Chapter 15: Enter Aron, Makuhita, and Grovyle

Alex walks into a grassy area near Rustboro City, he carefully moves through it, his Treecko and Whismur on his shoulders. He comes across two pokémon, fighting over fruit. One of the pokemon looking bulky, with a yellow body, a black marking on its chest that extends to its neck. Its feet yellow with two visible toes. A red, ring shaped marking in its cheeks and slit like eyes. On top of its head a knot making the pokemon look like a punching bag. The other pokemon would have four stubby legs and a large round head, its body black, with plates of grey armor covering its head, back and legs. Throughout its body would be small openings in the armor. There would be six openings on its head, with the largest two being openings for its pale blue eyes, and one opening on either side of the spike on its back. A single, blunt spike protrudes from its back.

{Alex} 'A Makuhita and an Aron..'

Makuhita jumps back, moving its hands up, covering most of its face, and thrusts its arms at the Aron. The Aron charges at Makuhita headbutting the its hands.

Alex looks at Treecko and Whismur.

{Alex} 'That was Arm Thrust and Headbutt..' He whispers to them. 'They both look strong..I must get that type of strength..'

Treecko and Whismur get the hint, and hop off his shoulders, in front of him.

"Treecko, use Pound attack on the Makuhita! Whismur use Astonish on Aron!'

Treecko leaps forward, charging at Makuhita, and hitting Makuhita with its tail from behind.

Makuhita hits into Aron.

Aron gets angry, headbutting Makuhita once again.

Whismur uses its Astonish attack on Aron, Aron winces.

{Alex} 'Treecko, use Pound attack on Makuhita once more! Whismur, use your own Pound attack on Aron!'

Treecko charges in towards Makuhita once more, hitting it from behind with its tail. Makuhita hits into Aron once again.

Aron gets even more angry, tackling Makuhita.

Just before Aron could, Whismur using its own Pound attack, hitting Aron with its ears, throwing it far apart from Makuhita.

Alex grabs two pokeballs, throwing one at each of them.

Both pokeballs fall to the ground. They both shake a couple times, one stops shaking and the red light fades on it, then the other pokeball opens, Aron popping out of it.

{Alex} 'Alright, Treecko, use Absorb! Whismur, use Pound attack on Aron from behind!'

Treecko, stays still and green particles flows from Aron, into Treecko. Whismur comes up behind Aron, hitting it with its ears. Aron lays on the ground, and pushes itself up, being weak.

Alex grabs another pokeball, throwing it at the Aron. The pokeball bounces off Aron's head, a red beam surrounds Aron, pulling it inside the pokeball. The pokeball shakes some more, then finally stops shaking, and the red light fades on the button of the pokeball.

Treecko and Whismur bring both pokeballs back to Alex, even the failed pokeball. Alex takes both of them, then freezes as his partner, Treecko glows white. It starts to grow, getting taller. Soon it stops and the glow fades revealing a brand new pokemon with a bright aqua blue body, with reddish looking leaves that are attached to its arms, some that look like a tail, and a longer leave on the back of its head, and a tannish color stretching from its stomach, cut by a strip of aqua blue, and then resumed all the way up to the bottom of its mouth.

{?} 'Grovyle!'

{Alex} 'Grovyle...'

{Grovyle} 'Grovyle..'
