Nightmare,

Everytime it's different,

But then again it's the same,

I always end up gasping for air.

Nightmare,

I'm always dying,

These soon became familiar in life,

I accepted it with my arms wide.

Nightmare,

I was scared of them,

They used to haunt me,

But now without them I can't fall asleep.

Nightmare,

One night it was a gun,

Next it was a truck,

Sometimes I ended up in a tub.

Nightmare,

I've learnt to embrace it,

It maybe weird to some,

But they've began to soothe me.

Nightmare,

It's been almost 2 years,

Just like a routine it repeats itself,

By now I've started calling them dreams.

Nightmare,

No one knows about it,

Not even my family,

What are they going do to about it,

Send me to therapy?
