1 Chapter 1: Charmander

-UNKNOWN FOREST-

In a cave, a dragonlike creature could be seen waking up from its slumber.

"Charma (Where am I?)" It asked confusingly as it lifted its head up, looking curiously around with its bright blue eyes.

"Char man (A cave, why am I in a cave?)" It continues with endless questions and confusion.

"Char cha (What's wrong with my voice?)"

"Charchar man (What is this? Where's my hand?)"

"Char charmander (an orange paw, a burning tail, wait what?, a burning tail!!)" Realizing this, it screams with fear, but only chars came out.

But soon, finding out that the flame was not harmful, it calmed down, thought for a while, and then came up with a perfect plan to find out its situation.

Getting up from the ground, it looks around and spots just what it was looking for: a puddle of water lying on the ground just near the entrance of the cave.

Using its stubby little legs, it ran towards the puddle of water. Bending down, it looks at its reflection in the puddle.

Normally, in such a dark cave, not much could be seen, but because the puddle was so close to the entrance, The creature could perfectly see its current form.

"Char char charmander charma (Charmander? Wait..could it be I turned into a charmander??)"The creature looked shocked at first, but slowly became curious as to why it was this way.

That was until a mechanical sound appeared in his mind and a light screen appeared in the air.

[Ding, Welcome to the GBS, also known as the Game Boy System]

"Charm ma (Wait, isn't this the game system from the game I used to play?)"

Looking curiously at this familiar screen that appeared in front of it and hoping that what it thought was correct, it said: "Char cha (System, open game panel.)"

Seeing this, Eren nods to himself, as the panel basically looks the same as the one in the game. The only difference is that its shops are locked and probably won't open until he reaches level 10.

Wait, if it's the same as the game, then will the cheat codes also work the same?

Eren wondered as he looked carefully at the screen, inspecting it for some sort of hidden button, code, or anything he could find that shouted "cheats".

Finding nothing, Eren sighs with disappointment and says, "Cha charm char charma charmander (Guess it does not have a cheating function, but just imagine how wonderful it would have been if I could just say BREAKER and get.)"

[Ding, congratulations for obtaining 5 HP-ups]

[Hp-up: Each Hp-up increases health points by 1]

Seeing this prompt stunned Eren, but soon after, he smiled and thought to himself. I guess the cheat codes do work. Although it is not the same as the game, it works. But shouldn't it be |HEALTH=Hp-up| and |Breaker=Infinite Rare Candy|? So why is |BREAKER=Hp-up|?

"Char (HEALTH)"

[Oran berry: Eating one recovers 10 health points instantly]

Looking at this, Eren felt excited and instantly wanted to say more, but then realised that he only knew those two. In disappointment, he sighs as he looks at the screen floating in front of him.

Considering, he probably will not get another chance to cheat in life, and who knows when this cheating code bug will be fixed? So, since it's still here, let's just milk it till it's dry.

"Char (BREAKER)"

("...")

Feeling embarrassed by this, Eren couldn't help but sigh at how awful life is in its perfect moments.

"Char charm (System, use up all the HP-up)

[Ding, health increased by 5 points]

[Current health = 25/25]

Looking at this, Eren nods with a sense of accomplishment and says while he gets up on his little feet and heads towards the outside of the cave.

"Char charmander (Now, to check what the outside world looks like.)"
