7 Chapter 7: Recollecting Information

Now, finally, after a long and hard battle, little charmander returns to his dark cave, signalling the end of his day's journey. 

Entering the cave, the first thing he did was to start a fire with the sticks he picked up along the way. 

Placing the sticks on the ground, he lit them on fire using his burning tail, brightening his surroundings. Throwing the pokemon meat, uhh, corpses aside, he falls down heavily from exhaustion.

As he lies on the ground, he couldn't help but recall his first day in this game world.

Waking up in this world, I was not scared and had no fear. The world outside is extremely dangerous, and being alone puts me at a disadvantage, but with the game system, surviving this world should be a piece of cake. If there was no game system, I'd probably be dead right now, killed by that fat Rattata. 

Since this is the game world, there should probably be a protagonist too. I wonder if it'll be Brendon or maybe Red, but anyway, I should probably find a way out of this forest first before finding that out. Wait, yes, the forest!!

Suddenly thinking of something, he jumps up from his ground bed. Holding his chin, he mutters to himself and gets lost in thinking again. "Char, Char (Rattata, Spearow..)"

Isn't this a beginner Pokemon? If so, I can probably narrow the scope down. So I should be about near Route 101 or maybe Route 1, and the closest towns near these routes should be Oldale Town/Viridian City and the protagonist town, Littleroot Town/Pallet Town. 

Although I cannot be certain of this as the highest level of pokemon encountered on Route 101/Route 1 should have only been about 5 and lower, but the pokemon I've been seeing show far was way above this range.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but feel a headache coming along. Shaking his head, he softly says. "Cha cha char mander. Charman der (Let's forget about this for now, by the way, I haven't checked the system yet. System, open my info)"

Looks like a new function has been added. According to the game, 'Bag' should be a space to store items, medicine, etc... Unknowingly, the basic info viewer also upgraded to level 2. 

By the rate I'm levelling up, I could reach level 10 in about 2 days, maybe even sooner, if lucky.

A sudden feeling of hunger hits his stomach. Turning his head towards the Shiny Spearow, he couldn't help but lick his lips. 

-15 minutes later-

Feeling stuffed, he sat on the ground, holding the last piece of meat, and gently placed it in his mouth. Just as he was enjoying his last Spearow meat, the system prompt went off.

Listening to the system's prompt, Eren was brimming with excitement as he looked at the Flying Gem and Sky Plate Fragment.

Suppressing this feeling, he couldn't help but wonder. Wait, why didn't the prompt go off when I ate that level 2 Rattata? Could it be because its level was lower than mine or that it was not shiny?

Considering there's still a level 7 Rattata here, I could test it with him, but didn't I say I wouldn't eat him and urge his so damn ugly.

Looking at the dead, ugly Rattata bound by the escape rope, Eren shivered. Pulling himself together, he walks forward as confidence appears on his face.

This is definitely going to hurt my stomach.

-5 minutes later-

"Cha man char mander (Wow, that was actually good, but my stomach feels like it's going to burst from fullness)" Digesting the last of its meat, Eren said with difficulty while sitting against the walls of the cave, holding his bloated stomach.

Guess I need to devour pokemon similar to or above my level, but because the rarity of this pokemon is not that of a shiny, so I probably got fewer rewards... Eren smiled happily when he felt the sudden increase in strength. 

But what must he do with a poké ball?

'Yawn'

Feeling sleepy, he lays on the ground, curling himself into a ball and tiredly says. "Char Char man der (Let's continue this tomorrow....)"

While Charmander fell into deep sleep in his cave, outside, the rain started to fall.

'Drip drip drip'

Way above the dark clouds of the night sky, a giant, green snakelike Pokémon can be seen swimming in the sky....

...
