3 I Choose You! (3)

'What would the best option be here?'

I ask myself.

I should probably see this from a realistic perspective rather than the anime. I'm in the world of elemental monsters as a human with an advantage.

I could very well get killed or be hunted by a group as I'm sure none of those villain organisations got to their places by using their luck.

They may have a good backing but they know what they're doing and could potentially hurt me and my family if I'm not an orphan.

I'm not going to be acting like a retard because if I see a fucking Reshiram my first thought isn't to catch it but to run the fuck away aight. I'm not Ash Ketchup and try to befriend the thing.

"If I could get a fully evolved Pokemon off the bat then I wouldn't need to worry about any initial problems. But then the Pokemon wouldn't be trained the way I would want him to."

I say contemplating a few things. There are so many factors that play into this, and I've got a lot of time to think so it's fine.

"Can I choose fully evolved Pokemon?"

I ask the old man.

"It has to be its first form."

Damn that's a bit unlucky but it's still a free Pokemon I will get so I can't complain.

Because I'm a psychic I will add the psychic type as something that I could potentially choose from. I will also include steel, dragon and ghost.

These types have the strongest and more rare types of Pokemon in their selection.

All of the fairy Pokemon are quite common or underwhelming besides Gardevoir so I wont include those Pokemon.

The first few Pokemon that I can name that I could potentially pick include:

[Axew (Dragon)]

[Honedge(Steel/Ghost)]

[Ralts > Gardevoir (Fairy/Psychic)]

[Abra (Psychic)]

[Riolu (Fighting)]

These are a great selection of Pokemon that are the best possible solutions for me.

Axew a great Pokemon that can turn into a strong Pokemon in its final evolution, I feel like it wouldn't be worth training as it would be difficult for me to teach a dragon without any prior experience.

Honedge a steel/ghost type, its final evolution has two stances when it fully evolves where it can shield itself and attack. It's a ghost so it could probably hide under my shadow.

A good choice.

Ralts an amazing choice as it evolves into a Gardevoir. A Pokemon with great intellect and move set with being fairy there isn't much it can't do. But I feel like it's something I could catch later on.

Abra a very plain choice that can do no wrongs. It probably has most iq in the world and could help me in multiple ways. This Pokemon is most likely the best option if it listens to me which it should.

Riolu a useful fighting type that in my opinion has the best potential to grow stong in a short amount of time. It would be a lie if I said I didn't want a Riolu but the other picks are in their own ways better. A good Pokemon to get in the future though.

"Abra seems like the best choice here if I'm being honest with myself."

It's learning curve is pretty bad in the games but that wouldn't matter as this is realife. Spamming psychic would win me 80% of my matches anyways.

My second best option Honedge is pretty much the perfect Pokemon to "protect" me though.

"I have a question."

I ask out loud making the old man's ears perk up.

"If someone goes into my mind will they find out that I'm a reincarnator?"

I asked with a serious expression.

"They will not boy, I can see what you're thinking and it's a pretty risky idea."

Frowning at his comment I make up my mind.

I'll be able to hide Honedge but not Abra in public, I could maybe get an Abra later on if I find another psychic person to leech off like Sabrina.

"If I work as a gym trainer for her will she give me an Abra?"

The only instances I've seen of Honedge line are already caught ones so I'm sure they are extremely rare Pokemon. Having a Aegislash is basically claiming myself with talent of a king so this could be used in many ways.

It has the typing steel instantly making it a very valuable Pokemon and with it being a ghost and can hide me in the shadows makes it instantly a good pick.

And with my telepathic ability to talk to Pokemon in their minds I can make my Honedge who eventually becomes a Aegislash seamlessly switch between his attack and shield forms.

This is a risk that I'm willing to take but don't think will work out.

I wont be able to train Abra at all because of its learning curve and even if I made a few training guides myself it would take more trial and error than a Honedge.

While Abra is still in a very vulnerable state, Honedge off the bat can be used to battle wild Pokemon and through short trial and error find a way to train him.

This is a pretty bias pick but I honestly think that Honedge would be better as it has two exceptional typings. It has 4 weaknesses and 2 neutral types with the rest being either immune or resistant to.

The problem with training my psychic powers with an Abra is that we would both be new to the power and would be learning together which is two times faster than normal but wouldn't be ideal because it would be like a person naturally born with eyes in the back of their heads trying to teach a normal person to walk backwards without being able to see.

Abra would instantly learn moves naturally, while I would be blindly going into the power without any knowledge besides my Abra who can naturally use his moves while I cant.

It would be better to get an actual person to teach me.

"It's Honedge then?"

Hearing the old man comepletely read me like a book I smile.

"Can you make it a shiny please."

I quickly ask before he sends me to my new life. The old man hearing me proceeds to chuckle out loud at my request.

"Sure boy. You will encounter a Honedge that you will instantly bond with outside your backyard a day after your fifth birthday."

Before I could respond though my vision starts to blur.

"Thank y-"

(Somewhere in Twinleaf Town)

"Just a little longer Shizuka."

A grown man could be heard softly telling his wife. The wife, Shizuka, was currently giving birth to a child and was currently in pain.

Giving birth don't seem too fun.

[A/N: Did you guys think the decision was pretty reasonable? Even thought Honedge isn't a psychic type you can't disregard his compatibility with telepathic talking mid battle, Aegislash who could seamlessly switch between his stances would be chaotic for the opponent]
