Chapter 3

The next day came as the day had finally come to when gets his promised present from 4 months ago.

As he got up and looked at the time.

"Well looks like we both going late" Art said as he looked at the time which is 11:30 when Prof. Oak said that they should be there at 10.

"*Sigh* Time to wake up that idiot" Art said as he got up and went to Ash's room door.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Ash wake up, we're late" Art said but ash didn't respond.

"Ash were late to get our Pokémon from prof. Oak" Art said and immediately Ash opened the door with a worried face.

"Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" Ash said while hurrying to the bath room and quickly fixed himself.

After both taking a bath they ate breakfast but Ash has a worried look on his Face.

After eating we then walked towards Prof. Oaks lab as they see Gary waiting for them at the door.

"HAH! Look who's late Ash" Gary taunted ignoring the fact that Art is late also.

"What kind of Pokémon did you get? Can I see?" Ash said excitedly.

Gary then said "Why would I let a loser like you know my Pokémon?" he said with Arrogance.

"You picked squirtle didn't you?" Art said as Gary just looked at him In a bit of disbelief that he knew exactly what kind of Pokémon was in poke ball.

"Wha- how did you know?" Gary looked at Art with a shock face since he know Art could easily guess what's on his mind set but he thought it would take more time for him to guess.

"Secret" Art said with a closed eye smile.

Gary then left with his cheerleaders as Art and Ash goes to where Prof. Oak had said to meet him.

"Prof. Oak were here" Art said as him and Ash then walked in the room with Ash excited but not as before.

"Ah, finally you two are here! I'm sorry Ash but the three Kanto starters have been selected by other trainers though I have one for you though it may not be a good idea for you to pick it" Prof. Oak said but Ash being Ash who wanted to become a Pokémon master/trainer.

"I'll take it Professor, even if it's weak I'll train it to become strong! Art told me how to train some Pokémon so it should be alright I think?" Ash said with an Enthusiastic tone but said the last part with a bit of doubt.

"All right, oh Art I almost forgot your present but I managed to get A squirtle for you it hatched a few months ago, and it's from Champion Red and My other grandson Blue's Blastoise mating with each other" Prof. Oak said enthusiastically but the shock on Arts face can be clearly seen.

[{A/n - they never specified the genders of their Pokémon so I made it like this}]

'How many Pokémon whose parents are around champion level am I gonna get?' Art thought as he knew that getting Pokémon to champion level is really hard and would take years to train them there but for Art? Let's just say that he can make some special food that is really nutritious and he's also planning on increasing the training of his Pokémon later on.

Pro. Oak gave Art the poke ball of the squirtle and let it out.

In front of him is of course a tiny blue turtle Pokémon with a strong expression.

Art looked the Squirtle stats with his Phone dex as Prof. Oaks eyes glimmered.

"You know I'm really glad that you give me an idea to the new Poke dex as your idea of the phone dex was really a genius idea" Prof. Oak praised even though Art doesn't really like praises that are just words but everytime he does something new Prof. Oak is always surprised at how useful the things Art comes up with.

Art then checked the squirtle's stats and he wasnt really that shocked since it is the child of two champion level Pokémon or over.

Level - 10

Female

Abilities - Rain dish, Torrent

Moves - Aqua Jet, Life dew, Aqua ring, Withdraw and Water gun]

'Already level ten I guess prof. Oak has trained this one a bit' Art thought as he knelt down and face the Turtle Pokémon.

"Do you wanna come with me?" Was all Art said as he stared at the eyes of the Young squirtle who also looked back at him as she stared at his eyes not backing down but eventually gave up as Art had basically said that if she comes with him she'll become strong.

"Looks like I'll be taking her professor" Art said as he smiles at the professor while holding the Squirtle on both of his hands.

Prof. Oak nods as he then pressed a button and a poke ball appeared from where the 3 Pokémon starters poke balls were as in the middle was a poke ball.

Prof. Oak picked up the poke ball and let out a Chubby electric mouse Pokémon.

{Pika?} it said as it looked at it surroundings and sees Prof. Oak and Ash in front of it.

As Ash was marveling the pokemon art had checked its stats.

