40 Chapter 40 - Chasing Criminals
Itsuki was walking while enjoying the view of a modern city but then trouble came. Several guys run past Itsuki.
"Hey stop them" Itsuki was not going to interfere but then a female's voice came from behind. Hearing the female's voice, one the man threw a black ball towards Itsuki. Itsuki thinking this black ball might be some kind of dangerous weapon dodged but then he collided into someone and fall on the ground. While the black ball exploded and covered 30 meters area with black smoke.

"Ouch! That hurts." Itsuki heard the girl's voice. Itsuki opened his eyes and saw that he and the girl lying on his body was surrounded by black smoke.
Itsuki rolled his body and picked up the girl in his arms, carried the girl outside the black smoke. Itsuki then looked at the girl who was coughing in his arms. But for some reason this girl looked very familiar.

The girl opened her eyes and furiously looked at Itsuki. The girl seeing Itsuki's face, recognized him.
"It's you. Itsuki Kagami" The girl recognized Itsuki but Itsuki felt the girl looked familiar but couldn't tell who she was.

The girl stood up and angrily looked at Itsuki. "It's your fault that I have lost the criminals. I will hold you responsible if you don't help me catching the criminals."
"Huh? How is it my fault?" Itsuki felt the girl was being unreasonable.
"If you couldn't catch the criminals then it's your fault not mine. I am not a police, I am just a normal trainer. Why the hell I should help you?"

The girl looked even more furious hearing Itsuki's words. The girl grabbed Itsuki's collar and angrily said. "If you hadn't bumped into me then I could have catch those guys easily. Plus it is the responsibility of every trainer to help the law to catch the criminal otherwise you could be arrested for not helping but also interfering, preventing Saffron City gym leader from catching criminals."

"Saffron city Gym leader?" Itsuki carefully looked at the girl's figure. Sabrina is a slim young woman. She has long black hair with shorter layers around her face and a fringe and small purple eyes. She was wearing a red and black dress with yellow cuffs over black tights/leggings, white gloves and red and yellow knee-high boots.

'System is she?' Itsuki asked the system in his mind.
[Master's guess is correct. The girl in front of Master is the Gym leader of Saffron City.]
'Oh shit, I am dead. Never thought my first counter with Sabrina would be like this.' Itsuki couldn't help but curse his bad luck. 'All this are those thugs fault. I swear I will personally beat everyone of you.'

"Hey, are you even listening?" Sabrina felt annoyed when she saw Itsuki lost in this thoughts. "I was just thinking how I should catch the thugs and teach them a lesson. All this happened because of them." Sabrina also agreed with Itsuki.
"Come on, they went towards the shopping district. I am sure they will hide in the shopping district for a while." Itsuki didn't say anything and quietly followed Sabrina.

'Sabrina is a executive of Team Rocket. No one really knows this news, even the elite four or the Pokemon Peace Maintaining Authority is unaware of it. I don't if she is still working for the team rocket or she was exited the Team Rocket. I have to be careful. She might even lead me to a trap and capture me. She did knew my name so I can assume that Team Rocket has informed her about me. I have to know what if she is working with Team Rocket or not, for that I will have to follow her.'

Itsuki was maintaining few meters distance of Sabrina. Itsuki was walking neither too fast nor too slow, Itsuki was taking big steps which showed his confidence. Itsuki didn't showed his wary or cautious side to Sabrina instead he maintained a confidence posture.
Itsuki looked at Sabrina who showed a stern expression on her face which kept the citizen from approaching her even though they knew her. 'She would have been much more beautiful is she could change her stern expression.'

While walking with Itsuki, Sabrina asked. "Tomorrow early in the morning, I will wait for you at my gym. If you came late then I won't accept your challenge. You will have to wait in the line." Itsuki raised an eyebrow. Itsuki could feel the distant and cold vibe from Sabrina's tone.
[Master since Saffron city is a big city, everyday at least 20 to 25 challengers comes to challenge Sabrina. And now that many trainer are coming to the city for trading pokemon, the number of Challengers also has increased a lot. Usually a trainer has to register and wait for few days before the trainer could get his turn.]

Itsuki suddenly remembered that Sabrina has Psychic powers. "Say Sabrina, I heard that you have Psychic powers so why didn't you use your powers to catch the criminals?" Itsuki could even feel that Sabrina has strong Aura in her body but the Aura has not awakened yet. 'If she manages to awaken Aura in her body then her Psychic powers will be increased and her Psychic could even be compared with a pokemon.'

"Why should I answer your question. Just keep your mouth shut and follow me." Sabrina replied in a harsh tone, which told Itsuki to keep his nose away from interfering on her matters. Itsuki nodded. He also didn't care much about Sabrina. Itsuki only asked because he was curious.

Itsuki and Sabrina entered the shopping district. The shopping district was bursting with colorful lights. There was different Casino, shopping malls, Roadside stalls which sold fast food, different variety snacks, earings, dolls, Magikarps, watchs, cheap clothes and many more. While walking through the shopping district many things caught Itsuki's eyes but Sabrina completely ignored everything and kept walking.

'I thought girls loved this type of places. So why this girl is not affected by anything?' Itsuki remembered that Sabrina used to carry a doll in the anime. The current Sabrina was different, she wants to be alone.
Sabrina took out a communication device something like Walkie Talkie. After talking, Sabrina turned to Itsuki and said."The police has surrounded the shopping district and posters of those thugs as been handed to every shopkeeper in the shopping district. It shouldn't take long before the thugs are captured." Itsuki silently nodded.

The Saffron city is popular for its shopping district. Especially the core part of the shopping district is always crowded. Itsuki and Sabrina could barely walk in the crowd.
"Hey, stick closer to me. Otherwise we will be separated from each other." Itsuki heard Sabrina's words. She was walking in front and Itsuki was following her but the distance between them was about 10 meters. Both almost got separated from them other because of the crowd.

"Hey let's held hands otherwise I don't think we can stay together." Itsuki said that because he saw that Sabrina was having problem walking through the crowded road.
Sabrina didn't think much and gave her right hand to Itsuki. Itsuki tightly held her palm and took the lead. "Are we aimlessly going to walk or are we going somewhere?"
"On the other side of shopping district, the police is waiting for us. The matter is 90 percent resolved so I am done here for today."

Suddenly Itsuki stopped walking and Sabrina's head bumped into Itsuki's chest. Sabrina looked up and asked. "Why did you stop?"
Itsuki pointed his right hand and told her. "The Shopkeeper is moving his furnitures so we will have to wait for few minutes." Sabrina nodded. Since Itsuki cannot walk or move because of the heavy crowd, Sabrina was very close to his chest. There wasn't a single empty space left, every space in the road was occupied by people.

Itsuki looked back to see how long they will have to stand here but then a six feet tall man moved back which pushed Itsuki and caused him to gently hit Sabrina against his chest. Sabrina almost felt suffocated but then a gentle embrace wrapped around her. Itsuki put his hands on her shoulders.
"Sorry" The six feet man apologized. Itsuki tried to make some space between Sabrina and his chest but failed to do it because of the crowd.

Sabrina for some reason felt very comfortable in this position. Her hands grabbed Itsuki's waist and she buried her head in his chest even without realizing.
'How long its been since the last time I felt something warm like this?' Sabrina asked herself. She was lost in her thoughts.
