CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

Lu San walked in and smiled. "Jia."

Jia nodded her head in acknowledgement....then introduced him..."Lu san...this is my assistant Xiaobai and the one standing at the door is my bodyguard Jinhai." Lu San stretched his beautiful slender hands and shook Xiaobai's hand then looked at Jinhai who was standing at the door gracefully then nodded his head at him Jinhai nodded his head back in acknowledgement....

Xiaobai was extremely happy and nervous she was Lu San's biggest fan.

"hi...uhm hello...i mean Good afternoon Mr Lu." Xiaobai stammered nervously...." You dont need to call me Mr Lu a friend of Jia's is a friend of mine call me Lu San." He spoke with a base. He looked at Xiaobai and found her to be extremely cute that he couldn't help himself but pinch her chubby cheeks.

Xiaobai blushed embarrassingly then ran out and went to the bathroom she couldn't believe that Jia knew someone as famous as Lu San.

"Here look at these.." Jia spoke then handed him the documents she was carrying.

Lu San read and flipped the pages and after a few minutes he spoke...."little Jia is so productive this will definitely help us take that stupid sister of yours down..... I'll treat you to a meal after this what do you think of that?.." Lu San asked playfully thinking that he had made a good suggestion.

"Tsk....why does that statement sound so farmiliar..." Jia mocked...

"Ooh wait... I remember now... that was how we got photographed....how about this just give me money instead." Jia laughed sounding silly.

"Little Jia can you just spare my pockets please..." Lu San whined.

" Is the Lu corporation going bankrupt?" Jia asked raising her eyebrows.....

"Aaaaaahhhhh.....how about a duet in a game of legends." Lu San thought for a while then spoke.

"Do you really dare? Mmmmmh when you know the outcome each and every time...You cant really beat me even with my eyes closed."

"Dont worry about that am now one hundred and one percent confident of winning...."

"Fine at my place....after the press conference."

"Looking forward to crushing you Jia Li."

"You wish." Jia laughed hysterically.

Jia took out her phone then messaged Wei Sihan...."Am bringing a friend over for a friendly game....see you tonight."

"Okay .....as you wish."

Xiaobai walked in.....she stood at the door perplexed...Jia has never spoken so freely with others...she always regarded her as an introvert....but today.... what she saw changed her view.

The Jia who was usually quiet knew how to diss people and even took the initiative to invite Lu San over for a game at her house...No at the Master's house...which was now practically her house now..... Xiaobai stood silently thinking.

She once had to literally beg Jia for more than thirty minutes to accompany her somewhere and after all that she still had to buy Jia her favorite box of chocolates. Aaah why was she always so unlucky when it comes to the little boss.

After thirty minutes....Jia and Lu San walked downstairs towards the main hall. They walked in one after the other.....

The reporters had already arrived and after spotting them they began snapping pictures.....they were going to broadcast the press conference live so everyone was waiting eargerly on what Jia was going to say.

"Look at her walking calmly...yet she's just a joke"

"I wonder how she'll defend herself"

"Am eargerly waiting to see her embarrass herself"

"The above commentor you better shut up My Jia will not let me down"

"I agree.....I love her calmness"

"Aaah she's so pretty"

Xiaobai read the comments then scoffed just wait and see you guys face slapping yourself.

Jia and Lu San went and sat down on the front seats.....Since Jia's manager was Wei Sihan he could not come as they had not yet made it public so Xiaobai walked to the podium then spoke.

"Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen...My name is Xiaobai and am Miss Jia's assistant.....You all know the reason for calling this press conference I will not take up much time....lets welcome Mr Lu first.....we will not have a question and answer session after this as all your answers will have been answered by then. Thank you." Xiaobai spoke then went and sat beside Jia.

At this moment the doors were opened and Jiang Yan walked in dressed in a beautiful blue gown.....She swayed her hips seductively leaving everyone speechless she walked to the front as the reporters gave her space clicking her photo...She could not miss to see Jia's biggest failure.

Wei Sihan sat in his office watching the press conference keenly he was patiently waiting to see his little wife....He had not seen her for the past few days and was becoming very anxious about it. He smiled seeing Jia walk in but the sight that followed Jia made him freeze that he forgot to breath.

He looked at Lu San worriedly... then picked up his phone then dialed Wang Li's number....

