Birth of a phoenix

(Kazumi wakes up late for school, So in an attempt to make it to class on time he cuts through his neighbor's yards, Luckily he sneaks in just as his name is called after which the class shuffles out toward the bus and after a short ride they arrive at the bullet train for their field trip. )

(After a 1-hour train ride and a 15-minute hike, the class arrives at the ruins that were recently opened to the public. On the way down the trail, Kazumi, who is at the tail-end of the line, falls down a steep hill into a dense forest.)

(After a few minutes of shouting at the top of hill to get someone's attention, he gives up and walks down a path until he runs across a decrepit building.)

(He ventures onward into a room with a giant flame and a mantle, as he approaches it he see's what appears to be a glowing katana on the mantle slowly he reaches for the sword and unsheathes it and is shocked to see there is no blade.)

(Suddenly the fire behind the mantle intensifies blinding him with a bright red light when he comes to he sees his friend a teenage girl named Yuki Nakamura, meanwhile Kazumi's father has been summoned by his boss Nagato the leader of the Samaki clan as well as the benefactor of the excavation project.)

"How's the excavation going Mr. Kishimoto?" asked Mr. Samaki.

"It's fine we will have the area excavated within the week" said Kishimoto.

"Really that's interesting because my sources tell me you have been sabotaging our excavation equipment."

"I don't know what you're talking about sir."

"It would be in your best interest not to lie to me my men tell me otherwise they say you've found the location of the relic you will hand it over to me or you and your family will suffer the consequences of your actions."

Later that day Kazumi returns home to a letter from his mother saying that she and his sister have left to run some errands and would be back later so he leaves for his friend Yuki's house.

"Hey Kazumi why were you taking a dirt nap in the middle of the trail?" asked yuki.

"I must have fallen and hit my head but listen while I was out I had this weird dream."

Kazumi explains the dream in great detail

"Sounds sorta dangerous good thing it was only a dream."

"Yeah a dream." Says kazumi unsurely.

Kazumi stares out of the window for a few minutes then he turns to Yuki.

"Hey you mind walking home with me."

Yuki who had been staring at Kazumi blushes losing her composure.

"Um, thanks but no thanks I have too much work to do and I have chores."

Yuki rambles on naming chores and why she couldn't walk home with him trying to hide her feelings.

"Bye see you later."

Yuki waves as Kazumi goes home she closes the door behind her and slowly falls to the ground scolding herself for not telling Kazumi she'd walk home with him.

Kazumi arrives at his house goes to his room and lays in bed.

" [Their still not back yet.]"

Kazumi begins thinking about the dream and eventually he falls asleep while asleep he keeps seeing visions of the temple but this time it was different he saw a warrior badly injured in the temple then there was a flash of red light then the warrior was gone, at that moment Kazumi began to feel hotter and hotter and then he awoke to the smell of smoke, his house was on fire.

The fire was everywhere but strangely he was untouched by the flames ignoring this he rushed through the house looking for his family he raced down the stairs calling his family with no answer as he ran outside he sees his father being zipped up in a black bag and his mother and sister in critical condition being taken away in an ambulance he is greeted by a medic.

"They collapsed from the heat and everything got worse from then on I'm sorry but your father didn't make it."

Kazumi arrives at Sukiwara hospital with his mother and sister and sits in a room with them , as he sits there sad and worried he then remembers his dream and begins to feel guilty that he alone was unscathed when his whole family had suffered from the fire.

Meanwhile at the remains of kazumi's home.

"There seems to have been a few survivors sir among them was his son who surprisingly was unharmed by the fire."

"Did you find what we were looking for?" Asked Mr. Samaki

"Negative we have a team looking through the rubble as we speak. "

"Sir you might want to see this for yourself sending you images now."

" Not only did he know what we were after according to these Blueprints of the area he had us digging in the wrong place."

"So he knew what we were after and hid its location from us."

"There's a problem sir he ripped a piece of the blueprints it only Shows the current dig site the other piece must have been on him when he died."

"Go to the hospital I must have the location of the relic."

Later that night at the hospital.

"We found this among your father's belongings." Said the doctor.

"What is it."

"We don't know we were hoping you would know what to do with it."

"[That's the symbol from my dream]Thank you I'll take it."

On the way to his to the remains of his house Kazumi sees men in black suits thrifting through the remains of His home ,soon after one of the agents notices him and Kazumi runs off to Yuki's house with no other place to go.

"I heard about the fire are you ok?" Asked Yuki.

Kazumi's expression saddens.

"Dads dead and yuzu and mom may not make it!"

