17 Battling Janine (17)
"Use [Withdraw] defend yourself." I command Slowbro. Slowbro turning around, moves his tail to the front and blocks most of the incoming attack with Shellder.
*Ting ting ting*
Multiple enhanced leafed bounced off Shellders hard shell leaving Slowbro with a lot of space to work with.
'If Slowbro teleported instead of blocking, then those leafs would've hit me.' I thought to myself with a cold sweat going down my face.
"Use [Calm mind]." I commanded Slowbro.
Slowbro taking his time to use [Calm Mind], closes his eyes and encloses itself in a hue of psychic energy.
"Bayleef use [Magical Leaf]!" Janine calls out not letting us catch break. Leafs with a bright green and small red glow started to pop out of the ground next to Bayleef and started to head towards Slowbro like homing rockets.
"Use [Disable]." I quickly tell Slowbro.
Slowbro finishing off his [Calm Mind], snaps out of his trance and uses [Disable] on the [Magical Leaf] making them lose their bright glow and make the ineffective.
"Quickly use [Psychic]." I call out.
*Slam!*
Slowbro taking control of Bayleef with his psychic abilities, slams Bayleef down a few times before losing control.
*Slam!*
-I couldn't hold it for much longer Master- Slowbro says a little exhausted.
'It seems that I'll need to train his psychic abilities more.' I thought to myself.
-You'll be fine, just keep your distance and everything should be okay- I console the tired Slowbro. Using attacks like [Psychic] takes up more energy than you think. So some Pokemon after a move even if they have energy have to take a pause.
This doesn't apply if a Pokemon trains the move more though and is able to constantly use different moves directly after.
"Bayleef get up, you can do it!" Janine encourages her Pokemon. Not wanting to give her any extra time, I tell Slowbro to attack.
"Slowbro use [Ice Beam]." I call out. Slowbro concentrating if energy to its mouth starts to prepare its attack.
Janine seeing this realises Bayleef needs to dodge.
"Use [Vine Whip] to dodge it!" She shouts in desperation.
Bayleef now in a troubling situation, powers through and uses [Vine Whip] to dodge the incoming [Ice Beam] Slowbro just made.
"Great Bayleef! Now use [Poison Powder] and [Razor Leaf]!" Janine calls out.
Bayleef in a quick manner spreads out a [Poison Powder] spread on the ground while it starts to use [Razor Leaf], the leaves popping out of the ground, it looks to be covered with poison.
Bayleef pulling the combo off sends a massive poison leaf barrage at Slowbro.
"Protect!" I shout in distress. Seeing a large barrage of leaves with a tint of purple heading my way, I tell Aegislash to protect me.
-Use [King's Shield] incase it doesn't block everything-
'There's nothing to protect my own body woman!' I scream inwardly seeing the massive attack combo. Slowbro not moving from its place makes a barrier than coincidentally is directly in front of me.
-Use [Teleport] to get behind Bayleef and then use [Ice Beam]- I say in our link wanting to finish off the match.
-Okay master- Slowbro responds to my commands. After the [Razor Leaf] finally subsided, Slowbro teleports a few metres behind Bayleef and uses a point blank [Ice Beam].
"Bayleef use [Protect]!" Janine calls out seeings her Pokemon's horrible situation.
Bayleef tries to use [Protect] but is too late as her left side gets hit with an [Ice Beam] severely damaging its stamina shields.
"Bayleef, use [Giga Drain]." Janine says now in a losing situation.
-Use [Teleport] to get behind Bayleef and use [Headbutt] to finish it off- I tell Slowbro in our link
Bayleef now a little sluggish from the [Ice Beam] desperately uses [Giga Drain] but it ended up missing as Slowbro disappears.
*Boom*
Slowbro behind Bayleef uses a [Headbutt], sending Bayleef a few meters away.
*Thud*
Bayleef landing on its side, stops moving and starts to get swirls in its eyes.
"Bayleef!" Janine cries out running towards her Pokemon. Walking up to her after retrieving Slowbro, I pull out a potion and give it to her.
"She might need this." I tell her as she quickly nods and uses the Potion on the wound where the [Ice Beam] hit Bayleef.
"That's was quite the flawless match I just witnessed." I heard a voice I recognised to be Koga say.
"Father." Janine says in a pitiful voice.
"It was a clean battle by Aichi over here, he played his cards right and used the right moves when he needed to." Koga said with a cheerful voice.
I'm guessing he wants to remove his daughters arrogance or something like that. She was pretty cocky and for a good reason.
A move combo that took the same amount of time as a normal move, now that's impressive.
"That was amazing son." I hear my dad add right after congratulating me on my win. With my mother doing the same right after.
After basking in my parents praises I went back to the father and daughter duo who were talking to each other.
"You didn't do too bad that battle." I say with a wide grin making Janine get an irritated look. Even then she accepted my hand shake, not before telling me she would battle me again and beat me though.
"I'll see you at the Sinnoh league then." She says with a cheeky grin. Hearing this I get a surprised look. "You should see your face right now." Janine said while giggling.
"I've decided to send her on her own journey and she's decided to go to the same league as you." Koga says in delight at his daughter taking training seriously now. Regaining myself I start to smile that I've gotten more competition now.
"You better get stronger as at your level, even a Pikachu could beat your whole team." I said taunting her.
'With plot armour, anything is possible.' I thought to myself.
