16: Cerulean City

As Jayden got closer and closer to Cerulean city, he could see the tall buildings in the distance.

Cerulean city was a mid-sized city with a few attractions, but it was also home to the cerulean city gym leader so many Pokemon trainers came here after defeating their first gym.

just like jayden.

Jayden entered cerulean city and immediately booked a hotel, took a shower and went out after placing raboot in his PokeBall.

it was his first time in Cerulean City after all, even for the Jayden that died.

While walking on the cross walk Jayden smiled as he noticed many people in the city, and even kids running around with little pokemon, although it was night time, the city was well lit and showcased a peaceful view all around.

Jayden sat on a bench and watched as the water of a large fountain shot into the air, many water type Pokemon were seen playing in this fountain.

an old lady with a cane soon sat next to him, while talking to a little girl.

"go on little one, this old lady will be right here" she said with a laugh.

the little girl jumped in excitement before she hurried towards the huge fountain, holding a little Azurill in her hands.

"I usually bring my granddaughter here when I am free, it's definitely a great sight" the old lady said, Jayden wasn't sure if she was talking to him, but he still replied.

"it definitely is a great scenery" he told the truth, he truly enjoyed this.

Jayden then pulled out his phone and texted his parents back.

"dad: We planned to book tickets for a yacht towards Cinnabar island, you should come with us, your mom and I have some old friends there"

Jayden read the text and thought for a while, Cinnabar island?

He should definitely go there, it would be worth it.

"ok, I will go with you guys then, when should I come back home?"

Jayden replied, he was about to put his phone away when he got a text back nearly instantly.

"dad: try to come back next week, I'm booking the tickets rn, and we can start packing next week, the vacation won't be too long, plus you can train your pokemon while your at cinnabar island" his dad texted back, he had only said the last part because afterall Jayden had only started his Pokemon adventure, they didn't want to use up his training time.

but since Jayden agreed to go, it was already planned.

"in a week? I can do a lot within a week"

"ok I got it, goodnight dad" he texted back. Jayden smiled and stood up before stretching a bit.

tomorrow he planned to challenge the cerulean city gym, although he had no advantage over the gym, he now had a literal monster on his team, the gym battle would be way too easy.

After the gym battle he planned to spend the rest of the week around Cerulean city training his Pokemon along a few routes, after a week he could get a ride back to pewter city and then head home.

when Jayden entered the hotel he had booked a room at, his rotom phone rang continuously, someone was calling him.

after looking at the contact name he realized that it was Stephanie who he hadn't talked to in a while.

he answered the call and greeted her "hello Stephanie, what's up"

Stephanie's face appeared in the camera, she seemed to be inside of a pink room, a small Eevee was seen running around on her bed in the back.

"heyy Jayden, guess what" Stephanie said excitedly with a large grin on her face.

"hmm, let me guess you finally defeated a trainer?" Jayden laughed while seeing her large grin.

Stephanie rolled her eyes and pouted, "not that, you idiot, I got my trainer license" she said and held up a small card to the screen.

"oh you did? congratulations, now you can start challenging the gym's" Jayden said with a smile, he felt happy for her, even though getting the license wasn't a big issue, it seemed like it was for Stephanie.

"of course, of course, thank you" Stephanie giggled softly, she was also excited to catch a few more pokemon and challenge Forrest soon.

"ah, that reminds me, where are you right now? you don't seem to be in pewter city?

" she asked in confusion.

"nope, I'm in cerulean city right now, it's very nice here" Jayden replied while entering his hotel room.

"cerulean city?, does that mean you have already beat your first gym? Are you going to challenge the cerulean city gym already?" Stephanie nearly shouted in shock, she couldn't process this.

"yes, Forrest isn't that strong so it's nothing" Jayden said to her, he wasn't being humble, he was actually telling the truth.

Stephanie gulped and held back her words, she remembered watching a video of Forrest fighting inside the pewter city gym, the large onix he had scared the soul out of her.

"i- ok if you say so" Stephanie stammered for a while.

After talking to Stephanie for a few more minutes and wishing her luck on her journey tomorrow, she bid him farewell and got ready for bed.

after ending the call, Jayden sat in front of a computer in the hotel room and turned it on.

"Cerulean city gym"

he decided to get information on the gym leader and his or her pokemon before he battled tomorrow.

the gym leader was actually Misty, who was shown in the anime.

Misty had a Staryu which was level 18, and a starmie which was level 21.

these were the two pokemon she used in her gym battles.

Although misty had a Pokemon which was over level 20, Jayden wasn't scared in the slightest, the victory was still in his bag.

After searching around a bit more and watching a few of her battles, Jayden prepared to go to sleep after watching some television on the TV.
