The passive move didn't look very good but it was best for Pidgeot. After it ranks up to higher ranks, its speed would be very fast. However, that would also be a problem as it may not be able to control its speed.
This passive move would help it. It would also help in moves like 'Aerial ace'. If the move didn't hit, it could turn around and hit it again. It would not crash.
One of the interesting things was that Pidgeot had leveled up 'Parabolic charge' to level 42 which also increased its hidden power mastery. 'Parabolic charge' was a good move and if it could level it up more, then it would be very deadly.
Pidgeot asked to get a bath and Axel complied. He knew how freaky it was about hygiene and making its feathers clean. His new adventure was going to start and Axel was excited about it.
New region, new Pokemons, and meeting new friends. Only 2 days were left before his meeting with Gerad. Gerad had still not told him about the Pokemon species. After getting the egg, Axel decided to go to the Johto region.

After 2 days,
Axel was now waiting for Gerad in Gerad's office room. He wanted to know what Pokemon he would be getting. Gerad said that it was a surprise and he would love it.
No matter what Pokemon, Axel knew that he would love it. It would be a pseudo-legendary Pokemon and also a dragon-type Pokemon. This would be the second Pokemon for his Johto team.
The door opened and Gerad came holding a big incubator. Axel could see that an egg was inside the incubator.
"So, are you excited about the egg?", asked Gerad.
"Yes, what Pokemon it is?"
"It is an egg of Bagon.", announced Gerad.
"Oh, that is interesting."
"Are you happy with the Pokemon?"
"Yes, I am very happy. This would be my first dragon-type Pokemon and Salamence is a powerful dragon-type Pokemon."
"It sure is. Here, take it. It would come out after a week. As you said, it would be monstrous potential."
Gerad handed the incubator to Axel. Axel carefully took it. The incubator was so hard and heavy that even if it fell from the top of the building, nothing would happen to the egg. However, Axel didn't want to take any risk.
"Now, since you are done with the Kanto region for now, where are you planning to go?", asked Gerad.
"Oh, I am planning to go to the Johto region. Red also told me to go there. I took his advice."
There was small talk and Axel went to his hotel room. He had already met with Lance and Lorelai and now he was going to the Aerodactyl cave.

After 2 days,
Axel had finally arrived at this cave and he had proceeded to the Aerodactyl cave. He was welcomed in the cave by the tribe. The process of Venu family members selecting the Pokemons had already started and now the number of Pokemons in the cave had decreased.
"Hello Axel, so, are you finally ready to get your own Acron?", asked the leader of the tribe.
Axel had come here with Angela and they had maintained a good relationship with the tribe leader. The leader had also told that Axel could get one of the baby Pokemon for himself.
Aerodactyl had 3 stages of evolution. Acron, Aerodactyl and Dracorock. Dracorock was a rock/dragon-type Pokemon. At that time he wanted Dracorock to be his dragon-type Pokemon but after getting Bagon, he was conflicted on what to do.
But when he started to talk to the leader, the solution presented itself.
"How does Aerodactyl evolve into Dracorock?", asked Axel.
"It is not a normal evolution. We have a stone here. We call it 'Dracorock' stone. The stone helps Aerodactyl evolve into Dracorock. However, a lot of conditions have to be fulfilled before this.
There are many but I can suggest you have a strong foundation from the start. Aerodactyl also must have a good flying ability and its skin should be as hard as steel.
You will start to notice it. So, you don't have to worry. When you think that Aerodactyl is ready to evolve, come here. We will help you in the evolution process."
Since it was not a normal evolution, Axel could train Aerodactyl till it was a pseudo-king rank Pokemon and then he could evolve it. Then it could have 2 cores. It could also have a dragon core which would be huge.
"Now, there are 10 Acrons who want to go on a journey. You can select one of them."
Axel went to meet them and they were standing in a line. All of them were curious to see a human and they had excitement in their faces.
Acron had an average height of 3 feet. It didn't have wings but it had a pointy tail just like Aerodactyl. It had a big mouth and sharp teeth and it was grey in color. It had sturdy small legs and heavy hands. It had stinted eyes and the eyes were blue in color. It looked very cute but also deadly at the same time.
Axel started to scan all of them and he found one that he liked. This Arcon seemed to be too happy and excited to join Axel. It was moving its tail in an excited way.

