107 Chapter 106 - Indigo League; Rank and Rewards
The 8th match was already on the verge of ending. Serena wanted to congratulate Itsuki on his win but he was no where to be seen.
Serena thought Itsuki would return after his match. But Itsuki just disappeared after his match. Serena can kind of guess where Itsuki have went.

"Itsuki must have gone after that black haired girl." Serena murmured in low tone.
"Black haired girl who?" Itsuki's sudden voice almost stopped Serena's heart. Serena turned to her right and saw Itsuki.
Itsuki was wearing a new T-shirt and looking at the screen.

"Itsuki congratulations on winning the match. With perfect 10 points I am sure your place in top 10 is confirmed."
"Congratulations son." Kagami said.
"My baby you did it. Come here let mom give you a big hug." Rui spread her arms and said with a smile.
"Thank you everyone. Mom I don't want your hug. But thank you." Itsuki was already embarrassed by his mother's words.

After that Itsuki sat down while ignoring his mother for his own good.
Serena couldn't help but ask. "Itsuki where did you go after your match ended?" Itsuki raised his one eyebrow.
"I went to talk with Suzune. That girl had some issues which I helped her with." Itsuki didn't explain things in details as he was sure Suzune doesn't wants anyone to know about her weak side. Suzune was the type of girl who wanted to appear as a strong and independent girl in front of others.

"You know I have noticed this after coming here, you're already popular with girls." Serena said while pouting her cheeks. Itsuki had to admit Serena looked very beautiful when she pouted. Itsuki even had the urge to poke her cheeks.
"What can I say. I am just too handsome. I am the most handsome guy in the whole world. So it's natural for girls to attracted towards me." Serena rolled her eyes as she couldn't handle Itsuki's narcissist part.

Time passed as the ending of point round was coming. In another 3 hours, the whole point round came to an end. All the participants were called in the battlefield which was repaired after the battles.
All the participants stood facing the crowd in a vertical line.

It was finally time to announce the top 10 trainers with most points. Itsuki was standing on the right side of the vertical line with Cynthia and Suzune standing on his two sides. Ash, Paul and Gary were standing on the left side of the vertical line. The camera was on the 50 participants who stood line.

"I don't get it." Cynthia broke the ice by talking first. Cynthia looked at Suzune and then said to Itsuki. "Few hours ago, she said that she doesn't wants to amke friends and wants to stay alone. So why is she standing next to you?" Cynthia could feel that something inside Suzune had changed.
"Cynthia you....." Itsuki wanted to stop Cynthia but then Suzune countered. "It's non of your business. I can do anything I like. Before I didn't feel like making friends and I still feel the same way but not towards Itsuki."

Cynthia felt she had been hit with an invisible arrow. How could she not understand that the Suzune was indirectly telling her that she bad no interest in knowing Cynthia. Suzune was only here for Itsuki.
The coldness in Cynthia's eyes increased as she opened her mouth to say something but then the Elite four members voice stopped her.

[I once agian congratulate each and everyone for their amazing and spectacular performance. We all have enjoyed each and every battle. It's unfortunate that some of you have lost your respective matches and couldn't enter the top 10 rank. You all should remember that losing here means you only have lost this year's League. You can use this experience and might even the next year's Indigo League.]

Itsuki noticed the faces of some trainers improved because of Lance words.
[Without further explanation let's us announce names of the trainers with most points.] Lorelei then took over. She looked at the paper in her and then looked at the camera.
[Standing at the top of the Indigo League is
1. Cynthia with 10 points
2. Gary Oak with 10 points
3. Kagami Itsuki with 10 points
4. Paul with 10 points
5. Cameron with 10 points
6. Barry with 10 points
7. Ash Ketchum with 7.5 points
8. Lilith with 7.5 points
9. Lisa with 7 points
10. William with 7 points]

[Rest of the 40 trainers also have received a ranka according to the points the individual trainer earned.]
The list of the 50 trainers and their points was displayed in the screen.
Finn managed to get 42nd rank while Suzune got 43rd rank.
[Some unfortunate trainers have got zero points so in order to rank those trainers we have calculated the amount of time taken by each trainer to clear the first round.]

