26 Dick move

I'm currently looking through my newly and shoddily built pantry made from sanded back scrap wood for some nutella after a long day of suffering and training that seems to never end….

"Oh that's a dick move Slowpoke"

Only to find out that Slowpoke has once again abused his psychic powers and seemed to have teleported back home during a break in training to force his way into the pantry, which by the way was locked, to decimate any and all Nutella in the immediate vicinity..

"Sloooow?"

Slowpoke slowly warbles over to try and defend himself from my unwarranted accusation..

"I told you to leave me some next time you raided the pantry…. *sigh*…whatever….but I'm warning you, next time you eat ALL the Nutella I'm going to switch your shampoo back to the lemon one you hate so much"

"Slooooow"

"Don't push your luck buddy, I'll be doing another shopping trip in 2 days, we're running light on some stuff….machop has really been throwing himself into his new hobby blowing through our food"

"Poooooke"

"I know right? He's getting pretty good at it, that butter chicken was on point last night, almost makes it worth the hundreds I spent on cooking tapes for him"

Me and Slowpoke make our way out of the pantry into the "main living space" of our home, which was just the original room we lived in..

It's been 3 months since Becky got her caterpie, that's now a metapod. And not a whole lot has happened in those 3 months on the grind..

First off is Becky and her metapod, she really fell into her role as a "trainer" and started working with her caterpies accuracy and body conditioning….not that I ever let her train with me or see me train, I just gave her a few tips to help her out….I don't know if gravity training is a thing for other people but I didn't trust her enough to show her it..

Evolution takes awhile, not like in the show where a Pokémon can go from charmander to charizard in like 10 episodes….it takes time and training to get them to build enough energy for it…..

Watching caterpie evolve was pretty cool though, I just happened to be there when he hit the sweet spot, it was borderline impossible to watch it directly because the evolution shined like burning magnesium…but it was cool none the less…

I've had no evolutions yet…not that I really expected to but still…it would be nice..

Our training has really hit a stride lately with Ferroseeds gravity getting stronger by the day so the gains never really slow down because my mons never really get enough time to adapt to the pressure put on em during training…

Meowth has thickened out a little…not by a huge margin, but he's a lot broader than when we first met, his legs, back and tail have really filled out…I actually met another meowth during a trip into the city once….and he was small Tom cat compared to mine…so I'm doing something right…

Slowpoke has gotten a bit bigger, he's roughly 40% bigger than your average Slowpoke I found out asking around…. And while he still had a bit of a jiggle in his step from his chonky body if you actually pat him you'll find he's solid under all that outer fat… his psychic ability's have really been elevated to the next level under all this training as well….I mainly had him lift heavy boulders or make sandcastles in gravity…the sandcastles were tough to make because gravity kept flattening them out so he has to keep it level with content micro management to stop it from being compressed while he was building it

Machop as soon as I have him the ok to train threw himself into it training with aplomb might guy style, aggressively attacking his own body in the form of exercise and movement under heavy pressure, I was surprised to learned he actually already knew pretty much every punching moves…fire, thunder and ice, not to mention bullet punch and even poison jab. The little bugger even already knew close combat which just made him a little monster to fight..

It took awhile for Ferroseed to find her groove but when she did….she was impossible for anyone to take down, if she actually got time to set up a little she could hold down meowth and Slowpoke 2 on 1 and come out on top eventually… which was no easy feat as Slowpoke had flamethrower now….but she was an absolute fortress….an immobile one, but a fortress nonetheless…

Ingrain, leach seed on everyone and stack a few iron defences, and slapping anything that came close enough to her with a giga drain, super effective on a Pokémon or not it still kept her in a fight….that's not even mentioning how good she was with gravity….she could set up a gravity field around her like an expended ring…so anything that got close would be in for a hard time..

She didn't know spikes, toxic spikes or toxic yet but I'll figure out a way to train em or get a TM for em eventually and at that point she's going to be unstoppable…

We spent months on just conditioning and training the moves they already had bar the TMs, which I decided to give a Swords Dance to machop who took it and made it his own, flame thrower as well…

But conditioning consisted of basic body strengthening drills and potential 3d movement using the dilapidated buildings in the area while under gravity and random all in brawls bewteen my mons…

We had 1 v 1 fights all the time with different match ups but the most fun was the random all in brawls I thought, and I knew my mons felt the same…

It was to train response times and situational awareness, but while training with no warning or schedule I would call "FIGHT!" In the middle of training and they stop whatever that we're doing and start attacking everyone they could in a last man standing type all in battle, rules were no teaming up and that was basically it…the rest was fair game…

The first few brawls the crew learned that you can't give Ferroseed more than 30 seconds to set up or it was game over, she just automatically won by sheer attrition and staying power..

