Picking up chicken on the way~

He turned to the Farfetch'd and looked at him, squatting down. Farfetch'd looked Ace and frowned, "Farfetch'd." Ace didn't understand Pokemon but Noibat chirped from Ace's head, "Noibat~!"

Farfetch'd looked up at Noibat saying coldly "Far!" Noibat was stunned and retorted, "Noi! Noibat. Noi Noi!" Farfetch'd just snorted and ignored him. Ace looked at Farfetch'd and said with a smile, "Are you sure you don't want to come with me? I'm from Galar too." 

Farfetch'd looked at Ace, who smiled, "I can bring you back when I go home." Farfetch'd frowned and thought about the pros and cons, before saying "Far, Farfetch'd!" his eye was cold and Ace curled his lips, rubbing Farfetch'd's head aggressively, "Then we'll be partners from now on."

Farfetch'd glared at Ace and waved his leek angrily, Ace caught the leek and smiled, flipping Farfetch'd over, saying as his smile faded, "You're too weak." Farfetch'd was dumbfounded and Ace picked him up by his leek, standing up, staring at the Farfetch'd, "You need to be trained. Even if you go back to Galar and I release you in the wild, you'll be food in days."

He shook Farfetch'd off the leek, dropping him down as the Farfetch'd looked up, Ace looked down at him with a cold expression, "I will train you. You don't have a choice." Farfetch'd was startled by the strength and sudden change of attitude, quacking weakly, "Far?"

Ace snorted, he was like this before. Very cold and straightforward. He only really mellowed out because of Noibat… As for this Farfetch'd that thought he was Mewtwo, it was better to give him the cold training plan.

Farfetch'd got up and quacked seriously, Ace gave him back the leek and curled his lips slightly, "Look alive. You're my pokemon now, Champion material. Not some wandering duck!"

Farfetch'd clenched his leek, staring at Ace with his serious eye, nodding solemnly. Ace's expression melted like snow in spring, smiling "Good, then let's get started." as he handed Farfetch'd the other Leeks.

Farfetch'd looked at the leeks in confusion as Ace said "You can eat them or keep them, I don't need them." Farfetch'd felt the power in the leeks and kept them seriously, quacking "Far." Ace nodded and let Archen, Cranidos, and Tyrunt out of their balls, starting to train on the deck of the Ferry.

A month later

The ship stopped in Sinnoh at Canalave city.

Ace got off the ship and looked around before finding a Pokemon Taxi. He let out a breath of relief and took a Charizard Taxi to Oreburgh.

Ace held Noibat in his arms as he was flown to Oreburgh, it only took half an hour!

Ace and Noibat disembarked, waving at the Taxi. The Man driving smiled and nodded, "Call anytime!" before flying off. Ace was amazed at the Pokemon World, he didn't even pay attention before… 

Turns out it's so wonderful and strange.

Charizard Taxis, Wailord Cruises…

There was even a Jigglypuff Popstar!

Farfetch'd came out of his ball and looked around, Ace put Noibat on his head and walked around Oreburgh, looking at everything. He came to the Pokemon Center and saw Nurse Joy at the counter. He left Farfetch'd with Noibat on a table on the side, leaving his Rotom Phone with Noibat as he approached Nurse Joy, asking "Is there any homes for rent?"

Nurse Joy looked at him and smiled, "Can I have your ID, sir?" Ace nodded and handed Nurse Joy a card, she put it in a computer as Ace waited there.

Noibat held the Rotom Phone as it giggled at him, Noibat said "Noi Noi!" Rotom changed the apps and turned on a video… It was One Piece!

Noibat smiled happily and watched as Farfetch'd looked around, holding 3 leeks. He turned to Noibat and glanced at the phone before freezing.

He watched a green haired guy with a scar over his left eye fighting a huge stone golem.

Farfetch'd's eyes widened as the man used 3 swords and chopped the huge golem without effort.

"Farfetch'd?!"

Noibat cheered, "Noibat!"

Farfetch'd looked at his 3 leeks and a lightbulb appeared over his head, he peeled the leek and made a leek belt around himself, tying it into a knot and fitting the 3 leeks into his waist before taking them out and biting one of them, holding the other two in his wings.

Farfetch'd trained on the spot in three sword style.

Ace chatted with Nurse Joy as she said, "There's a property for sale on the hill past the Museum." Ace nodded and said "I'll buy it." Nurse Joy smiled and swiped his Trainer Card before freezing, she stared at the long line of zeros before swallowing as she glanced at Ace.

Ace scratched his cheek and smiled embarrassingly, "It's my sister…" Nurse Joy cleared her throat and smiled shyly, "Um… Well, if you need help, you can come back to me… Even if you just want to talk, or have dinner!"

Ace laughed awkwardly, "Yeah… forsure! I'll go settle in… Um… Bye!" before turning around and leaving. He picked up Farfetch'd and Noibat before leaving as Nurse Joy sighed.

It was tough being a Nurse Joy, the Pokemon Center doesn't pay as well as everyone thought. She sighed to herself again, wondering when she would meet her prince charming…

Ace walked through Oreburgh, looking around. 

This place was a bit different from the games, but not all that much. He didn't remember where the Gym was in the anime but in THIS Oreburgh, the gym was carved out of the mountain!

Essentially, the entire city of Oreburgh was inside a massive quarry-like crater. The surrounding mountains, if you want to call them that, used to be a mountain that was mined a long time ago.

The current Oreburgh was a rich mining town that supplied all sorts of minerals and ores to basically the entire Region. Although, Ace wasn't sure if they supplied to other Regions or not… He was sure they supplied Sinnoh!

Ace stopped and looked at the Gym, holding Farfetch'd. He finally nodded to himself, this was pretty nice!

As stated before, the Gym was carved into a mountain, roads also led up to the gym from the sides, even branching off into various training venues that used to be mines!

Ace had to say, it was a great idea! 

After looking for a while, he turned around and left, walking to his new house.

Although his house wasn't that expensive, it still cost a pretty penny!

The main reason was that the house was basically on the outskirts of town!

If Oreburgh was a bowl, Ace's house would be on an upper edge. This was the reason for the cheapness, however! The part that made the house not free was the excellent view of Oreburgh in its entirety!

Essentially, the house was on a cliff that overlooked the entire city!

When Ace got there, he looked around and muttered, "Seems like nobody's been here for a long time…" there was dust and the fence was rotting. The inside of the house was nothing to brag about either…

He turned outside and tried to look over Oreburgh, frowning slightly… The air was covered in smog. This wasn't unusual, after all it was a mining town, but it was slightly upsetting. It directly blocked his view of the city!

After looking for a while, Ace shook his head and went back inside the house, closing the door.
