136 Chapter 135 - Indigo League; Finals [V]

Since the sunlight is blocked by the dark clouds, Itsuki now was able to use Marshadow's natural ability to the max. Cynthia would have no way of knowing from where Marshadow was going to attack since she can't spot his shadow under the dark clouds.

Marshadow was 10 meters behind of Floatzel. Both Cynthia and Floatzel was trying their best to locate Marshadow. Just like before Marshadow opened his pari of green eyes.

Cynthia sensed where Marshadow was by detecting his Aura. Marshadow acted quickly as a giant palm made out of white energy formed above his shadow and shot towards Floatzel.

"Floatzel dodge quickly." The attack was about to hit Floatzel but moved to his right, somehow dodging the attack at the very last moment. Cynthia then looked at Itsuki only to see him smiling like he had succeeded.

"Now use thunder punch."

Cynthia tried to sense Marshadow only to find him next to Floatzel. A black figure with dark green eyes appeared behind Floatzel and punched him from behind.

Bang!

Water Pokemon are very weak against thunder. The thunder punch did some serious damage to Floatzel. Using the opportunity, Itsuki again ordered Marshadow to use thunder punch. But how can Cynthia allow that to happen?

When Marshadow was only 1 meters away from Floatzel when Cynthia ordered Floatzel.

"Aqua tail."

A small water stream began to spirals around Floatzel tail. Before Marshadow could dodge, he slammed his tail against Marshadow which sent the ghost type Pokemon flying.

Boom!

[What a counter.]

Marshadow fell more than 10 meters away from Floatzel. Marshadow gritted his teeth in pain as blood started to leak from his mouth. Enduring the pain Marshadow tried his best to stand up.

Cynthia was not going to miss this golden chance. "Hydro Pump." Floatzel opened his mouth to fire water blast at Marshadow. "Marshadow quickly hide in your shadow." Before the hydro pump could hit Marshadow, he already had entered in his shadow.

'Looking how exhausted and injured Marshadow is, I don't have much time. I have to take a risk and finish the battle. Floatzel condition isn't better than Marshadow. Floatzel is also injured and exhausted.' Itsuki thought as he kept his eyes on Floatzel.

"Marshadow use drain punch" Cynthia on hearing Itsuki's words began to look for Marshadow. She can't let the same thing happen again.

Marshadow who was 10 meters away from Floatzel, opened his dark green eyes and a threw a green energy orb towards Floatzel.

"Floatzel move to the left." Cynthia already had found Marshadow's location when he opened his eyes. Floatzel moved to the left and dodged the green energy orb. Before Cynthia could relax, she heard Itsuki's excited voice which made her panic.

"Now use thunder punch."

Cynthia eyes widened in shock seeing Marshadow appearing behind Floatzel. Both of Marshadow's fists was covered in yellow electricity. At that moment, Marshadow's dark green eyes looked like the eyes of a predator.

BAM!

Marshadow landed the first punch on Flaotzel right cheek and then landed the second punch on Floatzel left cheek.

Floatzel fell on the ground as electricity began to began to fry her body. The damage Floatzel took from the attack put heavy burden on his body as he experienced pain, tingling, numbness, weakness or difficulty moving a limb.

Itsuki was very impressed to see Floatzel still conscious. "Marshadow finish this with drain punch." Cynthia could only bitterly watch as the green energy orb hit her Pokemon.

Boom!

[Floatzel is unable to battle.] Marshadow also looked much better after using the drain punch. Drain Punch inflicts damage, and up to 50% of the damage dealt to the target is restored to the user as HP. Itsuki wanted Marshadow to fight little longer as the last move to knock out Floatzel.

[At the very last moment using the dark clouds to his advantage, Itsuki managed to take Cynthia by complete surprise and land two super effective thunder punches which helped Itsuki in taking the lead once again. Now Cynthia has two Pokemon left while Itsuki has 3 Pokemon.]

