the ground the next moment.

"Primeape, Earthquake!" Chuck ordered while smashing his foot into the ground.

Primeape's eyes flashed in murderous rage as it pounded it's fist into the ground, shockwaves went across the ground and web-like cracks appeared.

Chuck smiled and concluded that Haunter wouldn't be able to escape the Earthquake attack but to his surprise, he felt a ghostly chill.

"Impossible..." He muttered under his breath as Haunter emerged from the ground unharmed, a chilling blizzard spreading across the battlefield.

Primeape was frozen solid under the intense force of the Blizzard.

'Haunter, Shadow Ball,'

Under the surprised gazes of the audience, Haunter created a huge Shadow ball, pouring ghostly energy into it's attack.

"Primeape... Break through!" Chuck gave a single command and cracks appeared on the ice surrounding Primeape.

It looked as if there was no way for Primeape to break through the ice but under the astounded gaze of Sabrina, the ice shattered.

Primeape took a step back on the frigid ground and it's right fist lit up in billowing crimson flames, the heat radiating from them strong enough to make the ice under Primeape's feet melt.

The Shadow Ball echoed as it came closer to Primeape but the primate Pokemon was not afraid, instead a smirk tugged at it's lips as it's aura was applied to the flames, the size of the flames increased even more and Primeape found it the perfect time to move.

Primeape bent it's knees over and channelled power into them, the ice in the surrounding cracking open with intense force and then Primeape moved, shooting into the air like a missile with it's right fist engulfed in hot flames.

The clash of attacks sent shockwaves through the battlefield but both attacks remained kindled by the will of both Pokemon.

An explosion occured mid air due to the power of these attacks and Primeape was sent flying toward the ground.

Sabrina gave a victorious grin as she gave Haunter a telepathic command.

'Use Psyshock,'

Orbs of psionic energy surrounded Haunter's ghostly form and with a single thought, each of them were propelled toward Primeape with the force of a bullet.

But the Primate Pokemon couldn't help but give a small smile.