Yuki with a worried look on her face drops the glass of water for Kazumi it shatters as it hits the ground cutting Yuki and she begins to bleed so Kazumi runs to her.

"Are you ok where are the emergency supplies?"

"In the kitchen top cabinet."

Kazumi grabs the alcohol and cotton.

"This is going to sting a little."

Yuki whimpers from the pain.

"It hurts."

" You really did a number on your foot are you ok to walk?"

Kazumi wraps Yuki's foot in bandages.

"I think so."

As they both stand Yuki tries to walk but falls on top of Kazumi pinning him to the ground.

"Are you ok."

"Yeah I'm fine."

Kazumi gently squeezes Yuki's chest not realizing what it was, Yuki embarrassed realizing she was on top of Kazumi panics gets off him and sits on the couch ,Kazumi who is still on the ground looks at his hand and opens and closes it a few times then he notices the look on Yuki's face and he apologizes after realizing he groped her chest.

A few awkward min later.

"So you think your dad knew about this temple you saw in your dream well I'm not sure if it was a dream or real but I'm sure he would want you to finish his work."

All of a sudden the agents storm in and kidnap Yuki.

"Kazumi!" Screams Yuki.

"If you want to see her alive be at the excavation site in one hour or else you'll never see her again and bring the map."

"If you hurt her you'll regret it."

One hour later.

"Im here now let her go."

"Not so fast first you will lead me to the temple try anything and she dies." Says Mr.Samaki

"That's not what we agreed on I brought your map now let her go."

"You're not in the position to be making demands take me to the temple or she dies."

"Fine."

Kazumi leads Mr. Samaki to the temple with his henchmen holding the Yuki behind them.

"Where is it where is the relic?"

"It was there i swear"

Mr. Samaki's eyes glow yellow as he uses his power which allows him to see past events, through this power he sees Kazumi get the relic and he demands he hands it over Kazumi unable to give it to him tries to escape with Yuki he hits a guard and they try to run but get grabbed by the henchman.

"Do it."

The agent pulls out a gun and prepares to shoot Yuki ....he fires.

"Nooooo."

Kazumi's entire body ignites in a blaze of fire.

"He has the relic kill him."

Two agents begin to carry Yuki away.

"Don't you touch her!"

Kazumi runs at the men and makes quick work of them with his flame kicks and punches then he turns on Mr. Samaki but he is too strong and overpowers him using a dagger and strange powers.

" Why couldn't you just die with your family it would have made things much less complicated?"

"What."

"You look so much like him it sickening."

"How do you know about my family?"

" really you still haven't realized....It was I who gave the order to burn your home to the ground it's such a pity your whole family didn't go up in flames but it was worth it now that your father is out of the way no one can stop me."

"You bastard I'll kill you."

Kazumi jumps up and tries to punch Mr. Samaki with all his strength but Mr. Samaki just dodges it.

"[There is no way he could dodge me at such close range]."

Weak from his own attack Kazumi collapses ,with victory seemingly in hand Mr. Samaki approaches Kazumi.

"Did you think you were the only one of your kind, I wish I could say I felt sorry for you but alas I do not you will die now along with your friend give her my best regards."

As Mr. Samaki is about to strike a killing blow Kazumi grabs his blade with his bare hand stopping him as he rose up from the floor from a knelt position to standing his eyes glowing red he punches him knocking him back far enough to grab Yuki and escape once at a safe distance ,the seemingly possessed Kazumi then uses his remaining power to save Yuki.

"Don't move your life is hanging by a thread I am using my power to save you however giving you some of my power may have some adverse effects on your body i don't know what may happen But listen carefully my name is jushiro and I have dwelled in this shrine for hundreds of years however I am nothing more than a shadow of my former self ,

one night shooting stars fell to the earth of the two that landed here only one was recovered it is believed it contains an ancient spirit with Dominion over fire and was sealed away however as for the other the Samaki clan used its power to reign over the land Causing war and sorrow where ever they went,

I alone stood against them using the power of our ancient relic from the stars but I couldn't control it's power and in the end I died protecting the one I loved ,This boy is the new onvoy of that power whether he likes it or not watch over him for he must finish what I could not he must bring an end to the Samaki clan for good and bring peace to this world I am counting on you"

"I must go now himiko is calling to me."

Kazumi passes out ,meanwhile back at the temple the man thought to be Mr. Samaki receives a call.

"Sir he's escaped and it seems he's bonded with the relic."

"Interesting, [Kazumi Kishimoto] good work time to return."

"Sir might I add that the boy may even become a threat if his power were to develop further."

"Don't worry I'll Be keeping tabs on our new friend."
