27 Ch16: A Mysterious Pokemon

Wes having Espeon, on his back, like Ash from the anime had his Pikachu, reached Bills house. If you could call it a house. The building looked more like a laboratory or something similar. Wes knocked on the door. After a bit of wait, someone shouted from inside.

???: It's UNLOCKED COME IN.

Wes was confused for a bit, because he could discern a weird squeak sound, a rat could make in the voice.

" Why is there a squeak???? If i remember correctly Bill has transformed himself into a Cleffairy, in the games. Wait a... minute. In the adventures manga, Bill had transformed into a Rattata and was captured by a Fearow to be eaten. Red had to save him or else he would have turned into bird food "

Wes after clearing his confusion, finally entered. He still had his newly evolved Espeon on his shoulders. Bill in the games was a very well known Pokemon collector. He was also the person, that created the PC Pokémon storage system in the Pokemon Centers, were the player could store their Pokemon. Also he had a very soft spot for Eevee and its evolutions and in the Gen 2 games and their remakes, he would gift the player with a free Eevee. So he thought, that if Bill saw his Espeon, he could get an extra prize.

???: Hello can you help me please.

Wes immediately after entering was greeted by a speaking Ratata.

Wes: Whaaaaaaat??? A talking Pokemon!!!!!!!!!

Wes acted full of shock. He couldn't afford to explain himself if he acted normal. This would have rised suspicions on Bill about him.

Bill: No No. I am Bill. There was an accident in one of my projects and i was fused with this Rattata.

Bill spoke to Wes full of panic. If Wes didn't help him, he didn't know when his next chance to return to normal would come

Wes: Ok i got it. So what should i do????

Bill: Come with me i and i will tell you.

Wes then followed, the Rattata transformed Bill in a lab room. Inside Wes saw the same machine, that could be seen from the games.

Bill: So when i enter the right door, you will go to my computer and press the reverse and then on the next window that pops up press the OK button. The machine will do the rest.

Wes: I understand. Lets begin.

With the confirmation from Wes, Bill entered inside the right capsule. Wes did exactly as Bill told him. The weird machine started afterwards making some weird sounds. After a minute the weird sounds stopped and suddenly the door of the left capsule opened and a man in a blue shirt and brown trousers came out of it. Then the man moved towards the right capsule and opened its door. A scared Rattata immediately came out of it.

Bill: Thank you very much. You saved me a lot of trouble.

Wes: Its no problem. But what happened.

Wes asked trying to learn what Bill plans to do with this experiment.

Bill: Oh I'm trying to create a Pokeball transfer system. With it the trainer will be able to have, some of his Pokemon in a trusted place. He would also be able to take whenever he wants and in whatever place he is, that Pokemon from that place. This will be able to make the trainers all over the world, have less Pokemon they take care of at the same time, while he can call at any time the ones he needs. What a pity that, while i was testing an accident happened and i fused with this Rattata.

Wes: I see.

Bill: Whatever. I see you have an Espeon. This should be a good gift for helping me.

Then Bill gave Wes a weird brown crystal. Wes with his system immediately identified what that crystal was. It was an Eevium Z. An Eevee specific crystal that allows, an Eevee with the Last Resort Move, to use the Z-Move Extreme Evoboost. A move that increases the user's Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats by two stages each. Extreme Evoboost will be unable to increase a stat that is already at +6; if all stats are at +6, Extreme Evoboost can still be executed, but will be unable to increase any stat.

Extreme Evoboost is a Z-Move, rather than a Z-Power Effect added on to an existing status move, and therefore interacts with move-modifying effects such as Simple and Contrary normally.

This made Eevee a very disgusting and broken Button Passer. Also if the Pokemon that Eevee passed her stats too, knew the Stored Power Move, that Move would be able to reach 220 Power just like that. Eevee also gets that Move so after the Boost, it is Eevee's primary means of attacking in situations, where it needs to attack on its own, such as against a Mega Gengar, to stop it from using Perish Song or Taunt, against  Toxapex to stop its use of the Haze Move. It can also be used against Mimikyu if you wanted to break its Disguise before your main sweeper comes in to sweep the whole enemy team.

