564 Alakazam Vs Blaziken
Next day,
"Welcome to the 5th day of the Blaze Pokemon competition. Today we are moving towards king-rank Pokemons.", said Agnes.
The crowd cheered with enthusiasm. King-rank Pokemons were the main highlights of the competition. It was very rare to even see a king-rank Pokemon but they could see them fight. Most of them could only see king-rank Pokemons during the battle of Elite 4 and the champion and it was very hard to get a seat during that time.
"Now, most of you know that they were tiers from king rank Pokemon. Tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3. We have separated the tiers. First battle would be between tier 1 king rank Pokemons."

The battle sequence was decided.

2. Dragonite Vs Charizard
3. Alakazam Vs Blaziken.
The first battle was between Mamoswine and Blastoise. Hymer was looking at this battle with great concentration. Hymer had already lost against Axel 2 times and he didn't want to lose again.
The battle started with a bang. Mamoswine had great defense and its special defense was lacking. It used moves like 'Rain dance' and some ice-type moves to battle Blastoise. However, this Blatoise was very powerful. Hymer didn't lie when it said that this was its best Pokemon. It had high defense and offense. It also had high special attacks. It also had new moves that it used to dominate the battle.
Finally, Mamoswine used 'Tusk form'. It was a powerful move and it had leveled up greatly. Blastoise was hit by the attack and it was thrown off the ground. It heavily crashed. Everyone had thought that the battle was over but it was not.
Blastoise stood with multiple injuries and it started to fight again. It had a great will to win and it did.
Hymer was happy that Axel had lost this battle. What he didn't know was that Mamoswine had just ranked up to king rank while Blastoise had been a king-rank Pokemon for some time now.
The second battle was between Dragonite and Charizard. The battle was long cause Dragonite had a good defense and Charizard was also not willing to lose. However, Charizard won after using its 'Pre domain' move. Its fire-type moves had been upgraded a little since the last time Axel saw it.
The next battle was between Alakazam and Blaziken.
Now, Alakazam was not stilling idle while others were ranking up to tier 2. Axel looked at its stats after a long time.

2 of its stats were already over B rank but it had still failed to reach tier 2. At first, Axel thought that a Pokemon would reach tier 2 if one of their stats reached B rank. But he seemed to be wrong. There seems to be no proper calculation from which a Pokemon would reach tier 2 or even tier 3.
Then he started to think. Was this because Alakazam was a shadow Pokemon in the past? This might be true. So, how was he going to rank them up?
"Let the battle begin!!!"
Blaziken started with a powerful 'Blaze kick' all around the place. Its speed was very fast. Alakazam knew that it would not be able to fight Blaziken physically so, it dodged a lot of attacks and then proceeded to use 'Rain dance' and 'Calm mind'.
By using 'Rain dance' the power of fire type move would decrease a lot. If the move was level 40 and above, the move would have even more effect.
It could subconsciously use 'Calm mind' to power itself but the effect of that was too low. After using 'Calm mind', it's special attack and special defense increased a lot.

It could use the move very fast, so it was able to use it 2 times during the battle. Alakazam seemed to saving a lot of moves as it didn't want to reveal all its cards but the battle was getting harder.

Even though Blaziken had a fire core, it was also a fighting-type Pokemon. It knew many fighting-type moves and this made Alakazam difficult to use the moves.
It now had a move that could increase its speed to a high level.

Greater Telekinesis (Alakazam): (Level 40): With this Alakazam could change the direction of attack with air pressure.
(Level 45): It would now also be able to create a vacuum around the opponent making the unable to breathe.
(Level 50): Alakazam could use the burst of speed as a short teleportation to teleport from one place to another during the battle.

When 'Greater Telekinesis' reached Level 50, Alakazam could use the power of air and wind to increase its speed to a high level. It was like a short teleportation. It was not exactly teleportation. It was just a high-speed move and it could be used repeatedly.
However, since it was a high-speed move, it consumed considerable stamina. So, Alakazam could not use it for a long time.
Alakazam gave a huge roar and then electric arcs covered all over its body. It started to form like an armor and shortly, the whole body of Alakazam was covered with this electric armor. The trainers were shocked to see this.

"First, this Venusaur, and now this Alakazam. How many hidden cards does Axel have?", asked Hymer with confusion.
Venusaur was a beast. Hymer had never seen such a talented Pokemon. It had modified a lot of its moves to its advantage and it also had a new move that could cover itself with wooden thorns. It had also a very good recovery ability and that was the reason why Sceptile lost so bitterly. If that was not enough, it ranked up during the critical time of the battle.
And now there was this Alakazam
The group has seen it move so fast. It was also using 'Rain dance' which was unusual for a psychic-type Pokemon. And now it had covered itself in an electric-like armor and that armor looked very solid and strong.
"Alakazam is the first Pokemon that Axel had caught. It had been with Axel for nearly a decade. So, it is bound to be powerful.", replied K. K knew the history of Axel and Alakazam.
"But this is just too much. Do these modified moves grow on trees? How could so many of his Pokemons have so many modified moves? I just don't get it.", said Hymer.
"That is because Axel and his Pokemons train very hard. He is also very talented. We don't come close to his training schedule.", replied Lance who was also surprised to see the battle.
"I also train hard. I train every day.", protested Hymer.
"And I do too but Axel trains more than that. I have heard of his training schedule and none of us could come close to that hellish training and it is every day."
Hymer had met Lance a couple of times and he knew how arrogant Lance was. He also knew that Lance would not praise someone without any reason or proof. He started to get interested in Axel's character.

(Level 65): The swords, shield, armors could be made in perfectly solid form. Can also make chains to grapple the enemy.

Now the armors could be in solid form. Blaziken delivered a powerful flaming kick to Alakazam. It also wanted to test the armor of its opponent but it was shocked.
It was literally a shock. The armor was made of electric current. It was also mildly paralyzed. This was due to 'Rain dance' too.
The armor cracked a little but it was again repaired within a few seconds.
Alakazam then used 'Water bullets' continuously'. It also used 'Thunder' and 'Thunder bolt' and after 5 minutes the battle ended.
'Water bullets' had also leveled up nicely and it was very deadly now.

So, it didn't give its all and lost the battle.

This time Alakazam was lucky.

The battle was fierce. Charizard was weak to water type attack and it was at a disadvantage. However, it didn't let Blastoise take advantage of it. Charizard immediately used its 'Blaze' and then used its domain move. Blastoise also used its pre-domain move and both of them started to fight.
The crowd was excited to see such a big battle. After 15 minutes of battle, Blastoise won. Axel could tell that Blastoise was more experienced than Charizard but Charizard had a lot of firepower. If Charizard was not weak to water-type attacks, it might have won this battle.

Blastoise was given 30 minute break. Meanwhile, Agnes was successful in advertising Momo to the crowd. After the advertisement, the crowd had a huge line in the shop. The sales of the shop skyrocketed.
Everyone was loving the Momo. The taste was unique and it was also very filling. Some of them also packed it for home.

Hymer had to win this battle. His Blastoise had to win. Sceptile had lost and Aggron had also lost the battle. Blastoise was his best Pokemon. He wanted it to be the winner of the king rank tier 1 section.
He also knew that Alakazam was not an easy cookie. Meanwhile, Axel was confident that Alakazam would win it.
