19 The Start of a Legend (19)

"You can't be serious right now." I groan out as I hear my mum explain what just happened.

"It wasn't my fault sweetie, you wanted to buy her a necklace in the first place." My mother says with an obnoxiously wide smile on her face. Apparently giving someone a necklace is "courting" them in this world.

There are only two courtings that I know of, and they are courting death and the courting where your involved with someone romantically.

I don't know where the common knowledge bullshit I'm suppose to know this from is at, but I was never told. Pretty sure Dawn didn't either but is being told what is happening right now. I wouldn't be surprised if she squealing like a little girl right now in her living room. I wouldn't blame her though, I kinda just "asked her out" or something like that.

Maybe she was in on the plan?

'Her face must be priceless right now.' I said myself with a smile.

—POV Dawn—

"Ahhhh!" I scream out. My mum just told me that giving a necklace to someone was to court them romantically. Never was I told how this was a thing but now I know.

Running to my room and jumping on top of my bed, I start to hug my pillow. My thinking was starting to get a little fast as I crushed my pillow in a vice grip.

"Does he like me? I mean I like him, but does he know what it even mean? I even hugged him and everything wahhh! But he isnt the type to do this, am I overthinking this? I already accepted his gift.." I squeal out rubbing my face on my pillow. I can't believe this.

I started to freak out more and more till my consciousness drifted off to sleep postponing my thinking for tomorrow.

—POV Aichi—

Things between me and Dawn were a little awkward for a few weeks but after a while we started to talk to each other again.

We never talked about the situation again but she still wore the necklace everyday. I'm pretty sure now that she didn't know about the necklace thing prior because of this.

Today I had to scare off some kid called Kenny because he was getting a little too close to Dawn. Like she can have friends that are boys, but I can tell when a guy has an "interest".

Kenny was calling her DeeDee or something like that. He was a character used mainly to improve Dawn's character development in the anime so there wasn't much to unpack there.

I just realised how popular this coordinator thing was. As expected though when I searched up the topic, Wallace was currently the most popular coordinator right now with his beautiful and strong Milotic.

Right after I came back from school I was finally able to make my app and put it on my dads new smartphone. This will make it so the app will be on every smartphone a consumer buys.

Thankfully I was able to install the app PokeBook as a default app, so everyone that buys the phone will have it already.

Not only does it make it practically the best app for communication already as it only needs a signal. It's already pre installed and the only app of its kind, no one should make an app similar in the coming few years at least as making apps of your own doesn't exist.

So this will become the norm for people and make it so they never end up switching apps. I might make some video games though to make some extra cash influx if I really got more time.

I literally don't need to worry about money anymore and just need to manage the app correctly with the help of my parents and just like that Ill be rich.

I already am but like who would refuse more money right?

When I go on my journey I can just focus on my Pokemon and becoming the strongest trainer in the world.

I need to remember to visit some auction houses though as they sell off some great Pokemon.

Are they illegally selling slaved Pokemon?

Yes.

But that's not my problem, as long as the Pokemon is rare and can be trained up then that's all good to me. It's not like I'm gonna mistreat the thing.

"Aichi, the training equipment you ordered has arrived!" I hear my mother call out from down stairs.

"I'll be right there mum." I respond while making my way down. This time I've ordered a machine that fires rubber balls which I can aim with.

Basically I'm gonna be shooting rubber balls at my Pokemon at different speeds while they try to dodge. They have stamina shields so they shouldn't get hurt but it will sting for them.

It took me a few hours to get all the equipment to the backyard where their is a whole shed dedicated to my Pokemon training now, and set the thing up.

"This will be fun." I say with a wide grin. It's like playing a shooter from back on earth.

Taking my Pokeball from my spatial ring, I pull out Slowbro's Pokeball and release him.

*Ztzszszsz*

"Slowbro~" The lazy pink Pokemon yawns out.

-Aegislash, just watch and learn. For every 10 hits from a tennis ball, is a day without his favourite food- I tell my partner who was currently still in my shadow.

Slowbro who I just notified on what he needed to do was currently clueless on what was happening right now.

-Master why!- Slowbro says pitifully as he dodges a rubber ball and soon after tripping over.

*Thump*

-(Four Year Time Skip)-

"Aichi, it's finally time for you to go on your journey!" My mum says in a melancholic voice.

"He'll be fine honey, he's got Slowbro after all!" My dad chirps in while feeding Slowbro a treat.

*Crunch*

Slowbro taking a bite out of his favourite treat, starts to squirm around in happiness. Looking at my parents I start to smile.

"I'll be fine, I should go get Dawn now." I tell them as I say my goodbyes and make my way outside of the house.
