Battle of Caved Hill

All of them came out of the room and started to discuss.

"So, what do you want to do?", asked Lance to all of them.

"I think it would be beneficial for us to take the deal.", said Kate.

"And why is that?"

"We don't even know if we can find any treasures and we don't have to share resource-type places with them. We already have a resource-type place with us. It is enough for us. So, sharing some resources that we might find is a good deal.", replied Kate.

"Kate is correct. The Pokemons here are also a bit different. They are stronger and faster than normal Pokemons. If we can catch 2 of them, then our team power would increase.", added Ryker.

Axel also wanted to take the deal. He only wanted the resource type place and he already had 2 of them. He might also get fighting-type resource place in the future.

However, he didn't want to catch 2 Pokemons on this island. He already had a team ready for the Johto region. He could catch one if he found something interesting. 

All of them agreed to take the deal and Harry was happy about it.

Harry also provided them new suits that could store more aeus energy in them. They had 71 days left and the north side had the most dense aeus energy.

"Buy an extra amount of potion and antidotes. We must be prepared.", said Axel.

All of them were buying their supplies from the shop. Harry had already warned them that the north side would be dangerous and they must be prepared.

Axel didn't know what type of Pokemon they would be facing but he wanted all of them to be prepared for any scenario. 

They all talked about how they would escape when they faced powerful wild Pokemons. If Axel was the only one going there, then he would have told Alakazam to use 'Teleport' with him but Alakazam could not use 'Teleport' with all of them at a fast speed. It would need some time to do it and the people that are teleporting must remain still. That may be difficult if they were facing strong Pokemons.

Fortunately, Cody and Kate also had Pokemon that could use 'Teleport'. However, they were not as proficient in it like Alakazam or Slowbro of Axel.

"So, I and my Pokemons would try to hold on while all of you will start to teleport. I don't think that we will be meeting anyone who is more powerful than a king rank but it is good to be prepared."

The next day,

After completing their preparations, they were ready to move. The first few hours went perfectly. There was no dense aeus energy or dangerous wild Pokemon but after a few hours, the density of the aeus energy started to increase. 

There was no problem at first but after that, they had to walk slowly and meditate every 2 hours. 

"We have 71 days to go and come back. I thought it was going to be easy.", said Axel.

"Yes, the density of the aeus energy here is very high and we have not spotted any Pokemon group till now.", replied Lance.

"Yes, that is definitely suspicious. I am not liking that one bit.", said Axel seriously. 

There could only be 2 reasons for no wild Pokemons in the forest. Either there were very few to no Pokemons in the forest or this area was the area of a powerful Pokemon. Axel was leaning on the latter.

If it was a group of king-rank Pokemons, then Axel could take care of it but if it was above that, then it would be a problem. Charizard had also used its 'Transform' and he didn't have any trump card left to use. He had Shedinja with him but it was a risky move.

Shedinja had become very powerful right now. Only dark and ghost-type moves could affect it. However, status moves could also give it a run for its money.

They started to move slowly and 2 days passed.

Things were getting weirder by now. They were able to spot some Pokemons here and there but these Pokemons were always hiding or trying to hide. It looked like they were scared of something.

The first resource type place that they would reach would be dragon type resource place and Axel and the group were taking the shortest distance but seeing the area, he wanted to take a long distance to avoid any danger. However, he didn't know if there was any danger in the long distance too. 

He wanted to use Shedinja to scout the area. Shedinja was the fastest Pokemon in his group and it also had many escaping abilities but Shedinja refused to leave his side. It was the knight of Axel so it didn't want to leave him undefended. 

He wanted to use Alakazam for the job but Alakazam was not as fast as Shedinja and it also didn't have any good escaping abilities.

The Mavericks started to move slowly but steadily. They had to look out for any danger too. Harry had already warned them about the north side, so they were taking extra precautions.

As they were walking, they came across a grassy hill that seemed to be divided in the middle. There was a narrow passage in the middle that led to another part of the forest.

That was a surreal sight. The entire hill or mini mountain was covered in green grass and the narrow passage at the middle of the hill looked extremely beautiful and majestic. 

"Nature is quite creative, isn't it?", asked Lance enjoying the view.

"Yes, it is but be careful. I don't like this.", replied Axel.

"Come on, ease up for once. You are always so serious.", complained Lance. 

Others also started to make mild jokes about Axel.

It was already post-evening. The sun was coming down and the Mavericks were deciding on the place to camp. 

"Let's cross this hill and then we will set camp.", said Axel. The group agreed to Axel's decision.

As they were reaching the narrow passage, suddenly something amazing happened. The whole hill started to glow in pink color. Kate was amazed to see such a beautiful scene but she heard a loud voice from Axel which disturbed her moment.