Axel chose this Pokemon for 2 reasons. First, it had black potential which only 1 other Acron had and the second was its move mastery. The highest move mastery was 'Dragon breath' which was level 15 followed by 'Bite' which was level 9.
This showed that it loved to be a dragon-type Pokemon and it loved to dominate. Axel liked that quality about Acron.
"I choose you.", said Axel pointing at it. The other Acron immediately felt sad but Axel told them that their time would also come.
He caught it inside a master ball.
He said his goodbyes and then started to go to the Johto region.
This next destination was New Bark Town.

Axel could have started his journey anywhere but he wanted to first meet Prof Elm. He had no specific reason to meet him. The protagonist of the game started from this town, so he also wanted to start it from here.

After 2 days,
Axel was resting inside the hotel of New Bark town. The plane ride was very long. It was around 35 hours. Axel had nothing to do at that time. So, he started to research the recipe of Togepi, Acron, and Bagon. He could buy it off but he had not found a good recipe. Oak was already making the recipe for Acron. Oak had also caught one cause he was interested in it.
After flying for such a long time, Axel booked the hotel and informed Elm that he would be meeting him tomorrow. Axel got Elm's number from Oak. It was not very hard to get it.
Axel went to bed immediately and then fell asleep.

Next day,
Bagon would hatch after a few days and he was now on the road to meet Elm. It took an hour to get there.
Knock.. Knock.. Knock.. Knock…
The door opened and he was greeted by a tall guy, with almost no hair on his head and he was wearing a spectacle and a lab coat.
"Oh, hello Axel. It is very nice to meet you. Come in, I have already prepared tea for us."
Elm was a nice guy. He was around 30 years old and he was way into researching new things. He was also a huge fan of Prof. Oak. Half of their talk was about Oak.
Axel didn't mind cause Oak was a huge name in the whole wide world. Elm and Axel also talked about eeveelutions and other discoveries of Axel.
"So, you are sure that there are other Eeveelutions?", asked Elm.
"I am not 100% sure but I can say that there is a huge possibility of it."
"That is nice. I also want to search for new eeveelutions. I think we should partner up on this.", said Elm.
"Hmm, that is an interesting proposal. I will think about it and tell you when I have a lead on new evolutions of Eevee.
I actually came here to ask a question. I want a Totodile. Now, since I have a new registration in the Johto region, I am allowed to get 1 Pokemon during the registration process. I could go there and ask for Totodile then I started to think that it may not be possible cause Totodile is one of the starters and the starter family may not like others having it."
"You came to the right place for this. Yes, you are correct. You would not get a Totodile there but I have some of them."
"Really, you do?"
"Yes, and you can choose one if you like."
"How much do I have to pay?"
"I don't need any money for it. Just take care of it, that is all I want."
There were starter Pokemons and there were official Pokemons. The first Pokemon that a trainer get was called an official Pokemon and official Pokemon may be different from starter Pokemons.
Normally, starter Pokemons are guarded by starter families. Johto also had starter families. They were called:
Mega family- for Chikorita
Typh family- for Cyndaquil
Gatr family- for Totodile.
So, Axel assumed that he would not get a starter Pokemon at the registration office. However, Elm was a different case. Elm was the most renowned researcher in the Johto region. So, he would have starter Pokemons with him.
Axel seemed to have lucked out today.
Of the 3 starters, Axel actually liked Typhlosion. Cyndaquil was the Pokemon that he would choose while playing the game. However, he realized that he already had Charizard which was very powerful right now.
So, he didn't see the immediate need to get a fire-type Pokemon. He also had Gyarados but it was not a starter. Starter Pokemons were normally more powerful than normal Pokemons.
He could see 4 Totodiles jumping in joy. Totodile was a funny Pokemon. It loved to play pranks and it had very good dodging ability.
After looking at all of their stats, Axel selected one.
"I choose you!!", said Axel.
That Totodile happily came towards him to give a big hug. Axel gave a hug to the Totodile
"Hey, don't bite me okay.", said Axel teasing it.
Totodile had a very huge bite force. Axel was in elemental rank but even he didn't want any risk or bite marks.
Axel threw the master ball and caught it. Axel now had 4 Pokemons with him for the Johto region. He could not use previous Pokemons during the gym battle, elite 4 battle, champion battle, or league battle.
So, he had to start again. He was not worried about it. This Johto region might take some time to complete but Axel had 3 years.
League battles would occur every 2 years and 1 year was still left for the Johto league battle. Axel knew that he could not participate in that league battle but he could in the next.

Coincidentally, all the Totodiles had monstrous potential but he liked this one. It had 'Ice punch' and 'Bite'. This would be handy in the future.
