3: Professor oak

....

"The weather feels so good" Leo said as he felt the wind blow through his slightly log black hair..

He calmly walked towards Professor oaks lab, as it was the biggest building in al of pallet town, it was easy to notice.

Leo had even noticed a few youths around his age walking in the same direction, all with the same excited look on their faces.

...

"Which starter should I pick?" Leo thought silently as he walked along the path, taking in the scenery and the occasional sounds of Pokémon in the distance.

"This world isn't a game, and I can still get killed by Pokémon and other humans alike" Leo knew this very well.

In the original story none of these things happened due to it being a kids Show back then.

Leo also knew very well that Pokémon battles wouldn't just be "you hit me then I hit u" like in the games, it required strategy, a bond with your Pokémon, and many other factors.

A Pokémon trainer wouldn't wait for you to attack back just because it's " your turn" it probably wouldn't work that way like in the Games.

And the most important thing Leo knew about this world of Pokémon was that, there were no trash Pokémon, only trash trainers.

..

it wasn't long before Leo reached professor oaks lab, the building was huge and many fences could be seen surrounding it, filled with Pokémon's of all kinds.

Leo was excited as he gasped at each Pokémon he saw, he couldn't wait to get his own.

There were many youths waiting at the front of professor oaks door, but it wasn't long before the door opened and professor oak along with a few of his assistants walked out.

" haha, I see everyone is excited to get their first Pokémon huh? Well, don't just stand there, come in"

Professor oak said as he turned around and went back in, followed by his assistants.

The many youths talked quietly amongst themselves as they walked in, the excitement in their voices couldn't be contained.

Leo was the last person to enter the lab, as he was also the last person to reach the lab.

...

"Come on now, I have three types of starters, charmander the fire type, squirtle the water type, and lastly, bulbasaur the grass type" professor oak said excitedly as he pointed at the three long rows of pokeballs.

In front of the three rows were holographic images of each Pokémon type.

It wasn't long before all the kids chose their Pokémon's, most chose the ones they thought would fit them the most.

Yet when it came to Leo, all the pokeballs were gone..

"Professor oak, there are no more starters left" Leo said as he looked at the empty trays..

"That's strange" one of the assistants thought.

"Ahh, no wonder you are so old, we had only prepared enough starters for those who had signed up earlier" professor oak remembered as he stared at Leo.

"If I remember correctly, you are the son of my friend, your father should be in the back, but before that, follow me, we should have a couple Pokémon left" professor oak said.

The assistants had long since scattered and given each of the new Pokémon trainers a couple pokeballs to start off.
