Journey to the North
I am walking with my Bulbasaur carrying my bag with her wine whip as part of her training. Sometimes we forget how the most menial and insignificant tasks help us in the long run.
She has been doing good painting it in control while walking. Sometimes I would pick her up and walk, other times she would just walk while singing the Bulba song.
Not we are heading to Perter city, as I guess like the canon I should defeat brock or his father depending on our time of travel and training. We are going at an extremely slow pace, so slow that we have reached Viridian city same time as Ash, which is slow because unlike Ash we never turned sideways from the straight path to catch any pokemon.
Yes, we found some wild Pokémons but for the most part, we just defeated the pokemon and left them as they were.
Now many would say why not send to professor Oak or why not catch one or two as a temporary member?
I just don't want to. My team will only consist of permanent, my favorite Pokémons, with a great rating and lovable nature.
Now for my second Pokemon, I need a water type if I am challenging the Rock-type gym at Pewter City.
I had considered many options, including squirtle, gyrados, and polywhorl as the water representation but none can topple my real desire for my water-type pokemon in the series.
The thing was that it was a very difficult pokemon to acquire as it was not a Kanto pokemon. And to get the desired rating I would need money, money that I don't have.
I have checked that A-grade first evolution pokemon fetched the price of anywhere between 10 million to 100 million poke dollars depending on their type, evolutions, and rarity. For example, my Bulbasaur is a very desired "commodity" in the eyes of the traders, fetching the price of 70 million poke dollars, not that I would ever part ways with her.
Her understanding has made our bond very close, if she was human I would've taken her as a daughter, yet she is Pokemon and I am a 10-year-old child.
Anyway, what I need for my water type is the Pokemon from the Johto region, Totodile. Its evolution as Ferraligator is one of my favorite pokemon in the show and also wields a dual type much like my Bulbasaur, the Water-Dark type.
For me to purchase a newborn Totodile with an A-grade rating and that too from Johto to Kanto, the import will cost me a total of at least 120 million poke dollars, and last time I checked I had like 120,000. The rest were used up for supplies. Apparently, these were in my account courtesy of my uncle and aunt. They love me as their own, and having not their own ones, they use me as an alternative love beacon in their lives, which I reciprocate.
As for now, I am in Viridian city. There is a gym here but most would save it for their last badge, as Giovanni was not the easiest gym leader to battle within all of Kanto. I wonder why in the first episodes he was not mentioned when team rocket was attacking Viridian pokemon center. Probably orchestrated the whole thing himself or something, who knows?
As for my Bulbasaur, she had seen improvements by leaps and bounds due to all the ratatas, metapods, and some beedrills we had met on our way to the city.

In just a week she had upgraded her Vine whip mastery to B- and Razor leaf to C+. Till she does not evolve, upgrading to B+ is a nigh improbable task, so we are not going for other attacks.
Now I was trying to find a water-type pokemon, but my mind and heart is against catching anything except the future Ferraligator.
I do not have any means to collect 120 million out of nowhere.
Let's think about this later, for now, we are nearing the viridian city, and by the looks of officer Jenny at the gate, Team rocket has not attacked and repelled by Ash,
According to what I remember today should be the day they would attack the Pokemon center. Maybe I should help Nurse Joy here. I mean I do have an agenda for her. One of my eight spots of Pokemon has to fill by a healer. Chancey is the right fit, but the Joy group of nurses has a monopoly over Chancey across the world or so I have heard. Apparently, they buy any chance they could get at an outrageous price, just to maintain the monopoly.
And I want a chance, again a pricey pokemon. Till now I haven't caught any pokemon and just is looking to buy them. This is not gonna look good on my league profile, but who cares?
"Wait young man, due to reports of sighting of Pokemon robbers in Viridian city, everyone has to go through an identity check." Officer Jenny announced at the gate, I just handed over my Pokedex, seemingly useless except for the fact it provides a means of my identity after I got the system.
"Verified, Ethan hunt from Pallet town, be vigilant young man, the robbers call themselves team rocket, and losing your first pokemon can be traumatic to some." How incompetent when she already tells me what the result of robbery can be instead of reassuring me there won't be any.
"Does the strongest Gym leader in Kanto not protect the city from Pokemon robbers, Officer jenny?" I inquired as politely as I could.
"Gym leader Giovanni has been called to the League headquarters at the Indigo plateau, the robbers won't dare show their face in the presence of any gym leader." Officer jenny answered after which I took my Pokedex and headed to the Pokemon center, to watch the drama that would play tonight here.
