7 Chapter 7 - First official Pokemon Battle
"I will start. Zera use quick attack" Zera speed quickly increased. Finn also decided to go with the same attack.
"Pikachu, use Quick attack as well" Both Pikachu and Zera hit each other but Zera had the upper hand because of his body size and high level so Pikachu was thrown back.
"Strong!" Finn felt this was going to be a tough battle.
"But we are just getting started. Pikachu, use dig" Pikachu rapidly moved his tail and drilled his way into the the ground. Itsuki wasn't afraid even though this was his first poke battle; Itsuki got all this confidence from his knowledge.
"Zera, use Plasma fist on the ground" Two blue lightning formed around Zera's first. Zera roared and punched the ground with her left fist.
Bang!
The ground near Zera shattered and Pikachu was forced come out.
"Zera, don't let Pikachu rest. Use Quick attack once again." Pikachu was still in air because the Plasma fist punch had shattered the ground and sent Pikachu in the air.
Before Finn could even tell Pikachu to do something, Pikachu was hit by another quick attack. Because Pikachu was a electric type, so against a normal type attack the damage taken by Pikachu wasn't big.
"Pika"
Pikachu was sent flying and crushed on the ground. Pikachu stood up with difficulty.
"That's the spirit, Pikachu, use thunderbolt." Thunder formed around Pikachu's body and Pikachu then directed that thunder towards Zera. Seeing thunderbolt, Itsuki showed a evil smirked.
Itsuki and Zera made no afford to stop the thunder which surprised Finn and he felt something was wrong. The thunder hit Zera and was absorbed by her. This made everyone very surprised. Itsuki knew that his Zera couldn't produce electricity but had the ability to turn absorb electricity.
Itsuki saw yellow sparkles of lightning. Itsuki grinned and knowing that the opponent has boosted Zera's strength.
"Zera use grass knot to bind Pikachu then use then use quick attack to increase your speed to use plasma fist."
Pika!!"
Finn saw that Pikachu's whole body was bind by grass. Pikachu tried to free and move himself but found that he couldn't do it. Finn became worried as he knew if Pikachu was to get hit by Plasma fist then it's over for him.
"Pikachu use your tail to use dig and escape." Pikachu was about to try what Finn said but Zera already had landed a punch on Pikachu's body which directly sent Pikachu flying more than 10 meters and Pikachu was badly injured.
Even Itsuki was very shocked. After all he never thought combination of Quick attack and Plasma fist would be dangerous.
"Pikachu you okay." Finn ran to get his Pikachu. Finn saw that Pikachu had fainted and needed medical attention right way.
"I am really sorry Finn and Pikachu; I was kind of lost in the excitement. Even I didn't have any that combination of two moves would so much damage." Even it wasn't Itsuki's fault he still apologized because he treated Finn with respect after seeing his fighting powers.
Finn shook his head with a smile. "No, it's alright. We rarely get defeated but our defeat always motivates us to get even stronger. This is my 3rd loss." Finn and Itsuki shook their hands.
Itsuki then saw something which shocked him. Itsuki saw that Zera level had increased one and now she was level 32.
'Is it because gaining battle experience? Looks Like my training I can raise my Pokémon level.'
Finn then gave Pikachu to Nurse joy. Itsuki also stood by Finn's side because a part of him felt guilty for hurting Pikachu this badly.
Eevee!
Eevee came running to Itsuki. She was very excited to see Itsuki and Zera fighting. She also wanted to fight someone.
"Don't worry. You will also get your chance." Eevee nodded and rubbed her head on his chest. Itsuki then sent Zera to also get checked by Nurse Joy.
"Finn, how many badges have you collected so far?" Itsuki while patting Eevee's head. Itsuki and Finn sat down after ordering iced coffee.
"So far I have collected 3 badges now I only need 5 more badges. Itsuki are you perhaps joining the Indigo League?" Finn looked very excited like a child.
Itsuki smiled and nodded.
"Then it is decided. I was planning on taking some time to train my pokemon and skip this year's Indigo League but now I will join the Indigo league and beat you there. So better be get stronger." Itsuki felt relieved to see Finn so energetic. Usually trainers often get depressed after losing.
