32 On The Way To Jubilife (32)

Back tracking through the forest with Turtwigs help, I soon spotted Clara's house (The old lady's house). It's deck seems to be a little wet with the chairs all fallen down and messy.

'At least they're gone now.' I think to myself as I sense Team Rocket blasting off again. After this I head toward the river with both my new Pokemon walking beside me.

They were just playing around with each other and bonding. My Pokemon need to bond with each other as it makes the training better and more competitive. It's like sibling rivalry, you don't want to lose and try your best.

"Alright!" Ash shouts. Looking over Ash I spot a Budew in his hands. It seems to me that he found a replacement for Turtwig pretty fast. He will probably catch it soon. I can't feel any bonds between Ash and the Budew so he probably saved it from Team Rocket.

"Hey guys!" I shout. Clara and the gang hearing my voice, turn around to see my Chimchar and newly caught Turtwig conversing with each other.

"That's so cool, is that a Turtwig!" Both Dawn and Ash shout as my Turtwig looks at Pikachu. Seeing this I smile and push Turtwig a bit forward to introduce himself. Turtwig recognises Pikachu and the latter does as well.

Ash taking out his Pokedex, scans Turtwig while we all went back to Clara's house so we could say our goodbyes. Before this though we helped her clean up the house.

"Please take care of Turtwig for me Aichi. I've known him for a while now and he's been helping around these parts for who knows how long." She tells me. Hearing her genuine concern, I reassure her as I feed Turtwig some more high quality food to keep him satisfied.

As long as Turtwig is fed, he will always be happy. I do need to train his power and bulk though, something to think about later on.

"So Ash you gonna catch the Budew?" I ask him. Ash letting the little guy down from his grasp, nods and asks Budew if it wanted to come with him on his journey.

"Budew!" The little guy shouts fiercely. I don't know how he shouted so fiercely but I'm not gonna question it. The battle between Ash and Budew was similar to what happened to Turtwig. Just like with Turtwig in the anime, Budew gets caught after getting hit by an [Iron Tail].

"Go Pokeball!" Ash shouts. Throwing the Pokeball, Ash watches as the Budew gets sucked into it.

Ding!

"Yeah!" Ash now with a Budew on hand, has already changed his team for the better. Because in my opinion, a heavy and slow Pokemon doesn't fit this fast and aggressive style.

-Slowbro, go takeout Team Rocket for me- I tell my Pokemon. We are in the part of the forest we should be encountering them. So I got Slowbro to send them away for a later time.

I'm basically acting as Ash's golden halo for the amount of time I'm with them. "With them" is literal as I'm never with them when Team Rocket steals Pikachu as I'm either sleeping or back at camp.

-With pleasure- Slowbro says in our link. With Slowbro leaving the party, the others gave me some questioning looks.

"He's gonna find some berries to eat, then he will teleport back." I tell them. While this was happening, Piplup was chasing Chimchar because he teased it a little too much. They were always rivals back in the lab and it didn't change much now.

Piplup tried bumping into Chimchar which ended up hitting Aipom. This in turn started a fight between the two while Chimchar was caught in the crossfire.

"Hey cut it out!" Ash shouts. Looking to my side, I could see Aipom, Piplup and Chimchar in a little scuffle. While Aipom were full on hitting each other, Chimchar was kind of just dodging as I'd already taught him to be better than that.

"Tell Budew to stop them." I tell Ash. Ash hearing this tells Budew to use [Razor Leaf]. Piplup and Aipom getting hit, stop fighting while my Chimchar went back to my side.

Dawn voiced her complaints but realised her Piplup was getting a little out of line. So she decided to lecture the poor guy and discipline him more on the walk.

With the scuffle now finished we kept on walking.

We walked for a few hours in peace until we got stopped by a familiar trainer.

"Boy Paul, you sure like showing out of no where." Ash says to the now identified Paul.

"I'm just out here doing a little training, it's to get ready for my Oreburgh gym battle." Paul retorts as Ash tells him that he's also doing the same. But with them hating each other a lot for some reason, Paul proceeds to call Ash's Budew trash. Ash not taking any of this lightly challenges Paul.

Looking at this I sigh, Paul has already baited Ash into using a grass type. I guess Paul ain't taking the piss with me anymore and just wants to forget about our battle.

What a lad. I mean if he doesn't mess with me then I don't mind. I kind of took the piss at first but it was understandable. He acts pretty insufferable at times and at the lab he was being a dick for no reason towards Ash.

His reason was because Ash caught a Starly without [Aerial Ace]. So he believes Ash should release the Pokemon and tries to force his ideals on Ash.

The both of them proceeded to battle without interruption from Team Rocket. The end results were pretty easy to guess knowing that a Chimchar was battling a Budew.

"Damnit." Ash grumbles out. Picking up the tired Budew, Ash gives it a potion and keeps it in his arms. With this happening Paul magically disappears and with this we all kept going on our journey.

We ended up avoiding a whole lot of problems this instance with Slowbro taking care of Team Rocket. We didn't need to encounter any Beedrills or Stantlers.

"I'll stay back." I tell the rest of the crew. We were currently having a small picnic and we're just having a good time eating. I'm taking this time to train both Chimchar and Turtwig and get ahead of Ash and Paul.

I would say I already am but extra training is always welcomed. While the other three followed Piplup with their own Pokemon with them, I got Chimchar to train his dodging and speed.

I also taught Chimchar how to land and stuff for the Jubilife contest as that will be "important". I've already shown him what he will do on stage anyways.

Turtwig trained his physical attacks as he was constantly attacking either a tree or Chimchar to improve his power. At times though I did improve on his defence by making Chimchar punch him.

This may seem painful and it is for them but in the end it's for the grind. As long as they get stronger then it's all worth it, of course I helped them with training and nit picking their mistakes.

I didn't pressure them too much and fed them heaps of food. So in the end if they work hard they get loads of yummy food, not a bad trade to be honest.

"Chimchar! Turtwig! Take a rest for now." I call out. It's been quite a bit now and I've just sensed the rest of the gang coming back after what seems like a shit show.

I guess it was Team Rocket, blasting off again.
