Under Newgate's guidance, a bunch of adorable Pokémon babies march towards the village.

Among them, some Whitebeard crew members interested in Pokémon put down their work to join in, such as the "Ice Witch" Whitey Bay.

The only female on the Whitebeard Pirates' ship who goes into battle, she isn't a division commander but rather one of the 43 pirate crews under the Whitebeard flag, affiliated as an ally.

As someone from Newgate's era, Whitey Bay isn't young, but she still retains her charm.

Dressed in a pirate hat, wielding a plain rapier, and donning a blue and white striped shirt that extends to her thighs covered by a blue cape, with her lower attire uncertain beyond the black stockings and ice-blue high heels she wears, Dak sees Whitey Bay as a confident individual. Whether it's her strength or beauty, she seems to have a clear understanding of both.

Whitey Bay's target was clear; she headed straight for the snowy Vulpix, sensing the faint chill it radiated with her Observation Haki.

Dak didn't stop Whitey Bay from interacting with Vulpix, thinking if they hit it off, Whitey Bay might become Vulpix's trainer.

Dak thinks they're quite compatible, both having "ice" attributes, though he's not entirely sure what Whitey Bay's "ice" ability entails.

Along the way, the little ones seemed to cluster together due to the crowd, staying close behind Dak.

Perhaps intimidated by the varied and fierce-looking members of the Whitebeard crew, the Pokémon babies were a bit scared.

Of course, not all Pokémon felt this way.

Dak had to hold onto Growlithe's ear to prevent it from running off. Rockruff proudly strode forward, looking every bit the noble little wolf it is. Scraggy looked ready to battle anyone who locked eyes with it.

However, these were exceptions.

Most of the Pokémon babies behaved on their first outing, their eyes filled with curiosity about the outside world.

They looked at the green grass and vast skies, feeling a longing for the world they were just beginning to understand.

Village children, already familiar with the Whitebeard crew, quickly turned their attention to the Pokémon.

They eagerly wanted to play with the cute Pokémon babies, who were just as keen to interact with the kids.

Most Pokémon naturally like children, a trait inherent to them.

"Go on and play, but don't stray too far, especially you, Growlithe," Dak turned and instructed the Pokémon like a kindergarten teacher, gesturing for them to have some free time while signaling Bon Clay, Robin, and the others to keep an eye on them.

While the Pokémon wouldn't encounter any villains on this island dominated by the Whitebeard crew, Dak still worried about the naïve little creatures getting into trouble, like eating brightly colored mushrooms and poisoning themselves, something he could totally see Growlithe doing.

"Growe!" Ignoring Dak's specific warning, Growlithe dashed off, running wild across the vast grasslands.

The other Pokémon, seeing Growlithe having fun, gradually ventured further but stayed within sight of Dak and the group.

The village kids and some Whitebeard crew members followed their favored Pokémon, curious about what interesting actions these magical little beings would take.

Sighing, Dak watched the Pokémon babies scatter, not feeling too sentimental.

As the kids grow and start exploring the world, discovering new things, it's natural for Dak to worry.

Pokémon are simply too innocent.

The people of the pirate world differ from those in the Pokémon world, where most are good-natured, and even the villains rarely harm Pokémon. (T/N: Someone didn't read the manga...)

This world is different.

Shaking his head, Dak thought, You can't always keep Pokémon confined to the shop; they need to see the world.

...

In a field near the village, a snowy Vulpix hops in, sniffing at the crops, curious about the yellow-flowered plants.

Just as Vulpix is about to taste it, Whitey Bay intervenes.

"You shouldn't bite into the hard work of the uncles here," Whitey Bay, despite her age and mature beauty, speaks with a slightly cold tone, resembling a young girl's voice.

Picking up Vulpix, she looks into its eyes as it sprays a fine snow stream at her in protest. Whitey Bay, amused and unfazed, enjoys the cooling sensation, finding a reason for her fondness for the little Vulpix - they both share an affinity for ice.

Despite Vulpix's continued struggles and calls for its siblings, Whitey Bay easily cleans off the mud with a wave of her chilly, moist hand, leaving a strong impression on the little Pokémon.

"Alright, clean now, go play," says Whitey Bay, placing Vulpix on the grass, where it hesitates before looking back at her, asking for companionship.

"Miu?"

"Do you want me to play with you?"

"Miu."