[Pikachu

Electric

Ability - Static, Lightning Rod (Locked)

Moves - Thundershock,quick attack, thunder(locked), thunderbolt(locked)]

'no need to tell me that that's a strong Pikachu' Art thought as he then kept looking at the clearly talented Pikachu as he looked at its Bst as it had the same base stats as partner Pikachu which surprised him a bit but he had always suspected it though.

*Angy electric mouse noises*

Art then sees Prof. Oak and Ash getting shocked as he just face palmed at how sometimes these two are really stupid, though Ash is a bit slow but he isn't that much of an idiot.

After Getting their Pokémon from Prof. Oak Daisy came by and said.

"Visit us sometimes okay?" Daisy said as she looked at Art with bit of a glare.

"Y-yeah, Anyways how's that grooming school you or something you were applying for?" He replied.

"Oh! I got in so don't worry I'll call you sometimes with the new invention you made" Daisy said as she pulled a Special phone made by Art as a present for her 16th birthday.

"Alright just don't over do it okay?" Art said with a smile as Daisy just pouted at him.

"I'm not a little kid you know!" She replied a bit mad well because he's basically the only one whose nice to her since she was the only one who didn't want to become a trainer but a groomer but technically being a Pokémon groomer and trainer is basically the same things as you can get money with winning Pokémon battles and grooming Pokémon.

"Alright, alright just do what's you think is best for you" Art said smiling at her which made her blush.

He then looked at Ash then said.

"I'll be going ahead make sure you don't get into trouble much" Art said as he ruffled Ash's hair.

"Yeah, yeah I'm not a little kid anymore you know!" Ash said since he still needs to pack his things.

"Just making sure you got what I'm always trying to teach you" Art said as he waved everyone goodbye as Daisy his Step-mom and some of the towns people that he had helped waved him goodbye.

During the years Art had helped Pallet town quite alot as he introduced new technological advancements to help around while not causing pollution.

Art now arrived in Route 1 as he finds a spot to take a quick break and let out his team.

After letting everyone out Riza immediately hugged him followed by Ryoko as Psychi was too lazy and Victoria being a tsundere princess.

"You know it's only been like an hour or two no need to be this clingy" Art said as he had always Tried to discipline these two to not be overly clingy but always fail but he doesn't mind it much because they listen to him sometimes.

"Well meet our new team member" he said as he held out a poke ball and Let out his new Squirtle.

The Water type then looked at her surroundings as she sees her trainer and 4 strong looking Pokémon in front of her as when she looks at Riza she doesn't even know if she could defeat the Golden Charmander but she'll try her best to protect her Trainer.

"No need to be that cautious they are a part of the team so you can relax around them" Art said while kneeling in front of her and gave her headpat as she calmed down from the calming, soothing, and gentle aura Art was releasing.

"I almost forgot" Art said as he sat down and looked at Squirtle.

"Would you like to have a name? So you have a different identity other than squirtle" Art suddenly said as Squirtle then thinks for a few seconds before nodding her head.

"Alright, your name will be..... Kappa! How does that sound?" he said a bit enthusiastically as Squirtle just shook her head.

"No? Okay let's try... Kurma? You like that one?" Art said as Squirtle thinks for a moment then looked at Art before nodding her head.

"Kurma it is then" He said with a smile as he just petted the water type.

"Okay, now that's settled the reason I called you girls out is because of the training plan I had in mind for you" Art said as he held out a Clipboard with training and healthy diet plans and resting days for each of them.

The girls then looked at the training schedule and saw that it was hard but are determined to do it because their trainer is also training alot harder too but the one who is the most shocked is Kurma she's quite shocked as the training was harder than she imagined but decided to trust her trainer since she was trainer by Prof. Oak by a bit before giving her to Art.

After looking at the schedule Art told them that the training starts tomorrow so he let them all back in their poke balls except Riza since she wanted to guard him if anything Happens.

Off to the road they go.

Trying my best to upload more chapters to compensate and what do you think about this chapter? And the reason for having a squirtle? Because it's basically less used in competitive and I have rarely seen fanfics with a squirtle on their team.