"Fall Back, Fall BACK right now!!!", shouted Axel. Everyone became stiff and serious and all of them started to run back. 

As they ran back, they heard some screams from the back. Kate looked back and saw that the glowing pink light was not a natural phenomenon. It was actually a Pokemon.

It was a Pokemon that resembled a large mushroom. It had a slim, white body, similar to a stalk, and a large purple mushroom cap on its head. It had black eyes with pale green half-circle markings on the outer sides and a thick, black mouth. The ends of its long, thin arms split into three pale green filaments that act as fingers. The lower part of its body and stubby feet were covered in a fluffy pink substance. The mushroom cap on its head had a fluffy pink rim, pale green bumps on top, and a pale green, gilled underside. 

It was Shiinotic

"What the hell is that?", shouted Frank seeing such a monstrosity.

"It is Shiinotic. It is a grass/Psychic type Pokemon. This is going to be a problem.", said Axel.

Shiinotic was a grass/psychic type Pokemon and it was only 3 feet tall. Normally, it was a powerful Pokemon. A Pokemon like Charizard could easily defeat it. But the problem was their number. The whole hill was covered by Shiinotic. 

"Light, how many Shiinotic are we facing?", asked Axel.

"80 of them. 17 of them are in uncommon rank, 25 of them are in rare rank, 20 of them are in elemental rank, 15 of them are in pseudo king rank and 3 of them are in king rank. All of the king-rank Pokemon are in tier 1."

"That is a lot of Shiinotics. Damn! What are they doing here?", shouted Lance.

Axel saw that all of his teammates were surprised to see the scene. Facing 80 wild Pokemons together was not a joke no matter how weak they were. He knew that he had to take command of it.

"All of you. As a leader, I am taking command now. Let's first back up a bit and call off your Pokemons.

Lance call out your Dragonair to take the lead. If you have any Pokemon that could heal the status condition, tell them to come back. Call all your King rank Pokemons and those who could use the domain to come at the front. Other Pokemon should go back.", shouted Axel.

During such distress, the voice of Axel was like a light in darkness. All of them followed the order.

"Kate, tell your Charizard to use your pre-domain move. Charles, go close to Charizard, and others move to the side. Meg and Mamoswine, use your pre-domain type move and start to attack....."

Axel started to give a bunch of orders. He was very afraid of this situation right now. The problem with Shiinotic was not that it had a powerful attack or it was fast. The problem with Shiinotic was its spores-type attack. It could release spores with multiple effects that could make the target poisoned, paralyzed, or fall a sleep. If this was done by a single Shiinotic then it was not a problem. However, there were 80 Shiinotics on that hill and all of them could use that move. 

The thing that Axel dreaded the most happened instantly. All the Shiinotics started to release spores with different types of effects. Charles was near Kate Charizard and it had used its pre-domain move. While using it, the place instantly turned hot and its surroundings started lit on fire. Megalania and Mamoswine also started to use their pre-domain move and started to attack.

Axel believed that by using their pre-domain move, they would be able to block those spores to some extent. 

Charles used 'Sunny day' and 2 balls of light came out of its mouth and the dark night turned bright as day. With the effect of Kate's Charizard's domain, its power had been heightened. It also used 'Dragon dance' just in case. It opened its mouth and fired up a full power 'Flamethrower' towards the uncommon rank Shiinotics.

Axel had given the order to reduce their number as fast as possible. Fire was also one of its weaknesses, so Axel was confident that most of them to turn to ashes. The firepower of Charles could not be underestimated one bit.

The fire immediately covered a quarter of the hill and Axel smiled for the first time. However, his smile turned to horror when he saw the result. 

Charles had fired up that 'Flamethrower' to uncommon rank Pokemons but none of them had died. It looked like there was not even a scratch on them. How was this possible?

That was a full-powered 'Flamethrower' of a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon. The group also saw the result and none of them could believe it. Was there some sort of barrier that could block the attack? There was not. Axel made sure to check it.

'System!! What the hell is happening?', asked Axel in his mind.

'Damn it! This is not the time for games. I am really going to die here!!!', shouted Axel.

But the system didn't respond to it. Axel could only suck it up. Since the system had said that he could check the move description of other Pokemons too, he tried it.

He first used 'Identify' on all the 3 king-rank Pokemons. All of them had at least one new move that Axel had not heard about. Then he used his power of psychic and aura together with 'Identify' to see the move description.

Arceus seemed to be on his side as he was able to see the move description. He could not see the level of the move but he could see the move description. When he saw the move description, he shouted out loud.

"THE FUCK IS THAT!!!"