Wes: Thanks for the gift.

Bill could cleary hear the excitement in Wes's voice.

Bill: So what are your plans?

Wes: I plan to visit the Power Plant to catch a certain Electric Type Pokemon i want. Then i will immediately go to Vermilion City to challenge its Gym Leader.

Bill: I see. Then i have a proposal. How about we use my boat to get to the Power Plant together. I will do some research on the area while you can capture the Pokemon you want. My Eevolutions can also help your Espeon train or learn a new Move. Then i can take you by Sea, to Vermilion City.

Wes: Thanks. But won't i be a burden for you?

Wes asked Bill with concern about that part.

Bill: Not at all. Its the least, i can do for my saviour. Who knows how long, i would have to be a Rattata, if you hadn't helped me.

Wes: Ok then. I'm in.

Then Wes gone outside to train his Pokemon for a bit, while Bill was preparing for the trip. Then when Bill finished his Preparations, the duo left for the Abandoned Power Plant.

When they reached their destination. They set up camp outside. Then they split up inside the Power Plant. After the split up, Wes immediately checked his system about the Pokemon that can be found in this area.

Abandoned Power Plant:

Voltorb: Very common LV 1-29

Magnemite: Very Common LV 1-29

Pikachu: Common LV 1- 31

Elekid: Common LV 1-29

Grimer: Rare LV 1-30

Koffing: Rare LV 1-30

Electrode: Very Rare LV 30-35

Magneton: Very Rare LV 30-35

Electabuzz: Ultra Rare LV 30-37

Zapdos: Resting Place LV ???

Wes eye had immediately caught the description on the rarity of Zapdos and he asked the system about what this Resting Place tag means.

Resting Place: The Pokemon with this tag, is a Pokemon that constantly moves/ migrates in different places. The areas were such a Pokemon rests and can be found has this tag. Note that the Pokemon with this tag, in order to find it must be in the area.

" Ok i got it. Ok time to find a good Magnemite."

Then Wes started searching in the Abandoned Power Plant for a good Magnemite. While searching Wes used his Espeon, Umbreon and Ivysaur to fight against wild Pokemon. Ivysaur especially, since he would be a key Pokemon against LT. Surge. After many bellow average Magnemite Wes finally found one that fitted with his team perfectly.

Magnemite: LV 24 Ability: Magnet Pull Item: no

Moves: Tackle, Supersonic, Gravity (Baby), Shock Wave (Baby), Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Magnet Bomb, Light Screen, Magic Coat (Tutor), Sonic Boom, Discharge (Tutor), Mirror Shot.

Potential Hidden Power: Fire Type

When Magnemite reaches its final evolution its posible for it to learn Mirror Coat. Also Magnezone is one of the most powerful Steel Type Pokemon that aren't Legendary. This Magnemite LV was also at the upper side, of all the Pokemon in his team, so he didn't need to spend a lot of time training it, to catch up with the rest of the team. Wes also checked for its potential Hidden-Power Type, since the Steel Type trapper build of Magnezone must have a Hidden-Power-Fire in its Movepool.

In order for Wes to find a Magnemite that satisfied all his conditions, he had to pass through more than 200 Magnemite's. He had even met 2 Sniny Magnemite's in the process. Wes also felt very lucky, because this Magnemite already new 3 Psychic Type Moves. So it looked like this Magnemite has a talent for the Psychic Type and it would be easier for it to learn, the Mirror Coat Move. The reason as to why Wes was so fixated in this, was the sets he was using in the real world for Magnezone:

(Magnezone Gen 4 Shuca Berry

Ability: Magnet Pull

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Modest Nature

- Thunderbolt

- Hidden Power Fire

- Mirror Coat

- Flash Cannon

Magnezone Gen 5 Air Balloon

Ability: Magnet Pull

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Modest Nature

- Thunderbolt

- Hidden Power Fire

- Sunny Day

- Mirror Coat).

Wes: Ok. Charmeleon this is yours.

Wes called out his Charmeleon for this battle.

Wes: Charmeleon Ember.

