An unstable variable appears!

Ace appeared next to Cynthia, looking at the Rift. Cynthia was talking to someone and Ace saw Sonia hanging around. He waved her over and Sonia skipped over, "Ace~! You did something incredible again!" as she hugged his neck, hanging there happily.

Ace's lips twitched and he put her down, "What are you doing here?" Sonia rubbed her nose and gave him a thumbs up, "You're looking at the newest Intern Professor at Granny Maggy's Research Center!" Ace rolled his eyes and chuckled, "An Intern… Woooow…"

Sonia froze and hammered his shoulder angrily, "Asshole! This is a big step for me, okay?! I'm very happy!" Ace raised his hands, "Okay, okay… I get it. How's Leon?" Sonia replied without thinking, "Great, he's doing really good, we're going for dinner in a wee- Ah!"

She held her face and blushed, "You jerk!" Ace laughed and Sonia punched his chest in anger. Cynthia looked at Ace and smiled, "Ace." Ace looked over and paused as he looked at a man next to Cynthia.

Cynthia smiled, "This is a promising young trainer…" Ace narrowed his eyes and grinned, "Is he now? Hehe…" he stretched out his hand and looked at the man, "I'm Ace."

The man looked at Ace and frowned slightly, shaking Ace's hand, "Qin Yuelong." Ace chuckled and gripped his hand tight, "What a… strange… name."

The out of place Chinese face, the clear strange clothing that didn't fit anywhere Ace had been in this world, and the mental superiority coming off this guy…

Don't need to think even for a second, this is a Chinese guy!

Ace sneered and threw his hand out, "Cao ni ma." Qin Yuelong froze and glared at Ace, who laughed. Those were the only words that Ace knew well in Chinese! As for this chinese guy… Ace looked at Cynthia, who blinked, "Huh?"

Cynthia knew Ace very well by now, if he didn't like someone, he would let them know! Cynthia looked at Qin Yuelong, touching her cheek. What's the problem this time?

Ace didn't even need to use his brain to know this guy was most likely bad news. 9/10 Pokemon stories he read are disgusting Harems. Not to mention, Ace was a full blooded, violently patriotic American!

While he might have a secret hidden weakness for asian women, these harem guys were the last person he wanted to hang around with.

Ace thought about brainwashing him, as long as you remove the Harem idea… Badabing badaboom? Though, maybe more will be better… He didn't have anything against Chinese people, just these self-righteous guys who care more about getting a harem than anything else…

Ace was disgusted.

He wiped his hand on his shirt, looking at Cynthia, "So, what's everyone doing here?" Cynthia's lips twitched as Qin Yuelong clenched his fists, she replied, "We're checking out the Research base around the Rift in the Hisui Area."

Ace turned to Sonia, who smiled at him, "I'm here to see if there's any Dynamax Energy left over." Ace rolled his eyes and said, "There isn't." Sonia shrugged and giggled, "Then I get a free vacation!" Ace was amused and said, "Forget your hotel, you can come live with me."

Sonia nodded, "Thanks!" Ace smiled and looked at the Rift before waving, "I'm a bit busy, do I have to come?" Cynthia rolled her eyes, "Just come take a look, you'll be surprised…"

Ace raised his brows, "Surprised…?" Cynthia smirked mysteriously and led the group into the portal. Ace looked at Qin Yuelong and sneered, when I get some kind of memory deleter, you're finished.

He didn't even need to think to know this guy's team.

They were all the same in the end.

Gengar, Arcanine, Gardevoir, Lucario, and two Pseudo Legendaries of your choice.

It was boring!

Arcanine is apparently a Legendary in China or something and Gardevoir was there to, well… You know the dramas…

He might have an Eevee hidden in there.

But this guy was an unstable factor.

He could do basically anything.

If he could, he wanted to call down Arceus to erase this guy from existence! It wasn't jealousy but Ace was seriously worried that this guy would do something crazy. Ace swore that if this guy touched a single hair on Ash's head, he would annihilate him as painfully as possible!

Speaking of, let's let Rotom hack into this guy's phone and see. If there was May, Serena, Dawn, or Bea, Ace would really take matters into his own hands.

You have to know, these girls except Bea, were hovering around Ash's age. From 9-12. Needless to say, this guy looked to be 18-ish. You know what that means. 

It's a justified act of heroism!

Well, as the self-proclaimed Hero, Ace decided to keep an eye on him.

The group walked around the Research base and Ace looked at everything, nodding to himself. Sonia walked next to him, "Wow, Cynthia! These are expensive research machines!" Cynthia smiled at her, "Most professors are sponsoring this project. Come on, let me show you the real main event."

They were brought to an open area.

Cynthia looked at Granny Carolina, who nodded at her. Cynthia looked around and smiled, "Quilava, come on out!"

Ace looked at the Quilava, who turned and waved a paw at him very happily. Ace smiled gently, these little guys always knew that he was the one who gave them away.

He checked Quilava's stats before sighing, Cynthia… you're cheating again?!

Cynthia smiled and crouched down, rubbing Quilava and taking away an Everstone.

Quilava jumped away and roared at the sky, bursting with light!

When the light receded, a new Pokemon appeared!

Hisuian Typhlosion!

Ace looked at the Typhlosion and nodded, sure enough… Almost as handsome as me! Cynthia smiled and said lightly, "Show them your new Move, Typhlosion." Typhlosion nodded, "Ty!" as purple and red ghostly flames circled around him.

Cynthia looked at everyone, "This is one of the many forms that are only available during this period in the Hisui Area. From the recovered research we've collected, not only does Typhlosion have a different form, but Decidueye, and Samurott also have one. Other pokemon have their own forms that are similar to regional forms."

The audience clapped while looking at Typhlosion, who looked a bit evil and lazy.

Ace nodded and Sonia shook his arm, "Awesome! Wow! That's so cool! I wonder what the others look like!" Ace waved, "You can ask Cynthia, I'm sure she has drawings of them." Sonia's eyes lit up and she trotted over, hugging Cynthia's arm happily.

Ace saw everything he needed to see and was ready to leave. He turned and saw Qin Yuelong hanging around suspiciously. Ace frowned and took out his phone, texting Cynthia.

Cynthia looked at her watch and frowned, looking over at Ace, who was walking away.

[Be careful of this guy you brought. He doesn't feel like a good person to me. I'd recommend getting a Psychic Type to cleanse your mind.]

Cynthia frowned, what does that mean? She's subtly being brainwashed? She looked away while thinking.

Ace left the Hisui Area and stretched his arms, "Well, we're leaving again, Noivern." Noivern rested on Ace's head sadly, "Noi Noi…" Ace rolled his eyes, "That kid is playing in the Indigo League, we have to go watch him, no?"

Noivern rolled around, "Noi~!" Ace chuckled and walked to the Gym, there was still 2 months till the start of the league. In this time, Ace can check out the next couple of ruins on his map!

He turned to the side as a girl flew by on a bicycle, "Sorry, Misteeeeeeer~!" Ace shook his head and went to the Gym, smiling happily. Oreburgh is so lively now!

The next day, Ace left Roark in charge again before taking off. Roark waved goodbye and returned to the Gym, he got the hang of things and didn't need Ace to be around all the time anymore.

Ace sighed, things sure change fast!

You might not like it but hey! Sometimes these things happen. I'm not sure if this guy is going to be around long enough or not. He's just there to make it clear that Ace isn't a special case and that this happens all the time.

But, he doesn't have a system or whatever, just a normal trainer from a place that nobody knows about.
