7 Backyard (7)

The day has finally come!

It's the day where I get my first Pokemon handed to me on a silver platter.

You don't know how much I've been anticipating this Honedge for now, I have everything prepared like the Luxury ball on hand and a bowl of food outside.

"Mum I'm going to the backyard!"

I shout as I start to put my clothes on as I just took a shower.

"Okay sweetie, just be careful on the swings!

I hear my mum call back. Putting on my brown scarf Dawn and Johanna gave me for my birthday, I make my way outside of the house.

'Shiny Honedge!'

I giddily think to myself as I make my way out of my room. Running towards the back with my Luxury ball on hands I make my way outside.

"Now where would he be exactly."

I say to myself. It's been five years since I've talked to the God and I'm honestly not sure if he specified where the Honedge would be.

'He never specified when did he.'

Sigh-

'Well it's time to search the whole backyard. It will be worth it in the end.'

I say inwardly trying to pump myself up. There aren't many places Honedge could be besides the garden or the swings.

So getting a hop to it I first make my way to the garden as the swings are currently the farthest from me.

Taking a deep breathe, I take in my surroundings as I hear the leaves rustle on the trees.

The garden looked exotic as it contained many different plants like roses, lilies, daises and sunflowers. The colours of the flowers enhanced the overall feel to the place while giving a nice aroma giving a peaceful vibe to the place.

'He must be chilling here somewhere.'

I groan inwardly.

It's been a couple of minutes since I've started my search, I'm not actually sure if Honedge is here yet but searching now is better than sitting in my room bored.

I'll see this as a prop hunt.

After a while an hour has passed while searching, I obviously took some breaks as I'm not crazy but it was quite fun roaming the back.

Walking through one of the back corners of the garden I hear a noise.

Clank clank-

A clanking noise could be heard past a bush in on of the flower patches.

'What is that.'

I think to myself white looking at a thin piece of red and blue silk. Getting a better angle I start to get a better image of the silk.

With a better look I spot sheathed sword with a bright silver handle laying on the floor making movements every few seconds.

Clank clank-

'There he is!'

I say to myself in excitement. Gripping the luxury ball in my hand I slowly walk up to the silk part of the Honedge and tap it with my Luxury ball.

Ztszszszsz-

The Luxury ball touching the Honedge, opens up and covers the Honedge with a red beam practically consuming it.

1…

2…

3…

Ding!

"Yes!"

I celebrate loudly hearing the final ding. Soon after capturing the Honedge I immediately sent him out.

Ztszszsz-

"Hone?"

It says tilting itself making it seem like it's confused.

-Hello-

I tell him through the mind link I've established. Over these years I've found a way with my powers on how to talk to Pokemon.

I've just have to imagine a psychic rope from one head to another and in this case it was the Honedge's handle. I have made many other techniques but those are thoughts for later.

-Are you my master?-

Honedge answers back with a rough robotic voice. Before I could reply though I hear the loud voice of my mother calling out from the entrance to the back of the backyard.

"Aichi I've called you to come back young man! It has been 10 minutes."

Hearing her I quickly reply not wanting to get in trouble.

"I'm coming!"

I shout. Not forgetting about the shiny Honedge infront of me I look back at him.

-I am. My name is Aichi it's nice to meet you, but we can talk more later! For now sleep-

I quickly answered my Honedge before sending him back into the Luxury ball.

Ztszszszsz-

After retrieving Honedge I started to run back to the house. This took me almost a minute before I got back to the house.

Entering through the back, I get greeted to the sight of my mother with an apron cooking some food.

"Mum, mum! I caught a Pokemon."

I say excitedly. She had a surprised expression seeing that I was holding the Luxury ball dad gave me to yesterday.

"Sweetie I think you should release that Wurmple or Starlie you got, that Pokeball could house a better Pokemon. Your dad will be devastated."

She says covering her mouth with a hand trying to mask her giggles. While this happened she released Yuki the Eevee out.

"But it not Starlie or Wurmple."

I say feigning innocence. With the Luxury ball in my pocket I proceed to tap the white button to release Honedge.

"Then wha-"

Before she could respond a red beam gets in between us while materialising a Honedge.

"Hone!"

The Pokemon cheers out with glee. Mother seeing this starts to get an even more confused look.

"He a sword!"

I say while imitating a sword swing. My mother seeing my swing suddenly teleports a camera to her hand and takes a few photos.

'How the fu-'

"He doesn't seem to be aggressive in any type of way so it should be fine, though I dont know what Pokemon it is sweetie."

She tells me with a warm smile. After this she spent the rest of the day cuddling with me while saying how proud she was. Never got anytime to check up with Honedge, he kinda just stayed in the Luxury ball.

When dad came back he was pretty shocked but didn't seem to mind knowing it wasn't a "common" Pokemon.

'I'll need to have a proper conversation with Honedge later, also I never fed Honedge the Pokemon food. Does he even eat food?'

I thought to myself wondering if he ate. Well anyways it's gonna be thoughts for the future me, no need to wrap my head around it yet.