'I was hoping that Floatzel would at least take out Marshadow with him.' Cynthia was feeling little frustrated. Fighting with Marshadow means Cynthia would have to be alert all the times and look out otherwise Marshadow might use his shadow ability to attack her Pokemon.

Cynthia has to admit that using the rain dance had bought her this defeat. 'I wanted to use the Rain dance to increase Floatzel attack power. But who would thought that my own plan would backfire on me. This was the mistake from my part. I should have thought more about Marshadow shadow ability.'

Lucario!

[Cynthia's fifth and second last Pokemon is Lucario. It looks like Cynthia won't be using her Milotic in the finals.]

Itsuki looked up to see the dark clouds slowly leaving the sky and the sky began to brighten. 'It looks like I won't able to use the dark clouds to my advantage anymore. So I can't use the Marshadow's shadow ability anymore.' Whenever Marshadow entered his shadow, Cynthia would able to trace Marshadow just by looking for his shadow under the sunlight. This happened during the battle between Roserade and Marshadow.

"Marshadow close combat." The shadow of Itsuki's Pokemon charged towards Lucario. Cynthia smiled and felt so relieved when she saw the shadow of Itsuki's Pokemon. Now she would able to keep her eyes on Marshadow even if he hides in his shadow.

"Lucario use close combat as well." Both Itsuki and Cynthia knew that Marshadow was already very exhausted and injured from the fighting with Roserade and Floatzel. The exhaustion and injury has dropped Marshadow fighting power. Marshadow was no longer in his peak form.

Boom!

Both Pokemon started to attack each other. After few seconds passed, Cynthia realized something. She felt something was wrong here. Even though Lucario was in his peak form, he was still receiving attacks from Marshadow. While Marshadow was able to dodge all of Lucario's punches and kicks.

"How is possible?"

"You see unlike your Lucario I have personally trained all of my Pokemon in Martial arts. So when it comes to hand to hand combat Marshadow is better than Lucario."

BAM!

Marshadow's punch made Lucario fell on the ground. Marshadow didn't stop there, he raised his right fist and was about to punch Lucario again but Lucario used force palm without Cynthia order.

Marshadow was sent flying once again. The smile on Itsuki's face also disappeared. Who would have thought that Lucario would use force palm without Cynthia's order. Or Maybe Cynthia had just told Lucario to use force palm to defend itself from the enemy.

"Good job Lucario." Lucario with some bruises on his face stood up and looked at Marshadow.

On the other hand, Marshadow looked like he had reached his limit. Marshadow coughed up blood as he tried his best to stand up. But Itsuki could see that Marshadow's arms and legs were trembling refusing to move.

Sigh!

Itsuki felt he had pushed Marshadow too far. First Marshadow fought with Roserade then with Floatzel who is level 43 Pokemon and now with Lucario. Itsuki felt it was his mistake to push Marshadow to continue.

[Marshadow looks very exhausted. I think this is the end of Marshadow.]

'In the process of defeating Cynthia, I almost neglected about my Pokemon's health. I think Marshadow has done more than enough.' Itsuki thought as he looked at Marshadow who struggled to stand up.

The truth was Itsuki was hoping to at least injure Lucario before he used his next Pokemon. That way his fifth Pokemon would have advantage in the battle and easily able to defeat Lucario while maintaining most of his stamina for the final opponent. Itsuki plan was to use his Gyarados and Zeraora to defeat Garchomp.

"Marshadow that's enough. You can rest now and leave everything to your brother and sister." Marshadow looked at Zeraora and saw Zeraora nodding her head with a determined look. Marshadow finally stopped struggling as he let his body fell on the ground.

[Marshadow is unable to battle.]

"Thank you Marshadow. You have done more than enough." Itsuki murmured as he watched Marshadow take away by the emergency team.

Zeraora! [Master let me fight him.] Zeraora looked very eager to fight Lucario. Itsuki shook his head while taking out his next Pokeball.

"Have patience. I promise you will fight but no in this round. Because I will need you at the last round." Zeraora cutely pouted and looked away.

"Come out"

"Gyarados!
