65 Chapter 064

"Splash" came the sound, as Alex dove into yet another pool. A golden Charmader and a Nidoking were watching from the side.

Alex was hunting for treasure in one of the thousands of shallow pools near the river.

He has let Charmander out earlier as he did not know how long it would be, and he wanted to feed it. Nidoking let itself out and started chilling to the side. Alex did bit find anything until now. This was considered normal, as actual treasure in the wild, while existed was always difficult to find. The villagers apparently only had found 30 Water Stones over the past 5 years, a long with a bunch of other useless junk, and they came everyday with the Water type Pokemon Poliwhirl ot Poliwrath to help them.

But since Alex had nothing else do till the Professor or Alakazam came to get him, he decided to just keep doing this to kill time.

"Nothing in this spot I think. Let's go to another spot" said Alex. Charmader cried in acknowledgement, while Nidoking huffed. The level of the Nidoking was 56, which meant most of ots stats was unknown to Alex.

Alex walked a short distance to another pool, and said, "This pool feels like its going to be the jackpot!"

Alex dove in, holding the long hollow reed. It was surprising durable and lasted him for over 30 dives until now. He looked around the pool, keeping his eyes open, not forgetting to put his hands on every rock he saw in case it was mud accumulated on an item, a hint he got from the villagers.

Finally, just as he was about to return, the latest rock broke, and his fingers touched something smooth.

He immediately surfaced, remembering to go straight up so as to not miss the spot. He surfaced and found himself surfacing near a rock jutting out of the lake. He climbed onto the rock and yelled, "Looks like I found something!"

Charmander cried its acknowledgement, while Nidoking huffed.

"It seemed smooth and round. Could it be a Pokemon egg?" thought Alex.

Alex waited a few more minutes to catchhis breath and then dove in again.

This time, he carefully ran his hand across the smooth surface of the item. It definitely seemed like it was a Pokemon egg. He tried to pull it up, but it seemed to be stuck to either the rock behind it or weighed down by the mud stuck to it. Either way, he couldn't get it out.

He resurfeced, and spent a few minutes long on the rock. He decided to try shaking it loose and see if he could dislodge it from the rock, and dove in again.

He cleared all the mud around it and tried to shake it free, but he found out that the weight was not due to rocks or mud. The egg itself was surprisingly heavy underwater. He couldn't drag it to the surface easily, when the rock was a few meters underwater. So he went back to the surface.

As he sat on the rock pondering his next move, he heard a cry in the distance.

"Pidgeoooot" came the cry. Alex looked over to see a Pidgeot descend towards him. On its back, he could see Professor Oak.

"Hello Professor" cried Alex waving.

"Hello Alex. I asked around in the village and heard you took a trip upstream. What are you doing?" asked the Professor.

"Treasure hunting, as the villagers do. This is how they got the Water Stones" said Alex, and them proceed to explain the circumstances that led to items ending up in the river and the ponds.

"Any luck?" he asked intrestedly.

"There is something right below me Professor. It seems to be a Pokemon egg. But I couldn't get it up. It feels heavy even underwater. Could you help me Professor?" asked Alex.

"Of course" he said taking out a Pokeball. Alakazam came out of it.

"Alakazam, could you please bring up what is directly down here using Telekenisis?" asked Alex, pointing at the place the eggwas in.

Alakazam looked at him, and then closed its eyes. It started glowing blue. Shortly after, a 1 meter long Pokemon egg floated out if the water.

"Awesome!" yelled Alex.

"You are very lucky, this seems to be ms very rare egg of..." before Professor Oak could finish his sentence, another egg of the same kind floated out of the same spot.

While both Alex and the Professor were regarding the two eggs, Alakazam levitated a third egg from the spot. Alex and the Professor waited. Soon, Alakazam levitated two blocks of ice that seemed to be cold very cold, yet not freezing the water around it. Then, Alakazam levitated a few rocks that Alex instantly recognised as Water Stones.

Alakazam then opened its eyes and said "Thats all the things that was down there"