After one ring he spoke...." Investigate everything about Jia Li....I mean everything dont even leave a single detail." He spoke angrily then hanged up.

Could it be Lu San was in love with Jia or was it the vice versa....he scratched his temples feeling very frustrated thinking about that. He couldn't figure out how on earth Lu San met Jia to the extent of being friends.

He recalled Jia's message about bringing a friend....Could he be the friend? He was so engrossed in thinking that he din't even notice Jiang Yan's exaggerated entrance.

He immediately closed the documents he was reviewing before the press conference...then focused back on the screen.

Lu San walked towards the podium then spoke confidently..."Good afternoon everyone.....As most of you know me am Lu San...I was so dissapointed seeing people speak ill of Jia even my own fans....Jia is one of my most loyal friends...that afternoon I personally called and arranged the meeting. I was abroad for more than six months so when I arrived a few days ago I called her for a cup of coffee then I was photographed hugging her. I dont see any fault in hugging a friend after being away for so long and not being able to see her but some of you exaggerate and make it a big deal out of nothing.

As my fans I hope after this you will all be able to protect Jia....the way you protect me....Jia is like my younger sister its my duty to step in when there is a problem. I hope ive clarified this matter.Thank you." He moved one step back then bowed.

"We are sorry Lu San and Jia."

"Yeah we are sorry....From today onwards am vouching for #teamJia#teamLuSan."

"Me too...now that i see they are indeed a good match despite Lu San saying he treats Jia as a young sister."

"Yeah they are a match made in heaven."

"Aaawww they look so beautiful."

"I heard Jia formed a group.....lets all join."

"Yeah lets join and support them."

After Lu San's speech everyone changed their views and were supporting them.

Jiang Yan was so angry that her face became extremely ugly and was clenching her fists but she couldn't act rash not when there were many report ers....Jia looked at her then smiled she stood up then walked to the podium.

Wei Sihan was extremely Jealous....how could he allow another man defend and take care of his own wife..

No that was his job...the thought of Jia hugging Lu San made him more angry....but he just had to watch the show then teach Lu San a lesson later on.

"Hi everyone....Am Jia Li for those who dont know me.....I hope Lu San has clarified everything but for those who dont know my logo....'its an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth'...Since someone took the initiative to start the rumor how about I end it...." Jia spoke camly then stopped for a while and looked at Jiang Yan smiling.

Jiang Yan became extremely frightened seeing Jia's smile but she consoled herself that how can the naive Jia find out who spread the rumors...thinking of that she gained courage then stood upright straightening her shoulders.

Jia turned towards Xiaobai then nodded her head....After a few seconds pictures of Jiang Yan following Jia and taking a picture of Lu San and Jia hugging were seen....

Everyone was shocked as they didn't expect the outcome the reporters quickly clicked pictures...

Xiaobai then played a recording of Jiang Yan making the call.

"As you can all see the real mastermind behind all these is none other than my younger sister Jiang Yan." Jia Li then went towards Jiang Yan so that she could attract more attention then spoke pitifully...if Jiang Yan can act pitiful so can she thats what she learnt from her for 20years.....

"Sister....what have I ever done to deserve this.".Jia li spoke pretending to cry.

"But dont worry ive forgiven you since your still my sister after all blood is thicker than water." She continued. After that Jia walked out of the hall with a smile on her face Lu San, Xiaobai and Jinhai followed her leaving Jiang Yan with the reporters.

"Miss Jiang what do you have to say for yourself?"

"Why did you do that?"

"Miss Jiang please answer our questions are you jealous of your sister?"

"Miss Jiang."

"Miss Jiang."

"Leave me alone....Stay away from me." Jiang yan shouted then ran out embarrassingly....The reporters hurriedly followed her...good thing she had brought her manager and was waiting for her outside.....She hurriedly got into the car then left.

Outside Xiaobai read the comments happily..

"Aah Jia is so nice she actually forgave her sister after all that she went through."

"If I was her... I would have given Jiang Yan a beating."

"Me too....Ill protect Jia henceforth."

They both went towards the car park.... Jia told Jinhai to drop Xiaobai off as she will be going with Lu San after saying that they all parted ways.

Wei Sihan on the other hand hurriedly drove back home.
