Out came a beautiful...uh...Kangaskhan? A purple Kangaskhan? Oh no! The Kangaskhan is sick!

Jax immediately ran to his mother, "MOMMY! I think the baby Kangaskhan is sick! It's purple!"

"Purple? Hold on, let me see." ran Doria after Jax to check on the newly born pokemon.

"Let me take a look at the baby Kangaskhan Jax! It might have been poisoned in the egg when the Beedrills attacked the mother."

Um...Hmm...EH?

"Jax, honey...I think this baby Kangaskhan is...really sick."

"What?! No! We HAVE to save it! The mommy Kangaskhan entrusted her precious egg to me! We can't let the baby die after the mom sacrificed itself! That would be too sad!" cried Jax with a river running down his eyes and a thick mucus membrane hanging from his nose.

"HAHAHAHA! Jax, honey, Mommy was just joking! The reason this baby Kangaskhan is purple...is well...because it's not a Kangaskhan at all!"

"WHAT?! It's not?! Oh no! What about my perfect stats! My Dense Diamond Potential!"

Upon taking a closer look at that baby Kangaskhan? that was in Doria's hands, Jax noticed a couple oddities aside from its purple shade skin.

'A horn? Large ears? Spikes on its back? WHO'S THAT POKEMON?!'

'IT'S...NIDORAN (M)!'

In Jax's hysteria, he completely forgot about all of his pokemon knowledge and just assumed that because the mother was a Kangaskhan, the egg would be too! Jax now felt super embarrassed having panicked over nothing.

"HAHAHA! Mommy was just playing a joke, don't be so sad. There are a lot of Nidorans and Nidokings in that forest. It would make sense if a strong Nidoking was the mate of that Kangaskhan." exclaimed Doria who was still having difficulty breathing from laughing so hard.

Handing the Nidoran (M) over to Jax once again, Jax looked at his very first pokemon adoringly. He took another silent vow that he would do his best to raise this Nidoran (M) to become the very best.

Jax would not have believed in his wildest dreams that his very first pokemon would be such a powerhouse. That too at only level 1 and only an hour after it hatched. But what's with the question mark at its grade?

Jax kept pondering but with no further clues to go off on, he got mad and yelled at his system. "Stupid system! At least tell me why there are so many question marks! There are more question marks than actual helpful information!"

After Jax's short outburst, all of Nidoran (M)'s information became question marks!

A while later, after much pleading and crying from Jax, the system finally made Nidoran (M)'s information visible again.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving their first pokemon! Milestone unlocked! Checkpoint reached! Opening system's functions partially! Please be patient while the system reboots...5%...10%...15%..."

After 30 minutes of waiting, "Ding! 100%! System has opened part of its functions! Host now has access to...Sub-space!"

"Wait! What?! I finally have my very own fantasy Sub-space?!"

Rushing off to the bathroom mirror, Jax hurriedly used his psychic powers to spread evenly around himself so that he can check his stats.

Jax swore he felt like the system was feeling apprehensive towards him. How an AI system had feelings was beyond him.

"Um, what kind of milestones do I need to reach to unlock the rest of my authorities? And I know the sub-space is unlocked now but what exactly can I do with it? And how do I even access it?"

"Ding! Host inquiries has been confirmed. System searching for most appropriate information...Standby...Initializing...Confirmed. Answering hosts questions. "Huh? When you feel like it? So, you can literally unlock it now? Wait, I only have more questions! You didn't even answer about the sub-space!"