"I don't hear such words from someone who just lost against me." Finn said with a smile.
"Heyyyy! Finn
Itsuki and Finn chatted for some time then Itsuki was called by Nurse Joy.
"Finn, I am going. Let's meet in Indigo League. Also please train your Pikachu. I want my Zera and your Pikachu to fight once again, in Indigo League."
Finn shook hand with Itsuki with a smile. "Don't worry. I will defeat you with my Pikachu and win the Indigo League. Until we meet again."
Finn shook his head with a smile and then left.
"By the way, Itsuki your Dratini is fine now. She will recover as long as she eats enough food." Nurse Joy had a beautiful smile on her face. Itsuki nodded with a smile and after saying Thank you to Nurse Joy, he went to order some food from the cafeteria. Itsuki did not find Finn in the cafeteria.
'It looks like he have went to train his pokemons.'
Itsuki sat down in a corner near window. Itsuki saw that it was already dark outside so he ordered dinner for himself and his Pokémon.
"Here is your order, please enjoy." Finn nodded and paid no attention to the female waitress who wanted to flirt with him.
"Dratini come out."
Dra…!"
Dratini gaze fell on Itsuki and seeing that many people sitting together, Dratini showed a angry reaction and was about to attack. But Itsuki picked her up, surprising her and patted her head. Itsuki's aura calmed her down.
"It's okay, I know that humans had treated you very badly but I promise from now on, no one is going to mistreat you." Itsuki while hugging Dratini.
Itsuki's kind and warm words made Dratini's heart warm. Something about Itsuki calmed Dratini and made her feel very safe. Dratini felt warm, type of warmth she had never felt before. Dratini slowly calmed down and rested her head on his chest. Eevee looked little jealous but she decided to be nicer to her new friend.
Eevee bought the Pokemon food near Dratini. Itsuki picked up one poke food and bought it near her mouth.
"Dratini open your mouth. I have some tasty food." Dratini first smelled the poke food then looked at Itsuki. Seeing him nodding, Dratini opened her mouth and put the poke food inside.
Her tasting the food, Dratini eyes lit up and looked at Itsuki with expectations. Itsuki chuckled and gave the poke food he had ordered.
"Here, don't eat too fast. There is more food if you're not satisfied with one bowl." Dratini immediately began to eat very quickly.
Nurse joy also returned with Zera who was perfectly fine. Itsuki patted Zera's head. "Eevee and Zera, meet your new friend, Dratini."
Zera and Eevee looked at each other and nodded with a smile. Both of them were happy with their new friend. Seeing the poor state of Dratini both Eevee and Zera felt pity for Dratini and began to her as her new sister.
After eating 4 bowls of poke food, Dratini finally recovered and lost all the signs of malnutrition. After paying the bill, Itsuki returned to hotel, to his room.
"Come out everyone." Dratini was by nature kind Pokémon so she quickly opened herself and became friends with Zera and Eevee.
Next day,
After having breakfast, Itsuki walked towards the Pewter city gym. 'In the canon, Ash got lucky and got his first 2 badges even without seriously fighting the gym leaders. If the is world still follows the canon then Brock should have left with Ash on a journey. That means currently Brock father is the gym leader.'
Itsuki stood in front of an old house. The doors of the house opened and Itsuki saw a writing on the entrance say him to walk down him road and he will arrive at the place where Gym battle will take place. After walking for 4 to 5 minutes, Itsuki was finally standing in the arena.
In front of Itsuki, Brock was standing. Yes, it was Brock. 'But how?' Itsuki couldn't think of any explanation.
"Before starting, Can I ask you if a 10 years old boy recently had come here to challenge you? His name is Ash by the way."
"No. Your are the 3rd trainer in this month who has come here to challenge the Pewter gym. My name is Brock." Brock appearance was similar to what he looked in the canon. Brock's most notable feature is that his eyes appear to be closed all the time. He also has spiky brown hair and tan skin.
He wore an orange t-shirt, a lime green cargo vest with 4 pockets, a dark brown belt with a gold buckle and dark red pockets, brown jeans and blue-gray sneakers with white trim.