Charmeleon lunched an Ember, towards the wild Magnemite. The Magnemite dodged to its right and counter attacked by using its Gravity Move. Suddenly a strange forcefield appeared on the surrounding area, puting pressure on Wes and Charmeleon's bodies. Then Magnemite realised a wave of condensed electric energy. Its Shock Wave Move (Animation from DPP).

Wes: Charmeleon Protect then Ember.

Charmeleon was immediately enveloped by a green protective dome that blocked Magnemite's Shock Wave Move. Then Charmeleon lunched its Ember attack again hiting the Magnemite this time. As Magnemite got hit, it withstood and counter attacked with Its Sonic Boom Move.

Wes: Dodge then Ember.

Charmeleon tried to dodge immediately after it received its order, but because of the pressure from the Gravity field, Magnemite had created, it didn't react fast enough and got hit. Charmeleon took 20 direct damage to its HP. Charmeleon counter attacked with its Ember Move. Magnemite still affected from the previous hit took the hit directly and fainted. Wes threw his Pokeball and Magnemite was caught.

At around 19:00 the sun was almost completely down and night was approaching very fast, Wes stoped his training and met with Bill outside at their camp. After they cooked and ate their feal, Wes and Bill summoned their Pokemon. Bill had called out an Eevee and all its evolutions. Then they started training until 22:00 when they stopped to rest. They would continue tomorrow.

Early in the morning both Bill and Wes jumped out of their sleeping bags to a:

???: GYAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!!!

Both Wes and Bill run out of their tents, only to feal the wind striking forcefully, their bodies. Their Pokemon had their eyes locked towards the roof of the Abandoned Power Plant. Wes and Bill looked towards that direction and were immediately shocked at what they saw.

A majestic bird Pokemon around 1.60 meters or more. That Bird Pokemon was almost completely yellow except some black parts on its tail and wings. Its wingspan was huge and the black colouring on top of the yellow made it look like it had four wings instead of two. It also had a very huge beak and very sharp talons and electric currents could be seen coursing through its whole body. It was the embodiment of lightning, the Legendary Pokémon Zapdos.

Wes immediately scanned with his Pokedex, to get the sighting data for professor Oak and with his system to see its summary.

Zapdos: male LV 72 Ability: Pressure Item: no

Moves: Peck, Thunder Shock, Defog (Baby), Signal Beam (Baby), Hidden Power-Fire (Baby), Fly (Baby) Whirlwind (Baby), Thunder Wave, Detect, Shock Wave (Tutor), Pluck, Ancient Power, Laser Focus (Tutor), Charge, Agility, Thunderbolt (Tutor), Discharge, Rain Dance, Sky Attack (Tutor), Light Screen, Drill Peck.

"What a beast. This is amazing. Also LV 72!!!"

Wes was shocked and mesmerized at looking at one of his favourite Pokemon. Zapdos was the first ever Legendary Pokémon he had met in the games. Bill on the other hand, was trembling and totally afraid of what he was seeing.

Zapdos took a look at them and their Pokemon. And without any interest on them, it flew away steering powerful winds as it was flying. It took at least half an hour for them to calm down. Bill broke the silence first.

Bill: Wha...a.aa.aaa.aat wa..aa.as that???

Wes: That was the Legendary Pokémon Zapdos.

Before Wes said that, while he took a look at his Pokedex, to make it seam like, he knew that from it.

Bill: Legendary Pokémon!!! I can't believe it. Wait a minute. Maybe the reason this place has so much electricity stored, even though its abandoned, its because of Zapdos.

Wes: Yes maybe that's the truth.

After continuing their conversation for a bit, Wes and Bill didn't separate themselves like they did yesterday. Bill was doing His research full of excitement, at the data he would get after the visit of Zapdos. While Wes trained his Pokemon. Umbreon and Charmeleon were especially active and it felt like they were giving 500% of their all, in this training than usual. Both of them were the Pokemon in the team that liked training the most. So Wes seeing them puting even more to it than usual, was quite shocked. The training continued until late at night. Meanwhile a certain someone reached Vermilion City during the night.