Itsuki looked at Suzune to see what she waa feeling. Suzune looked little sad and depressed but then look was replaced with a look of Determination.
Suzune turned to Itsuki. "You better win this Year's Indigo League. Because in the next one I am coming after you."
Itsuki smiled seeing that Suzune was not depressed anymore. "I will always wait for your challenge."

Itsuki then turned to Cynthia and said. "Congratulations! It looks like the chances of we fighting each other has increased." Itsuki could see Cynthia's eyes sparkle in excitement. She had seen what Zeraora have done in two matches. Itsuki is yet to show his other 5 Pokémon. Cynthia had a feeling that Itsuki was going to surprise here with his other Pokémon. Cynthia couldn't wait to fight Itsuki.

[I know that you all are wondering about the rewards for reaching this far. So now we will announce the rewards that everyone will receive.]
[Rank 50 will receive 10 million P$ and tax reduction in Pokémon tradition for 2 months.]
Itsuki knew the Kanto Associated was publicly announcing the rewards to tempt more people to participate in the next year's League. Itsuki just didn't expect the Association to give such generous rewards. But if you look at the huge amount of money a trainer earns just by selling Pokémon, the League has no choice but to pay large amount of money since 1 or 2 million will look like nothing in the eyes of those trainers.

Lorelei announced the rewards that each individual from rank 11 to rank 50 would receive. She didn't announce the rewards received by top 10 rankers since they are still in the tournament.

[Rank 11- 60 million P$, 10 Ultra Pkeballs, 40 percent discount in purchasing Pokémon food and healing portions upto 20 million purchase limit and 1 year of no tax for Pokémon trading.] Even Itsuki little tempted by the amount of rewards that the Kanto Associated was giving. But Itsuki understood that this kind of things are necessary if they wants to attract trainers from Kanto and other regions.

"The Associated has given more than 1.2 billion P$ liquid cash as reward. This confirms this year the Association has earned several times than the amount they earned last year." Itsuki calculated in his mind.

[Now that the reward distribution has ended. We request the trainers from rank 11 to rank 50 to go back stage.] Suzune gave Itsuki look and then the next second her gaze turned cold as she looked at Cynthia.
"Good luck Itsuki. I will cheer for you." Suzune then walked away.

Finn then appeared in front of Itsuki. Finn gave Itsuki a quick hug and then patted his shoulder.
"Brother, it looks like we can't fight each anymore. But don't worry next time we meet we will definitely fight each other. So till that day comes, I pray that God keeps you well and healthy. Good luck brother." Itsuki nodded with his head with a smile and watched as Itsuki also walked away. Itsuki from Finn's words understood that the chances of seeing him again in the future would be very less.

After few minutes only 10 trainers were left standing in the battlefield.
[Ash, Gary, Paul, William, Lisa, Lilith, Barry, Cameron, Itsuki and Cynthia. I once again congratulate every one of you for reaching this far. This year the competition was hard and you all managed to stand above thousands of other trainers.]

Lance then took over.
[The next round wil be 6v6 Pokémon battle. It is thw round where trainers will be showing thier full strength. This round is also point based. At the end of this round the 4 trainers with most points will be going to Semi-finals.] The screen then displayed the images of 10 trainers and the number of points currently held by each trainer.

The crowd loudly cheered. The whole stadium was excited. Everyone has seen the capabilities and power that each trainer possess.
[The first match will be between Itsuki vs Gary.] Itsuki saw Gary looking at him with a cold smile.

[Second Match will be between Cynthia vs Barry.]

[Third Match will be between Paul vs Cameron.]

[Fourth match will be between Ash vs Lilith]

[And fifth and final match will be between Lisa vs William.]