But they eventually found balance in fighting each other where there was never a constant winner anymore and the winner never came out of it looking fresh, always on their last legs….unless it was Ferroseed who got time to set up…

I also discovered their abilities in this time….well I think I did, and they were a little different than they were in the games…they have computers to tell you their abilities in the Pokémon centres but I didn't have access to those so I had to eyeball it

Meowth was technician I found out through trail and error, I asked around and found out "pick up" didn't just give you items when you beat other Pokémon, it was more of a 6th sense for anything the meowth considered valuable….so after hiding his favourite things around and him not being able to find them

I came to the conclusion he had technician… and technician from what I could tell just boosted all moves power a bit at the cost of stamina…

Slowpoke was a little trickier but i THINK he has regenerator, as it's hard to tell…but i works differently than in the game as he doesn't regen a part of his health in his pokeball….he's just straight up heals faster than other Pokémon by a large degree…I had to stop him from healing himself with heal pulse after a few battles to watch it…

Machop I'm fairly certain is "no guard", as I've never seen the dude miss an attack…I mean some have been dodged, but very few and they were dodged to sheer luck more than anything….but that could just be him being an accurate beast, he was actually poisoned by an ekans in one of our wild trecks once and he went berserk and smooshed the snake so I'm not 100%, but what I did learn that day was that I needed to carry around antidotes and other ailment cures at all times….I had to rush into town to grab one….poison is nasty stuff

I'll need to find a way to deal with that eventually, it's to expensive to keep buying antidotes and burn heals, heal pulse doesn't get rid of it completely, it helps sure but doesn't fully heal burns or filter poison…

And last but not least is Ferroseed, she obviously has iron barbs as it's the only ability her species actually had, it was easy to see especially after watching machop grimace after landing a hit onto her spiked body….

Over the last few months I've made a few adjustments to our living situation such as getting a tv….I just had to scavenge an old antenna from one of the old decrepit buildings that didn't look to bad, but it worked out ok..

I managed to steal some old refrigeration panelling to knock up some "bedrooms" in the adjacent rooms in our secret little home…it wasn't pretty but it worked out just fine…

I actually had to buy 2 more fridges and a chest freezer to handle all the food we were going through if I didn't want to run into town every few days, so I did…so we can last about a month without having to run into town anymore if I fully stuffed my little stolen truck to the gills with supplies..

I bought a few more odds and ends to make living more comfortable and my little base was finally more like a home but there was one problem..

I was burning through cash at a mad rate, especially after my mons got their first real taste of their favourite berrys and requested more….and I wasn't going to say no…they worked their asses off for me…the least I could do was get em something decent to eat…

With the extra food, berrys and life necessities I doubt it would last another year, and that's without having to pay rent or utilities, I don't even know what rent or utilities cost in this world….got trainers must make bank to afford this shit…

I make sure all my mons eat fresh meat as much as I can, I trusted the food from the pokemart…kinda….but I knew they needed fresh food to keep going strong….it was a tip from a retired ace trainer who was drunk off his ass I managed to con out of the information…

So I had 6 fishing rods in the river at all times while training and had meowth hunting rodent Pokémon after training for his after meal food….it helped a lot with costs, but it was just a stop gap….I'll have to hit another place or two sooner or later….

I doubt I'll get a big score like I did with the "darkness" base but I'll see what I can see I guess..

Me and Slowpoke made it out into the living room and saw machop working a pan next to Becky preparing dinner, meowth was lazily sprawled out over his lounge and Ferroseed was watching one of her favourite shows on tv, some sort of "days of our lives" drama with Pokémon thrown into it… she's really into dramas….

I make my way over to meowths lounge before pushing him out of the way to sit down, he lets a little yowl out at the indignity of what I'd done but jumps back up to settle down again with his head on my lap as I behind stroking his fur….

Slowpoke just flops down next to the lounge and dozes off and starts to drool smelling what machop and Becky was whipping up in the "kitchen"

"Dinner will be ready in about 20 minutes, go wash up before it's ready"

I huff with a bit of annoyance before lifting meowths head off me before moseying out to take a shower, I'd have to make a food run in a few days, it wouldn't hurt to case a few places out to see where I can make some easy coin….

Even if my Pokémon are monsters, I don't plan on visiting the black market until atleast meowth and machop evolve….I don't know how long that will take but I'm gonna stick to my guns on that….

So while getting undressed in the still chilly autumn air ready to take a shower I think on the days to come..
