44 Chapter 43 : The Loot

Orion quickly returned to his room in the Gym. He laid down a mat and began laying his loot in an orderly manner.

Like the previous time, what he got the most was berries. In fact, since Kadabra directly teleported huge quantities of them, the number of berries Orion had was in the thousands! They were almost 12 times more than what Machop had got the previous time despite only having a fraction of the time!

Orion gleefully thought, 'This is freaking good. I should get at least 120 thousand Pokecoins from the berries alone. This almost entirely fulfils the cost of Machoke's food. Not to mention, this isn't even my best loot…'

Orion's eyes turned over to the shiny stuff. The first thing he noticed were 23 small, green seeds with a shiny sparkle. Orion analyzed, '23 Miracle Seeds and I already have 8 Silver Powder. It looks like I can raise a Bug or Grass type Pokemon with relative ease. Or perhaps, a Bug and Grass type Pokemon…

Hmm, should I try to catch a Paras? After all, Parasect, though not exactly strong, has a lot of status moves and can cure status effects with Aromatherapy. It can also divert attacks using Rage Powder. So, it'll be very useful during the journey…'

Orion thought for a bit before deciding, 'That said, there isn't much time for me to start my journey. 7 months, though not bad, isn't exactly a lot of time. I might as well wait till then. Not to mention, Paras and Parasect aren't available in this area. If I can't get a good Grass type, I'll think about them in the future.'

Orion began looking at the other items Kadabra had snatched. Along with Miracle seeds, there were several dozen nuggets and a couple of star pieces. There were six Poison Brabs as well along with two Toxic Orbs. The only unlucky thing was that there weren't any expensive gems like the Celestial Pearl that he had found last time.

Orion looked at his Pokemons and said, "Same as last time, guys. Take whichever berries you like the most. However, don't overeat. I'll save some for the future as well."

Immediately his Pokemons began grabbing their favorite berries. Meanwhile, Orion focused on arranging his valuables properly. He stored the Miracle Seeds, Poison Barbs and Toxic Orbs close to the Power Herb and Silver Powder as they were items he might need in the future.

Next, he arranged the nuggets and other valuables to sell to the Poké Mart. Lastly, he kept some Berries inside his room for his Pokemons and stored the rest back in his bag. Having had their little treat, Orion called his Pokemons back in the Pokeballs and made his way to the Poké Mart.

The store clerk in the Poké Mart was the same one who had bought his resources earlier. Orion approached him and sold his items. While the clerk was surprised the previous time, this day, he was shocked!

He couldn't help but ask, "How did you get so many berries?"

Orion chuckled and replied, "I just got lucky. Anyway, accept them a bit more quickly. I still have a lot of other stuff to sell."

Seeing that Orion wasn't willing to answer, he didn't probe further. In all, Orion sold over 3,500 berries! He received 160 thousand Pokécoins for the same.

It was followed by selling the nuggets and star pieces. Orion got slightly over 812 thousand Pokecoins for the same.

Not wasting any time, Orion bought a Psychic Spoon for 660 thousand Pokecoins. It wasn't anywhere close to being comparable to the spoons Sabrina gifted but was still better than the energyless Psychic Spoon Kadabra was holding currently.

Orion also wanted to buy a Macho Brace and an ordinary Hard Stone, but he couldn't afford them just yet. That said, he wasn't worried. After all, it was just one of the many heists he planned on doing.

The reason why he focused on Kadabra was twofold. Kadabra had the most important role in the heist. He was the one to teleport the team into the colony, steal the valuables and then teleport the team out. So, Orion needed him to be at his best. The second reason was that Kadabra had the highest potential among his three Pokemons. He wanted to ensure that Kadabra's talent kept increasing further so that he would keep levelling up at a higher speed.

Orion handed the spoon to Kadabra and began moving towards Silph Co. while thinking, 'Now that I have some money to splurge, I should do something good for my Pokemons.'

He entered the floor which sold different types of Pokeballs to Pokemon Trainers. A Pokeball is where a Pokemon spends most of its time. As a result, it was important for the Pokemon to be comfortable in the Pokeball. Every Pokeball ever designed and manufactured gave special attention to this point. Which is why, even a normal Pokeball was as comfortable as the outside world.

However, there were special Pokeballs that were more suitable to live in. Orion bought a Heavy Ball for Rhydon. And, he bought two Luxury Balls for Kadabra and Machoke. He also bought 5 Level Balls to increase his chances of catching a low level Pokemon in case any caught his eye.

In addition to the Pokeballs, Orion also bought some equipment for himself, such as a couple of arm guards and gloves that were resistant to fire and electricity.

After returning back to his room, Orion called out his Pokemons and changed their respective Pokeballs. Since they cooperated, the process went extremely smoothly. More importantly, every one of them loved their new Pokeballs.

As his Pokemon retired into their new Pokeballs, Orion stretched his body and let out a yawn. He had been extremely busy that day and felt a bit tired. He lay in his bed while thinking, 'Now, what change should I make to the strategy so that we aren't swamped by attacks again?'

Orion recalled the scene of the Stun Spore, Poison Powder and Sleep Powder heading towards him and his Pokemons. Fortunately, such attacks were extremely slow. However, if it was something else, like say Gust or Poison Stings or even Razer Leaf, Orion and his Pokemons could be in grave danger. It wasn't what he wanted to see nor did he want to keep betting on his luck.
