20 Chapter 18
Mountains that have steps fell in front of our faces, the beautiful sight of harmony of nature and human civilization created these mountains, it was said that there was a time where humans and pokemon made these mountains
Into what it is now but now we can only see about 2/ 3 human civilization on a mountain for some reason there was a foreign Pokemon who disrupted the harmony of both Pokemon and humans in the end broke apart and lived in their groups said Pokemon and humans although the situation mellowed through the times it can be said that there is still a divide between the groups
"Hey guys do you think capturing a Rhyhorn would help me?"
asked Herbert for the same reason that he saw a herd of Rhyhorn
"…Probably, i mean rock types are sturdy in the first place"
Jacob comments while seeing a particular geodude through his spyglass
"Hmm, if you are going to get a Rhyhorn it has to have the rock head ability"
I said while looking at the herd seeing a particular group of Rhyhorn's
"Why? I mean lightning rod is far more useful"
" The line in the first place is not a special attacker and i can see a particular Rhyhorn who probably has an egg move"
"…??? How the heck do you know that?"
"hmm, it has this particular arrogance that i see at most of the pokemon who battled me as a bug catcher"
"And what type of particular pokemon is that?"
"Dragon type"
"Dragon type?"
"Yes, Dragon type"
Herbert looked at the pokemon i was staring at and sees a particular Rhyhorn arrogantly smashing a cliff side
"…Yeah, i can see that it has the arrogance but how do you know that it has an egg move dragon type?"
"Oh it's going to happen anytime soon and you'll see what i am talking about"
Herbert just nodded at my words while someone came back and excitedly pointed at another hill
"Guys! Help me get a geodude!"
"Geodude? Why?"
"…???"
Jacob describes to me that he was looking in an app called pokemon and Types and he saw a particular geodude who for some reason can be rarely seen in a group of geodude
"Huh? Sure, let's go there while Herbert observes his pokemon"
In one of the rare caves in the mountain terraces there, i saw a particular geodude with protruding black spines?? And i know what kind of geodude it was
"Okay i kind of know how you can tame that geodude but you have to be stronger than it"
"I know i'm stronger than it and because i know its weak right now"
"Hehe, you lucky bastard, because of the environment isn't it?"
"Yeah, since there is only a small amount of iron sands in these hills its pretty weak"
"Okay, we will try to convince that geodude then"
We approached the geodude and they responded with vigilance, which i applaud for the same reason that we might be dangerous and kill all of them. Of course, it didn't end there because Jacob somehow convinced the geodude with his group of morpekos electricity
The group of geodude was glad that the geodude was able to find a trainer and i can imagine why. Anyway, i tried to look at their stash and found some items that could help me and my Pokemon so i tried to trade with the group
And lo and behold i found a few bug gems, a low-grade metal coat, and a low-grade black augurite, although i saw a few evolutions stones the geodude didn't want to trade them. Anyway, in exchange for the items i got, i gave them berries and food
After that successful trade, we were almost back to where Herbert but i saw a pokemon that intrigued me
"Is that a scyther?"
"Yes, do you want to go ahead or go with me"
"You plan to catch that one?"
"Yes"
"…Ill go with you"
We somehow got to a part of the hill where i spotted the scyther who is trying to cleave the mountainside, there i saw the scyther resting with another scyther who appeared to be in a burned state
"Hey, scyther!"
"Scy?!!"
Both the scyther were ready for a battle but the one who is in a weak state couldn't move and just looked at the healthy scyther
"I can help the other scyther but you guys have to join in my journey to get strong"
"Scy?? Scyther ther?"
The healthy scyther looked at my Dewpider and raised an eyebrow.
"Pi, Dew Dewpider"
The scyther seemed unconvinced so i let the other 3 come out
The healthy scyther questioned the other 3 and just sang praises to me after the conversation the scyther seemed to ease its vigilance and let me get closer to the other scyther
Of course, i healed the scyther after which the 'female' scyther passed out, and the 'male' scyther issued a challenge to me which i gladly accepted since i cant show them that i was taking it easy with my pokemons training besides the scyther line is a warrior species so it's not weird that they don't like a weak trainer who will be their future masters
"Dewpider show em how to fight!"
"Piiiii!!!!"
Dewpider shouted his entrance and prepared Aqua ring as his entrance
Scyther used a quick attack which almost disrupted Arche's aqua ring but my Dewpider was trained for these situations and just ducked and completed the move, arche fired a bubble beam at the back of Scyther which successfully hit
Which was followed up by a sticky web to reduce scyther movement speed
Scyther successfully dodged the sticky web and tried to use cut then followed with a wing attack but that was a big mistake because arche was trained to defend against wing attacks and most flying moves
Arche responded to the wing attack with a sticky web and made Scyther immobilize who was about to use cut but arche is faster and launched a lot of string moves… which were wrapped around Scyther's whole body this caused Scyther to be permanently immobilized since he can't use any of his scythes
I know for myself that this technique is used to reprimand and make Pokemon immobilized until i either catch them or immobilize them wholly, although it won't work for most fire type pokemon and strong Pokemon at my stage, it is enough to get the pokemon i wanted or wanted not to move
Scyther surrendered and let me capture him, of course, without dilly dally i threw my Poke ball and got him without any beeping sound of course i let him out and waited for the female scyther to wake up before capturing her
Which took until 6 pm… anyway getting both the scythers, me, and Jacob saw Herbert still looking at the Rhyhorn
"Okay, i've decided ill get the Rhyhorn"
"Okay, we'll help you divert the attention of the group so you have to get the Rhyhorn as fast as you can"
"Mm"
"Good luck, herbert"
"Thanks, Jacob and thanks Arth"
