The Legend

As the intense battle for the crown of Monarch went to its riveting conclusion both Pokémon charged towards each other. Gigantamax Charizard and Z-move Pikachu. None of them intended to back down. Fueled by the excitement, the crowd went utter quiet, not even a gasp escaped them. An intense supremacy struggle ensued for the top of the World. In the pivotal moment, Pikachu's Volt Tackle breaks past Charizard's defenses delivering the final blow and sealing Ash's victory. The crowd erupted in cheers as Ash celebrated in the middle of Arena. Leon, accepting his reign has come to an end congratulated Ash and passed down the title of the Monarch.

After an entire day of rest and recuperation, it was time for the introduction of the new World Champion. In the crowning ceremony, the audience has accumulated for the crowning of the New Monarch. Everyone had nothing but respect for the winning trainer. They knew all the participants gave their best but there could have been only one person who stood on the top. The champions, the rivals, the friends, everyone had their eyes on the World Champion, and amongst the crowd stood Ash Ketchum, the survivor of the legendary power struggle. Ash's mother, his mentor Prof. Oak, and all his friends looked towards him in a sign of respect. He finally achieved what he strived for. Finally, after 8 years of travel, countless battles, new friends and foes, an adventure of a lifetime, after everything, he is the World Champion. The strongest trainer in the championship, the strongest trainer in the region, and the strongest trainer in the World. He became the very best like no one ever was. Or So it seemed...

As Ash stood on the podium, basking in the glory of his victory, enshrined in the Hall of Fame, a sudden loud noise grabbed everyone's attention. The noise seemed like something very heavy crashed into the Stadium and shook it down to its core. The noise came from the top of the stadium right in front of Ash. The entire crowd turned to look for the source of the disturbance and there they saw a mysterious figure...

A man clad in Red, face concealed with a red scarf floating in the air. His cap draped a dark shadow on the remaining of his face. His clothes were rugged, ragged, and dusty, and his body was covered in bruises. He emanates a Chilly aura from just a look. His body posture, piercing gaze, attitude, everything speaks stories about his strength. It doesn't take an expert to tell that this man has been living in an existence of his own. His entire face was hidden but his eyes shone like fire itself. But that wasn't the most fearsome thing about the encounter. The thing that strikes fear in the hearts of watchers was what stood beside him; A Mewtwo.

Yes, he had a legendary Pokémon, Mewtwo himself in his arsenal. *Thang* Thunder began crackling in the sky, and the sun was hidden behind the dark clouds. Even the heavens knew what this encounter symbolized. Soon, Rain started falling but no one moved an inch. They were jammed in their places, the entire Arena was stuck like someone frozen the time. Then, Cynthia slowly stepped forward, towards the railing, a mixture of terror, astonishment, and happiness in her eyes. She spoke barely audible to the rest of the Masters 8 standing beside her, "He's here. I must be dreaming." Even though the people of Galar had no idea who the Man was, they knew he was extraordinary.

The man glanced at the World Champion and his team without uttering a single word. Ash knew what the Man meant and without a single thought, he accepted the challenge.
